China gate

No dine in, strictly take out. I have been there twice in the last 2 months; so far I've tried the Gai Kow and the Sweet/Sour Shrimp dinners (both as combo plates). They both were very good, large amounts of food, I had 3 meals from each dinner. Staff were very nice both times I visited.

Definitely my favorite chinese restaurant! My fiance and I have tried a few things from here and everything's always been good. Great customer service and prices and portions are fair which I appreciate!

I can't stress how much I love this place. The food is outstanding. I have gotten several items but my favorite is the #32 general chicken meal. I love general chicken but most places give you little grisly pieces of what they call meat but are more breading than anything. China gate gives you big chunks of white meat covered in a delicious sweet sauce and a pile of rice that is cooked to perfection. And the cost... they serve lunch portions all day and they feed 2 people for around $7. This is affordable and good quality food. The owners and workers are amazing as well, friendly and helpful and take the time to learn who you are. If you haven't tried this place you are missing out on a treat.

Everybody reading this probably has their own favorite Chinese restaurant. China Gate has been around for a long time and it is always great. My cashew chicken had fresh veggies, big mushrooms (hate them, wife eats them for me) and a LOT of big cashew pieces. And the eggrolls are the best part. I do not know what they make them with, but it is a food I crave. Reasonable prices and large portions. Dont change a thing!!

They have the best food around, at great prices. Never disappointed when coming here.

This is a carry out only place. Wish it was dine in.

My new go-to. Just moved to the area a month ago and in that month, this is the best Chinese place I've found.
It's got everything.
The almond chicken dinner combo was crispy crunchy and the gravy yummy, and in large enough portions to have a satisfying dinner and plenty leftover for a satisfying lunch the next day.
The wontons they give you for their wonton soup come in a separate baggy so they stay crunchy.
Crunchy yummy egg rolls.
Flavorful, fresh fried rice.
An honor system trough of soy sauce and cutlery on your way out.
Friendly service.
Great prices.
Would recommend, I'm definitely going back soon.

My favorite local restaurant. Everything is delicious and fresh. They give you enough food for 2-3 people.

I read a review, that this place had a new owner and food was really good. I wanted to give it a try. I had sweet and sour and pepper steak in my first two visits. Really good food. Glad i tried it and the owner was super nice too.

Love this place. It's my favorite. I've been coming here for over 21 years, and it's still great. Owners are nice and the portions are great for the price. And I just tried the new lo mein recipe, and I gotta say it's pretty good too. Definitely a good upgrade. Place is awesome.

Tried this for the first time when other places were closed on Easter. I'm glad I did and will definitely be back. My family feasted on General tsos, broccoli chicken, chicken lo mein, crab Rangoon, and eggdrop soup. Every single dish was good and everyone was full and we had leftovers without breaking the bank.

The roasted pork fried rice was delicious! Great flavor on veggies and pork, unlike A LOT of fried rice that is just bland filler. Dumplings were tasty too! Friendly, fast service!

Best Chinese food ever.
As I sit here eating leftover Chinese from another random place up in Michigans U.P. I couldn’t help but wish I was eating China Gate.
I’ve been eating from China Gate since I was 12yo. It’s my favorite place to eat. I’m 33 now and have moved to TN, then back up to Michigans UP but I’ve never had a better sweet and sour chicken in my life - and Lord knows I’ve tried. Your fried rice is perfection and even my picky husband loves it. I lived off your food 3x a week while pregnant with my first child, and my husband and Is date nights were Chinese food and movies. You even remembered our order just from the name.
When my husband drives the 9 hours back to Westland for his family - he always brings me my favorite sweet and sour chicken on the way back up.
This is my childhood - And will always be my favorite restaurant.
