Sleepy Time Motel

We have stayed here at various times over the years and are sad to hear that reservations can no longer be made. Life does happen and I just wanted to reach out for my Family and I and thank you for giving us a nice “home away from home” whenever we traveled back to Maine to visit with Family and Friends 🙏🏻

I stayed at the Sleepy Time for 15 days. I have to say, I absolutely loved staying here and already plan on coming back here in 2 years or so for another vacation. Lynn and Mark are so nice, they really take good care of this place. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and peaceful at night, whether you want to hear the sounds of crickets, or my personal favorite, the sound of a freight train rumbling through the night sky. The Room was very clean, they made the beds every day, fresh sheets fresh towels, and the cans empty. I was so happy to stay here and sleep every night and wake up at the crack of dawn to go out and photograph. Lynn and Mark, you are the greatest, and I want to seriously do business with you again! Enjoyed staying here. Everything was super clean. Just the right amount of everything, wine glasses, cork screw, plates and so on. Very quiet. Beds are super comfy and lots of nice pillows. I love pillows.
Mark was super friendly and went out of his way to make me feel welcome. Great place to stay!!!

Absolutely loved this motel. Very, very clean. Owner took us to our room and was so friendly and helpful. Room is so comfortable, great mattress and pillows and loved that they have recliner chairs. TV was flat screen on wall and came in good. Quiet and in a nice little neighborhood so feels very safe. We will come back again and again. It felt like a home away from home. The owners have done an excellent job and should be proud of the comfortable place they provide to weary travelers. Thank you so much. You won't be sorry if you stay here....trust me..you'll love it.

Super clean (inside and outside)and very comfortable. Loved the extras that you rarely find elsewhere: nice recliner, real coffee cups and wine glasses, corkscrew, loads of pillows, nice dining table and chairs, great TV with all the channels you could ever want and awesome WiFi!
The hosts, Mark and Lynn, were very accommodating and laid back. We hope to visit again soon

Located this motel on trip advisor what a gem. Super clean rooms very cute and comfortable accomadations. Just a small family owned 6 room motel you will not be disappointed. They cater to one's needs the room is well kept with everything you would need. They also place free bottled water in the rooms fridge daily. Great rates also.

Very nice man at the desk! The room was adorable and had everything we needed. Very clean and we'll kept place! Even had two bottles of water in the fridge for us! Easy drop box for keys too. If we're in the area again, we will probably stay here. Highly recommend!!

I love this place! It's off the main road, so it's really peaceful and quiet! The rooms are large, and you can tell there was a lot of thought behind the floor plan and decorations. The owners clearly take a lot of pride in their establishment, even down to the quality of the bath towels. I will definitely stay here, if I'm in the area, again!

I am usually wary of rave reviews, so when I read all of the raves for Sleepy Time Motel I raised an eyebrow. But after so many raves, I decided that everyone can't be wrong. I booked a room for my family and my dog - yes, dog friendly - and then recommended the motel to other family members as well, who then also booked a room. The reviews didn't lie! Mark personally showed us to our room, explaining the heat, tv remote, etc. We felt right at home! This was the cleanest hotel/motel I've ever stayed in. Aside from the cleanliness, the room was well equipped with a fridge and microwave, and a small cabinet of kitchenware (paper places, glasses, etc) making it much easier to have small meals in the room. Mark & Lynn even left 2 small "puppy towels" to wipe the snow off of the dog's feet! One more little "extra" to make our stay even more comfortable. We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more and would recommend this for anyone travelling through the area.

We booked a week stay at this hotel, and were so glad we did! The room is clean, comfortable, and great quality. The owners have been nothing but amazing, and have just been a phone call away for anything we may need.

This is the cleanest, most charming little motel. The owners take much pride in every aspect of there estabishment from being escorted to our room (who does that anymore?!) and making sure we were pleased with it, the impressively clean rooms and added little extras such as plates, cutlery and such. I will definitely stay here when in this area again and I highly recommend this charming establishment.

Wonderful small car to door motel right off the Auburn exit. The rooms were cozy and spotlessly clean. The fridge was large and there were plenty supplies. The staff/owners were more than friendly and accomodating. The price was great as well.

Spend a few extra dollars and go here instead of the sketchy chain in town. The most spacious motel room I've seen, the owners take pride in making you comfortable. The grounds and rooms are very clean. A little roadside noise once the world wakes up, but nothing in the night in

Both Lynn and Mark are great folks and have a great little motel! We had a Christmas Party to attend and being from Massachusetts we did not want to drive after the party. We chose Sleepy Time to spend the evening and it was the right choice! Not the Ritz—Not a dump! Just a very clean, quite comfortable nice place run by a couple of real nice folks!!

My family spent a few days in this motel and the service was excellent. I definitely plan on staying here in the future. It is located in a quiet area and the room was both comfortable and very clean.

Sleepy Time Motel is in a class of its own. In my travels around the country, I have stayed at many ‘Mom and Pop’ motels as I prefer non-chains and despise the ‘hallway hotel-elevator’ experience, but never have I stayed at a small “Mom and Pop” motel of this quality. In fact, this is the first time I have ever written a motel recommendation. I am so impressed with this place and with the kindness of owners Mark and Lynn Klinger, that I would be remiss not to write this review. From the moment I drove onto the property and saw the rolling grounds and well maintained landscaping, I knew I was at a place a cut above. Mark and Lynn greeted me warmly; Lynn escorted me to my room. The minute I opened the door I noticed the immaculate condition of the room. Gradually, I noticed the amenities are far above the amenities of most motels and even “high class” resorts. Sleepy Time is more high class than many lodgings that lay claim to such a distinction.
The bed is very comfortable and the pillows a nice big size like the one I have at home. The walls have original, signed oil paintings, and the bathroom sink has brushed nickel faucets. The soaps and hair products are very good quality as is the coffee. As if all that was not enough, I was very pleased by the lighting. Most motels and hotels have distinctly inadequate lights for reading or much of anything else. At Sleepy Time, the desk has a handsome brass lamp, a double lamp is above the beds, and another lamp is placed next to the recliner. Additionally, the dining nook has good lighting as does the bathroom. Since I like to read, I very deeply appreciate ample light. (I also think highly of good lighting when I apply makeup!)
The owners’ pride in doing things well is very obvious here – when I close the door, I do not hear noise from traffic heading up Danville Corner Road. Also, I do not hear the sound of guests in neighboring rooms. This is a solid, well done room.
And even more importantly, I loved the woods trails down the hill behind the motel. Blueberries, bluets, bunchberries, star flower; alder, aspen, beech, oak, maple; hemlock, white pine, spruce; cinnamon fern, interrupted fern, lady fern, sensitive fern – all of my old friends are back there in those woods. After sad, trying days visiting my mother at an excellent nearby nursing home, Clover Manor, those woods were the balm my soul needed.
I thank Mark and Lynn from the bottom of my heart for extending the gift of peace and comfort to me and I thank them for being people of integrity.

The room was nicely setup for comfort, space, writing desk plus a table with chairs to have a meal. Lovely hiking trail outside and toasty warm inside. Extra fluffy bath towels also.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights while visiting from Canada, the entire experience was amazing, great service and very clean, nice area and the owners Mark and Lynn are awesome people.we are planning another trip next year and are definitely hoping to stay there again. Totally recommend

Highly recommend if your looking for a place outside of Old Orchard Beach. Very clean and well decorated. Would return for sure!
