Stopped in for coffee ☕ and breakfast. Got the croissant with ham, bacon, egg and cheese. Excellent sandwich.... very filling. Tried the raspberry truffle mocha for coffee ☕
Very friendly and helpful staff. Always enjoy going here. Great menu choices. Brought home blueberry danishes when leaving. So many pastry choices you won't be disappointed

Ashamed that it took me so long to visit this gem so close to my home!! I enjoyed a perfect matcha latte and took home a sweet treat (vanilla cupcake). I loved how much seating was available, the variety of options to choose from that are tempting for any time of day, and the warm atmosphere. As I was waiting for someone, it made me really happy to notice staff chatting with some kids who seemed like regulars and the overall friendly vibes of the space. Looking forward to returning!!

New owners but the same ambiance. They have a variety of pastries, cakes and breads to choose from. And a full-service coffee bar. Nice seating inside and outside. The outside seating in particular nice since it’s not right on the curb of a busy road and has some shady seating usually. My go to here is a dark roast coffee and one of their great scones. My buddy does a pastry. On my last visit I had a non-sweet treat, a focaccia roll with a little butter. Fewer calories and a nice treat.

Overall, my experience at Hall Street Bakery was nothing short of amazing. The food was exceptional. If you're looking for a place with great tasting food that will leave you wanting more, look no further than Hall Street Bakery. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Able to bike here from Alger heights which is great. Ordered beer and food and ate outside, excellent food and really nice atmosphere. Service was friendly and prompt, able to answer all of my questions. Will definitely be back and would recommend to others!

My daughter and I happened upon this establishment and were very pleased with our visit.
The gluten free options were many and making a decision was difficult. I was more than happy to have so many choices. Everything that we tried was excellent, gluten free or otherwise. (I'm GF by necessity, my daughter is not).
I will be trying the GF pizza on my next visit and maybe a scone.

Food is delicious, all made from scratch (I love the soup, sandwiches, and pizzas). Great beer and wine selection. All the staff does a great job for the customers. Also, this was my younger sister's first job. So I appreciate the opportunity to get her started in her career here. Thank you! Keep up the good work. It's awesome to have such a nice bakery in the community. We appreciate all of you.

They have the best breakfast, lunch and dinner! My favorite sandwich is the Bacon, Arugula & Gruyere, its so good I wake up thinking about it. Also super happy they are finally able to serve beer and wine again!

Stephanie at Hall Street Bakery in Grand Rapids was wonderful! She met with us to taste their cakes, frostings, and fillings so we could better decide on the cake flavors and the size we would need. She delivered our cake and placed the final details (flowers) on the cake at the venue. I would recommend Hall Street Bakery for your special event.

I’ve been a long time fan of Hall Street Bakery. Their food is typically great. But over the past few months they have significantly decreased their portion size and quality has been really hit or miss. The bread on the last chicken salad sandwich ($14) I ordered had big air pocket holes and barely held the sandwich together..

UPDATE: I’ve gone back a few times since my original review (its convenient) and the food was much better quality. Hot tip: through trial and error I’ve found you get a larger sandwich if you order on French bread vs sourdough

Great place to stop for a cappuccino! Love their chicken salad sandwich! Also appreciate that they feature local artists on their walls!

Extensive selection of baked treats, homemade breads, coffees, and a full lunch/dinner menu. We enjoyed the bacon arugula egg sandwich (without the bacon) which had onion jam, arugula, Dijon mustard and choice of bread. The croissant is an up charge though.

The have amazing homemade pastries, wood fired pizza, and a variety of hot and cold beverages. Neat, cozy upscale coffee house vibe.

I’ve been to the Hall Street Bakery probably somewhere from 50-70 times. I’ve only ever had two bad experiences.
The pizza, bread, pastries, and scones are all great. Highly recommend!

noah and shelby were very accommodating to my needs i asked for my ham and cheese croissant warmed up and noah happily complied. thank you hall street for being a staple in my family since i was 7.

Enjoyed a wedding rehearsal dinner here and it was awesome. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was excellent. The party was nicely decorated. Even bought some baked goods to take home.

Amazing gluten free options! Love the atmosphere! Only complaint is that it took a long time to get our food!

We came on a busy day. There was a big line and they were understaffed. After placing our order the two employees worked diligently to get us our food and coffees. All super great!

They offer discounts to Calvin students (you need a discount card from the Student Senate office). All the food was great!
