A great example of a grist mill powered by water. This structure took advantage of an unusually large water drop in Michigan to become the center of the town of Buchanan. Definitely worth the stop to understand a piece of history. Signs in the attic feature previous businesses on Main Street.

Very cool place to visit the past !! so glad it was not torn down in the 80s and 90s. Revisiting the past paves the roads to a better future!

Nice historical mill. Full lead tour telling all about the history. No cost. Quick and very informative.

A great place to visit if you are interested in working water wheel Mills ! Not many left in working condition , they can tell you all about how it works and even grind you some corn ! A great thing to see if your ever in Buchanan Mich ! If you check it out in the summer time you can go to the Farmers market in any Sat morning . Make a day of it and have fun ! 👍
