I love this place. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the food is even better. We arrived on a weekday right when they opened. I am absolutely obsessed with the kimchi they have. The wings that they have are great! My husband and I will be returning frequently.

I had the RaMN and it was really good! Thicker creamy sauce with lots of flavor. Make sure to try the fried kimchi!

Definitely ranks in the top 3 spots for ramen in Minneapolis, we really enjoyed the DraMN. The DraMN is like a chicken based version of tonkotsu ramen (pork). The chicken bone broth is so rich flavor, and the leek is a nice addition as a topping. For an appetizer, we really liked the friend kimchi, so delicious!

I’ve gotten something different each time i’ve been here and it’s all been amazing. My absolute favorite thing on their menu is the fried kimchi! The restaurant is so cozy and cute.

A delicious ramen joint with broth to die for! Their ramen broth is so rich and creamy with loads of umami. The duck ramen and korean wings were incredible. Great atmosphere with very friendly and attentive staff. Lots of dishes are available vegetarian or gluten free. Ordering is all online, you open a tab for your table, making it super easy to customize dishes. Definitely coming back.

They had a lot of options for different diet types. The broth we got was chicken. The noodles were a bit thick and tasty. The chicken meat was super tender. Serving size was large, as normal be with ramen. My husband and I split a bowl and the be accommodated us. They had great decor, good music, friendly staff. Food was tasty. Really happy we came here.

Wonderful spot. Perfectly paired flavors with dishes that encouraged me to try something new. The meats and sauces had a lot of flavor. Enjoyable spot to grab food at the bar or at a table. Kid friendly. Great service.

Took our grandson for lunch. New experience of ordering from phone at table and paying before eating. The three dishes we got were delicious but, seemed on expensive side! For three of us it was over $60 without any drinks or dessert.
Surprise pic of Prince in one of the bathrooms.
Went back 10/30/22 with son & family. Great Bloodly Mary. Had a Tea Egg...& Their shrimp pancake entree. Grandson loves the place. Music was only thing that could be on a lower volume.
Unique murals outside.

Tori 44 (and Tori Ramen, their St. Paul location), is literally one of the top ramen spots in the Twin Cities. This is because they embody the spirit of what ramen is. They have original and unique ramen. You won't find a ramen like their's in the state or in the country even. They make their own noodles, which is rare in the States. Their main ramen selections are poultry based, although they do run some unqiue ramen specials every now and then.

My personal ramen picks here are the DraMN and Duck Ramen.

The DraMN is their OG and first original bowl of ramen that I know of. They had this ramen back when they ran Unideli, a former ramen spot that used to occupy the deli area in the Japanese grocery store United Noodles (some MN ramen history for ya). The broth is emulsified chicken bone broth. Think tonkotsu, but instead of pork, it is chicken. The broth is thick, creamy, and fatty. It comes with chicken chashu, soft boiled eggs, and some other really delicious and unique toppings. This bowl incorporates unique flavors, salty, sweet, and umami.

The Duck Ramen is a more citrusy broth. The Duck chashu is so moist and tender. Super delicious. Again, with the soft boiled egg and their unique and delicious toppings.

Their noodles have a perfect bounce and bite to them.

Again, they do a lot of specials. Sometimes, they run some unique ramen incorporating other kinds of meat like lamb. It is also a norm to find them doing specials that is vegan/plant-based (they had a really good vegan/plant-based tsukemen/dipping ramen one time). Speaking of plant-based, they are plant-based friendly and do have good options. See pictures I've attached for a couple photos of specials they had.

My go-to appetizers/small plates here are their yuchayaki (plant-based takoyaki made of yucha), wings, and fried kimchi (think of extra crispy battered kimchi, making it like kimchi chips/karaage). Just think fried pickles, but kimchi instead. Just to note, they recently took out yuchayaki, but sometimes they bring it back.

Lastly, their cocktails are amazing. The Shiso cocktail is so refreshing and aromatic.

That being said, I hope you understand now why this spot is a top-notch ramen spot. If you're a ramen fanatic, Tori 44 (their Minneapolis location) and Tori Ramen (their St. Paul Location) is a must stop in the Twin Cities. Aside from ramen, they are just an awesome restaurant in general with delicious food. They serve other dishes besides ramen too.

Really enjoy their ramen so we came here on Easter. They expanded their menu so we decided to try some new things. My husband had the biscuit and gravy from their brunch menu and loved it. I had the duck leg rice bowl and it was way better than expected. The sauce was phenomenal! Service was also very good. The server gave us a free tea egg since it was Easter!

Fast service and helpful. Flavors were soooo good and sweet. The first picture is the DraMN, it was very good more savory. They said thats their most popular. The second was the Bali Bali and it was very sweet and nutty. Both were amazing. I'll think about these dishes, they were so good..

Absolutely fantastic service and the food was downright delectable. Our host even took time to humor us in our conversation on the classification of foods. As we were leaving she said something to me and I took my earbud out and she spoke again and I still couldn’t hear her, wanting to save myself the embarrassment I hurriedly left the establishment and while,at the time of writing, it’s been only a few moments since i left I hate awkward departures and I’m deeply sorry for my lack of listening and I’ll come back soon enough to atone for my misdeeds 😔

Gluten friendly menu options. However, please be very weary & ensure your server & the BOH understands your dietary needs & what it is you can & cannot have e.g. wheat, barley, rye.

Five stars for the food & for Dan.
Other services get one star.

$12 impromptu yakitori flight created by Dan which included two skewers of lamb belly, two duck hearts & two lamb meatballs. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’ve never had lamb belly before but I’ve had lamb. Initially we ordered the yakitori flight, but Dan had forgotten to update the menu & didn’t have this flight. This is how we ended up with lamb meatballs, the belly & he did find some duck hearts. This belly was crisp, flavorful, I cook taste the charcoal or whatever it is he cooked them on, moist, melt in your mouth fatty, amaze means! I also appreciate Dan approaching us immediately letting us know the yakitori flight wasn’t available. If purchased alone, the lamb belly is $7 (a piece I think).

Honored to have gotten to be Dan’s Guinea pigs in trying the lamb meatballs he plans to add to the menu.

Cute, cozy location & I give Dan five stars. The other servers were meh, lack of personality.

Every menu item my husband and I have had at Tori 44 has been amazing. For our most recent order, we got the DraMN and the duck banh mi. Both were delicious and our friend loved her cold ramen dish. I highly recommend giving it a try.

So excited about this place after moving to the area. Very casual joint. This place is perfect for a cozy winter night. Got the bali bali which had a balance of salty and sweeter notes. The Dra MN was salty and savory. Chef stopped by and asked how things were told us in the summer they make banh mi’s. We will definitely be going back to try wings and few other items.

been enjoying chef Jason’s ramen since back in his unideli days and honestly am kicking myself for waiting this long to come try out tori 44. so glad i finally did, everything about it was amazing. the service was friendly, had heaters for the chilly weather, and the ramen was on point. broth with so much flavor and depth you have to pinch yourself to see if it is a dream! also, the noodles themselves are cooked perfectly with good bounce and texture. can’t wait to come back and try the other bowls.

We hadn't been to this place in several years and I will say it has changed. Instead of a super busy congested space, it was much more laid back, with perceivably less pressure to eat and get out. The ramen was a little pricey but super delicious, and a quality like I've had in a friend's home kitchen. Not overly fancy, and straight to the point. I'm not a fan of ordering on a digital menu, I'd rather walk up to a counter to ask questions, or see a person at the table, thankfully it was optional. The drink menu was only online, I wish I'd had a little more time to take it in - it was honestly refreshing to see they don't serve alcohol. I went there wanting a beer, but I left there not missing it. And the vegetarian/vegan/can be vegan (CBV) indicators on the menu were super helpful because I know where I can bring my veg friends for a good hot meal. I highly, highly recommend their fried kimchi.

Quality stuff here. Super smooth root beer for $6 a bottle. Each dish was amazing, full of flavor. Even the ice is quality stuff! The ice stayed super cold, keeping our beverages nice and cold, unlike regular ice that just melts right away.
