I have been going to Dr. lahood for about 12 years now. Hands down the best Dr. I’ve had. He listens when I tell him my problems and is incredibly smart. He is thorough, explains in great detail, and breaks my care down so that I understand it all. His office is quick to get me any referrals, and I’ve never had to wait very long in his office. Sometimes appointment times can be booked up, but nothing too bad and it’s to be expected when you go to such a great Dr.

First visit with Dr. LaHood. Very easy to talk to. You really get that feeling he cares about your health and not just another face coming through his office.

Dr Lahood is a wonderful family doctor. We have been with him for over 22 years. He is caring and responsive. Staff issues have taken place since combining with Unity Point but he is a great doctor.

Dr. Lahood is a dedicated physician who is very helpful. Do not believe the detractors on here. He might not tell you what you want to hear, but he will tell you what you need to know.

A GREAT MEDICAL TEAM..

This man is quite literally the most unprofessional disrespectful doctor I have ever had the misfortune of meeting the way he spoke to me as a patient was vile I went in for joint pain and was told it was all mental and then was berated with questions about my relationship with my father he even went as far as saying “did daddy break your heart” all while my mother was sitting in the room we promptly ended the appointment and walked out he is extremely disrespectful with women and young girls and is very dismissive about medical issues ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO HERE

My sister has COVID and she is not one to run to the emergency room, but she's feeling horrible. So she called and they were supposed to call in a prescription for her. I called the pharmacy and it was not yet called in so I called them to to see if I could get them to call it in before the pharmacy closed and the physician's assistant that I talked to was pretty snotty and implied that my sister was refusing to go to the emergency room even though she had never been told to go to the emergency room. He did imply that she was going against medical advice. Which is not true..furthermore, they had no right to even discuss this with me. According to hippa they were in violation. She had some bad labs a few weeks ago and it took them three weeks to get her in and she lost over thirty pounds. I have nothing good to say about this office nor the people that answer the phones, nor the ridiculous physicians assistant that I talked to and I wish I had gotten his name. If I could give them a negative rating I would.

I had a rare form of blood cancer that causes my platelets to be abnormally high for 3-4 years on his watch and he never said a word about it to me in all the times I had blood work done! Another thing he did was write restrictions for a shoulder injury but then refused to fill out the Dr. portion of the disability forms which is a very basic responsibility of the Dr. writing the restrictions. This guy shouldn't be practicing medicine! So beware if you decide to let this clown be involved in your health! The first time I had blood work done at my new primary care physician; he noticed the high platelet count and instantly sent me to the cancer center for blood work! I was diagnosed with the blood cancer.

If I could review lower than a 1, I would. His staff treats people like dirt. It takes months to get an appointment, days to receive responses to anything. Dr. Lahood is a nice guy, but I'm moving on to someone that will listen.

I am completely overhauling my review!! The last time I went to see Dr. LaHood, I brought up a concern about joint pain that wouldn’t go away. He was incredibly dismissive. He told me to take an Aleve and exercise more (which I was already doing). I went to a different dr and I was diagnosed with ARTHRITIS.

He was a decently good doctor prior to affiliating with Unity Point. Now he is driven by their algoritms, rules. Billing/coding practices are a bit unethical, again new change since affiliating with UPH

He's a horrible Dr, I would not recommend him to anyone that cares about living because he clearly does not

Dr. LaHood is a guy's guy. He is condescending to women
