I always wanted a nice local coffee shop where I could be become a regular. Everything about this place is great. The food/drinks. The atmosphere. And definitely the staff! Always friendly and kind.

Always exceptional staff and great coffee/tea options as well as good savory and sweet food options. Comfortable "community" atmosphere and meeting place. My "service dog" always is welcomed inside or out!

I went to a boba tea shop yesterday. I ordered my drink via an iPad terminal, typing my name in myself (it is spelled unconventionally). When I received my drink, my name was somehow misspelled on it. That’s crazy, right? Well those kinds of shenanigans don’t happen here. Brothers K is a reputable establishment with good service, good coffee, and GREAT spinach and feta hand pies.

I took my classic order of oat milk latte with vanilla syrup and honestly it's the best one I had in Evanston area.

Super cute coffee shop! Came here for a some coffee on a Sunday morning. Coffee and tea was ready quickly and the pastries were tasty.

Awesome spot across the street from a Starbucks and it’s way better, nicer and more comfortable. Beautiful latte. Super friendly staff.

I loved my experience here. I was pleasantly surprised to see Stumptown beans (a Portland, Oregon roaster). My latte was perfect. My kids were chill. I’ll be back!

The most neighborly place in the area. As a recent grad, I realized how many special memories this place holds for me. It’s a great place for reading, meeting up with friends or simply enjoying some personal time. I hope one day my kids will get to experience the comfort and cosiness of this place and PEOPLE.

Came here because it's right under my apartment. Very good and inexpensive coffee and other drinks. Great prices for food. The egg and cheese hand pie was very tasty and filling, good quick breakfast. Great outdoor seating and cool collection of books and boardgames to borrow while you eat.

I chose to give a five star review for nostalgia’s sake and because this place has all the potential in the world! That said, this place is really a mess. Once known for epically kind staff, the staff is now comprised of mostly uninterested workers, who can’t even bother with a “thank you” and “hello” when you’re ordering. Once a prime community hang out, it is now dead most afternoons. I can’t help but think that some of the wonky vibes are due to the general decline of the atmosphere in the place. Long ago, this cafe replaced an equally cozy, but filthy and unkept cafe. Years later, Brothers K feels just like the old one did. Go to sit down and find dirty, rocky beat up tables and chairs, broken outlets, strange smells, a high pitched ringing nose from one of the fixtures, and really gross bathrooms with dirt visible everywhere. It’s really sad to see this place go downhill like this. Cafes don’t have to be pretentious to feel clean and functional. Evanston has several bright and nice cafes like Cupitol and Collectivo. With much better competition just down the street, I hope the owners can give this place a little bit of TLC to prevent it’s nearly inevitable closing.

I'm so glad I came here! I've run by it a ton, but this is the first time I popped in. It's spacious inside, which is nice. I got a spinach and feta hand pie and a coffee. Both were great! The barista was super friendly to me.

One of the best, if not, the best coffee houses in Evanston. This place has character, friendly and skilled staff and above all on point, delicious coffee at a reasonable price. Great place to hangout, play some board games and drink coffee. Highly recommended.

A wonderful coffee shop. I went here with my mother. Staff was nice and helpful, coffee is amazing it has an earthy and slightly bitter taste. It’s one of the best cups of coffee I’ve had. Definitely worth a visit. And their potato pancakes are so good.

Brothers K is the neighborhood joint!! If you live here, you visit Brothers K, no question. Lol, but truly, the staff is wonderful, the prices are good, the space is cool and inviting, and everything is delicious and somewhat nutritious depending on what you're having. I try to make it there once a week during my morning walks and I love it every time. Thanks Brothers K, don't go changin! ...or do if you want, I'll still stop in! :)

My favorite local and unpretentious coffee shop! Staff is super nice and they do NOT nudge customers to tip with a giant screen like other shops do, which i see as invasion of privacy (i am totally for tipping the staff here though). Coffee is good. Price is reasonable. I just wish they were open a bit late into the night.

Great! I love this place. I live almost right above it, and my wife and I go all the time. Solid pastry items, great vibe, and great espresso drinks.

All in all, we are happy with it. We are thinking of upsizing and we are sad that we might no longer have it just downstairs for our groggy mornings.

Fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious coffee and snacks. The bulletin board is a great resource if you're looking for local events. I love it here- so cozy and a great spot to set up my laptop and work!

Update...
BUT ...what happened to the baked goods? When you have donuts or muffins they sell out quickly and people keep in coming in for coffee and look for a snack to enjoy. The banana bread and pumpkin bread are long gone, as are Lucky Platter's flakey pastries. The only consistent snacks are packaged cookies, and mediterranean pies. You have a loyal clientele. Can you connect with a baker in Evanston or wherever and make it yummy for your coffee connoisseurs? This place was vibrant after the Bros took over. Now it feels like a shell. Please do better. It's sad if I have to cross Bros K off my list.

Favorite coffee place ever! I don't know what it is admit the traditional size mocha, but it had the perfect tattoo of chocolate, espresso and milk. Never had a better mocha anywhere else. Love this place.
