Not a lot of frills here. We got the 8-Layer Sub and it fed two of us.

Look it’s a weird little delicatessen the 8 and 2 with every thing is what I was recommended so that’s what I got next time I’m gonna have to try to the 12 meat. But the 8 meat was really good get it with everything. I didn’t take any photos because well this place is well known and I feel like my review is just another in a giant box of reviews. But food for thought they close at 6pm so eat early !

Great take out subs. And other cold foods. Freshly made right in front of you. Fast and friendly. Also they have a small selection of Italian goods.

Fast, great subs ordered just the way you like, service so-so. What happened to being greeted with a 'hello what can we get you'and 'a smile'?? Register person very friendly. Overall GREAT subs.

Truly a gem. I have been here 7-8 times and the subs are always on point. Fresh ingredients and owners that really make sure that you will be stuffed after one sub. Literally any sub you get will be amazing and fresh

Love this place so much. I love the pasta salad I love the tuna sub and I love the cannolis.. The employees are very nice and very caring.

This will always be the OG Gonella’s for me. The rest just want to be. They are busy…. Always, and for good reason. They have the stuff fresh. The downside for me is I wish the person taking my order paid more attention to the order to get it right. The prices should be higher for the product you are getting. The prices should be cheaper if you get both my sub order and my side order wrong. If you haven’t had it you have to try it.

Absolutely The best staff an subs... as well as their multiple pasta, macaroni, potato, antipasto salads. Everything from the meats... cheeses.. breads are always fresh... they offer differentt sized meat an cheese layered sus. 👍

Been going here since I was a kid, my dad used to take me. They have the best deli & subs in Detroit. Homemade dressing on the subs aged in oak barrels, everything’s amazing!

Great Subs!!! Try their spaghetti salad very very good ... Oh and they have those cool spicy flavored pretzels and Faygo rock n rye

Love Gonellas! First time getting there in 30 years and the sandwiches are absolutely the very best and they still sell their Sunday gravy. It’s no longer an old fashioned Italian market because the neighborhood is gone.

Best deli sub around. Definitely get a side of dressing and a bag of kettle corn. Perfect lunch!

This place has been around since my uncles grandparents where kids his family owned it at one time then a distant relative bought it when his grandfather passed they will never sell there subs are amazing there fresh baked italin bread is amazin all of there food they serve you will not regret buying well worth ur buck u have to try it

The best multiple layered Subs of your choice in the area and they're special dressing. Does take bridge cards or EBT, even on the subs package specially to qualify. Olive bar and other salads available. Specialty Italian products in the store and breads

Wow great service, I got 4 very good subs 4 very big subs. Did I tell you how very good these subs were? Fresh buns soft inside and just right outside not too chewy. So much better than the chain sub restaurants. You must try this place.
