The SnowShoe Inn

The owner Bill is a great host. He brought us down some fresh salmon he caught the day before. Prepped and ready to grill. It was amazing. The Snowshoe Inn sets on a small lake and is very peaceful.

Snowshoe Inn on 16 Mile Lake is absolutely the perfect place to relax, unwind and unplug from the busyness of life. Our family spent a week here over the summer and had the best time - kayaking, SUP boarding, going for pontoon rides around the lake, building bonfires, taking saunas and making memories. The lake that Snowshoe Inn is on holds a special place in my heart as I spent my childhood summers here. Bill and Amy have done an amazing job preserving the “camp” feel - cozy, warm, and inviting. They are longtime residents and very knowledgeable about the area. Anytime we had a question - they were on top of it - and had everything set up for us when we arrived so we could just relax and enjoy our stay. Amazing hospitality. Bill and Amy also own Upper Peninsula Inspired Winery in town, which has a tasting area and a great assortment of regional wines. Thank you, Bill and Amy! We’ll never forget the memories we made here - and our kids can’t wait to return!

Traveled here with my wife, kids, and pet dog. Everyone had a blast! There are trails right next to the property, and a lake not far. Has everything you need in the cabins which are clean and well cared for. The property owner and workers are all very kind. Had a blast last Aug. and am in the process of booking another trip up there before the Summer ends. I highly recommend!

Bill and Amy are fantastic hosts! This place has 3 bedrooms (3 full-size/3 queen-size beds), a full bath with 2 sinks and a separate water closet, a full kitchen, and a living room with three sofas, a fireplace, a couch, and a TV with satellite. The amenities are endless! They have a fire pit, pontoon boat, kayaks, and (I think) even paddle boards. There’s also a resident pup named Solo and a neighbor dog named Ringo. They are a hoot! I didn’t have a lot of face-to-face interactions with the hosts, but they were extremely responsive on Facebook messenger and helped me with anything I needed. The regular rates are a little steep per night, but Bill/Amy couldn’t be more accommodating. There is little to no cell service, but the Snowshoe Inn has decent wifi. They also own the wine shop in downtown Munising, which we visited and got a few little souvenirs. I couldn’t pay online and needed to pay by credit card so they allowed me to pay at their shop. Snowshoe Inn was a great place overall!

Came here during the summer with my family and had a great time. The inn is beautiful, clean, quiet and has everything you need as far as facilities and furniture(very comfortable). Pleasant view of lake as well as easy water access.
