Quick and good service every time I come in for a coffee. Today I ordered the Elgin sandwich. It is very tasty. Will be doing more business👍

Yummy place. The coffee's are so good, I just wish you opened earlier. Lavender Coffee is the best.
The sandwiches and the salads are good.
The tortilla soup is amazing. Soups are just amazing here. Definitely try the Gobbler during Thanksgiving. They make really good grilled cheeses and you pick what cheeses you wanna mix up. Except make sure they remember the bacon. I think twice they forgot it. BUT it was still good.

I am not a fan of Dr.Who btw, I think that's what this is based off? I just love the place, very hip and cool. Good food and nice staff.

In the area and stopped in for a coffee and glad we did. Great coffee and great atmosphere with the Doctor Who themed interior. Very personable and friendly staff. (I think it was the owner) We'll be back when we're in that neck of the woods again.

Stopped by for the Dr Who ambiance and loved the food. Had the Daleks Delight! Awesome sandwich, just the right mix of spice and horseradish. Cannot wait to come back.

Great food, great service and great atmosphere. The coffee was excellent, our sandwiches were delicious, and the young women behind the counter were friendly, helpful, and all around good at their jobs. The vegan sandwich our son ordered is pictured. He absolutely loved it. We'll definitely dine here again!

My siblings and I came to Elgin to see if we recognized anything from our childhood lol. There wasn’t too much that looked familiar. But we were happy to find the Blue Box Cafe for lunch. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced.

Their cold brew is the most perfect coffee I've had in years 💜 Their love for their community shows through in everything they sell. You don't have to be a Dr. Who fan in order to enjoy their menu. Do yourself a favor, and just go!!

Bottom-line: Cheeky and sweet themed coffee shop with an enormous selection of delicious drinks and savory food. Worth a stop in for anyone, but will be a special treat for Doctor Who fans.

First time in this charming café. Stopped in for breakfast and drinks, and ended up getting lunch options because that part of the menu was seen first and everything looked absolutely fantastic.

For drinks, we got a few of their coffee specialties and was offered a new drink they are working on. The new drink was a coffee with Strawberry, Vanilla, and White Chocolate, and the specialties we ordered were the 'Jack Harkness' and the 'River Song'. These drinks are named after Doctor Who characters, for those unfamiliar. The 'Jack Harkness' is a seductive blend of coffee, Dark Chocolate, and Cherries that is sure to envelop you in a strange love. The 'River Song' is the most unique coffee blend I have ever tried, and gives you a spicy warmth from our its surprisingly great blend of Ginger and Curry. Yes, I know what many of you are thinking, but this is a fantastic drink for cold days.

For food, we got a chicken bacon pesto wrap, a chicken caprese sandwich, and a rueben. The wrap was crisp and delicious, the chicken caprese had fresh mozzarella and giant slices of roma tomatoes with a delectable balsamic glaze, and the rueben swaps out the traditional sauerkraut for a sweet coleslaw in a twist that combines the standards of a California Rueben with the Traditional Cornbeef Rueben. All of it was great.

The staff was friendly, open, and knowledgeable about the menu. Great experience.

Cute themed cafe. The food was good and they make great lattes. Loves the turtle flavored latte and the cute named lattes to fit the Dr. Who themed.

The service was excellent and the folks working were chatty and super friendly.

Snazzy coffee shop. When I went there in the afternoon it was pretty empty thankfully but all they had for their bakery options was chocolate chip cookies. Espresso is nice and so is the cookie for under $6. Staff was polite

It is so epic to have a Doctor Who themed coffee shop locally! Blue Box Cafe is super welcoming and the staff is brilliantly fun. The espresso is very delicious. I got the jammy dogger latte and it remains my favorite to this day.

This place is great, delicious coffee, freshly made sandwiches. Even though indoor dining is restricted it’s in a very nice spot to walk around and drink coffee. Highly recommended!

Food: Reuben was divine, crispy and the cheese was Ooey-gooey

Inside: Tables wiped down and clean with ample outlets to plug in a wall charger

Bathroom: not inside of the cafe but connected to the indoor plaza area. 10 second walk. Passcode provided by staff, very clean.

This place is so cool and unexpected in Elgin! They have dr.who epeisodes playing all the time in background, and the coffee is of course amazing. My new favorite cafe ever.

Cozy cafe with a chill vibe. The staff are friendly and the food and drinks are good. A nice place to hang out with some friends.

Super chill place in downtown Elgin for tasty sandwiches and salads, plus coffee, too. They have the option to build your own sandwich, and I really like that they use Boar's Head deli meats. Oh, and they have a subtle Dr. Who theme going on, which might be a plus if you're into that!

Reasonably priced, I was blown away by the quality and sheer delishness (dalek delight) of the food. The servers were absolutly amazing, super knowledgable, kind and friendly atmosphere. AND ITS DOCTOR WHO THEMED PEOPLE. DOCTOR. WHO. THEMED. OMG!!!! ❤❤ truely fantastic even if your not a true whovian, you will love the service and quality of this adorable cafe. Thank you all for what yoy do!

The Reuben was good, could have used more corned beef The pic is dockered up. The salad was fresh and tasty. The spot was clean and trendy. Groupon helped to choose this with a handsome deal.
