Best take out pizza, sandwiches, and salads in Monroe proper. The owners are wonderful people. Ingredients are fresh and properly portioned. I frequent them roughly once per week. I also had them "cater" a funeral home showing and everyone was extremely thankful for providing something of such substance (instead of a 5 foot sub from a chain...)
Call ahead. Since everything is made fresh, there is usually a wait of 30 to 60 minutes for your food (but, rest assured, your food will be ready and fresh when they tell you to come get it.

Sat right in the middle of down town Monroe, this little spot will let you taste some bread like never before. My work ordered the entire menu and these folks know how to bake. Whether that be a loaf of bread, or pizza. You’re sure to find something amazing here. 10/10 instead of 5/5

I love the cookies. The bread and sandwiches are top tier. Pizza great, but I'd say it's more for adults then children, pairs very well with wine. Best part of this place for me is the chocolate chip cookies are my favorite cookies of all time. It's hard to find this place the first time you visit, but it's worth it.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. The 13-8-9 is so good!! Try and go every time I pass through here. Excellent!

I ate here like a month ago and I’m still thinking about it. I rarely eat anywhere else but home, hence why it’s been so long. But when I do, it’s Erie Bread Co. I got the sandwich with the fried egg on it and a side Caesar salad. It was awesome just like everything else I’ve had there before. I tell everyone who asks me where they should eat in Monroe, and it’s EBC. Just showing some love while you’re on my mind. Can you tell I’m hungry? I wish you were open right now ! I’d get it on lunch often but I work out of town ): ….anyway. Go get some Erie Bread Co!

Best sandwiches in the Monroe area. Forget about the national chains, this is the real deal. Be prepared to wait a little or phone ahead of time. Worth the wait regardless.

I have only one food place that excites me when I return to Monroe. I recommend that you check out their specials which are posted daily on Facebook. Their sandwiches are imaginative and soups dependable. The breads are nice too.

They keep a pretty short line at the counter. I recommend avoiding a wait by ordering ahead. They only do carryout.

I have always loved the great quality of food from Erie Bread since they have opened. I went tonight and once again had a great sandwich. I read a couple of semi negative reviews and questioned the "Karens" posting them. If you don't call ahead during a busy time what do you expect? Do the employees deserve a few minutes break during a busy day? If you don't like it go to Subway and you will get a Subway quality Sammy. They (Erie Bread) have awesome food don't knock them.

This place makes homemade bread, desserts like cookies and brownies that you'll fight your mom for, soups, salads, etc. The ingredients are awesome, the food is delicious and satisfying and the people that work there are extremely nice and happy! WONDERFUL PLACE!!!!

Read this tip!!!! Order your food 45 mind ahead of time during lunch. No walk ins unless you want to wait. I didn't get to taste the food, but the smells were amazing!!!!!
The selection of bakery items were very disappointing though. I like pastries and they only had cookies and brownies.

Honestly one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I wish there was a location closer to Detroit, I’d go all the time. But still well worth the drive! 13-8 on 9 on the focaccia bread is what I got.

We have only visited their shop once. It is primarily take out so there aren't seats. The two sandwiches we had were remarkable.
We're going to try their pizza next time.
