Love the food. The parking is terrible and I do not know if that is a reflection on the business or the city but there are potholes on entry and exit and they are big and dangerous. 🤬

Now back to the point, the communication can be a bit quiet but if you “kill them with kindness” they are receptive and tend to smile back. ♥The main lady is so beautiful and she is so attentive even when she answering the phone, packing an order and ringing out. Great at multitasking. For real. For real. I mainly go in the back for the restaurant. I love thé quality and quantity of the food. When I visit home, I always get enough to travel out of state with and it never fails to survive (🤣) and still taste like it was just made. The drive is usually about 7 hours so that is example of how well the food is prepared to last that duration in a traveling car.

This was a gem a love turned me on to and I love returning here each time I am home. ♥♥♥

Consider this, today June 13, 2017, after work, the height of rush hour, I drove for 2 hours thru mind numbing traffic, just to have the lamb. AND IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT!!
The onions, the spices, the succulent juicy chunks of lamb, I luuuv this dish!

Update: had this same dish after review and I got VIOLENTLY sick! Did not want to believe it was the food so wrapped up the remaining portion and froze it. Two weeks later took it out to try again, and again got violently sick. That closed it for me. Can no longer recommend in good faith.

Compared to the early 2000's, this area has transformed & is continuously improving for its customers. I typically stop by there with a family member to do their groceries shopping once the supplies of food at home is low but on other occasions, I'm there to get something to eat or share from the African Restaurant in the back...The take-outs 🍲 are always plentiful for me with enough to choose from so thanks to the staff working the restaurant...My only two cents; the staffs could use extra hands on deck at food's dispensing area, with enough customers waiting in line to get on with life but not possible because staffs are overwhelmed by waiting customers at times I have been there.

African-American market .everything is available at this place, and you will never miss back home. Affordable food stuff makes you cook like you are in Africa.

The food is excellent and mostly the workers over there are very friendly and courteous. I like lamine, the cashier of the restaurant. Always smiling and making you feel exceptional. The market's owner is also very friendly and customer centered. I will 100% recommend this place.

The best African market in the whole Minnesota. Every time I come visit from New York, I make sure to make a stop here. The food is just amazing and the customer service is a 10/10. Highly recommended to anyone.

The food was amazing. I literally went there to pick up food for my friend and they let me try some and once I did, I just had to go back for my own plate. They serve you a very large portion of food, which is just the cherry on top. I'm actually upset that I underestimated this place a while back; I've been missing out. Good food, great price, and large portions ? oh yeah, It's littttttttt !!!!

Great inventory for all African foods. Miondo, ekwang, garri, cassava, etc. We are blessed to have this and not forget home.

This is my go-to place for African cuisine. The staff is very nice and helpful and the food is amazing! I had the potato greens and honey garlic chicken simply to live for. I'll be back thanks!

Friendly staff. My only complaint is that the food is too spicy. My wife loves the food but complained always about the spicy nature of the food. Please have less spicy dishes for those who can’t handle it.
