Spectrum Health Kelsey Hospital

Excellent care and staff! My mom recently had an emergency room visit, and I was so impressed with the care she received. The politeness at the registration desk, EMT, the nursing staff, and ER physicians were absolutely wonderful. They were swift to run appropriate tests and get her the quality care she needed. Her condition, unfortunately, required hospital admission, but we are so very thankful for their decision making and compassionate care. The town of Lakeview is blessed to have such a fabulous facility taking care of their medical needs. Thank you!!!

The staff was so nice in the er tonight. My kiddo was so sick and they were so patient. They got her into a room right away with no wait time. They made sure she was comfortable before sending her home. Made me feel like I did right by bringing her in and that I wasn't just a nervous Nelly.

Dr. House is the BEST! Staff is very friendly. Very short wait time. Very clean and organized. The services they provide for community youth is outstanding!!

Was seen in the ER on August 5, 2023. Staff was friendly, professional and had the right diagnosis. It's a shame it's closing.

Got stitched up in no time (9 stitches)and after it healed there was no scar. Very professional dr and staff.

Seems the staff is fresh out of school with no experience. Seems if there is an actual issue that you have to be transferred to a larger hospital. Waste of time to go there.

The staff consistently act like you are bothering them by coming in. I will go to greenville.the other depts.are professional and pleasant.

Everyone is very friendly

My daughter came into the ER at Kelsey hospital in Lakeview this morning per her OB Dr. and Karen RN. Was the most rude and heartless human being. She was So rude and heartless that we are filling a formal complaint internally. This woman has worked at Kelsey hospital ER for years and needs to be terminated. She refused to leave when my daughter had to change into her gown, when getting supplies around for a UA she didn’t wear any gloves, opened the wipes up with no gloves, opened the bathroom door up again with no gloves and threw the wipes in the bathroom on the tray and told my daughter, wipe with them before you get the sample. Even after this, the results of my daughter’s ultrasound came back and Karen said excitedly , “Oh look, your results are back!” Karen then proceeded to read the results in front of us and looked at my daughter and said, “ The doctor will be in in a minute to go over your results.”
I am beyond sickened and I will Never tell anyone to go there. All the signs about patient respect and being kind and not tolerating abusive language ect, should also go for the staff that works there. If you’re that upset because you have to do your job and have no compassion for a young pregnant woman who comes in for an Ultra sound to find out if her baby is still alive then find a different profession. Is there no kindness in this world anyplace anymore, not even when a young woman has lost her baby. Karen RN, you are a disgrace to your tittle behind your name and you shouldn’t even be able to call yourself a registered nurse. You lack compassion and empathy and have shamed the title RN. You are suppose to stand for far more than just the abbreviation on your name tag!
