Walgreens Pharmacy

The Pharmacist at the Jasper location went above and beyond to get my Rx transfered from my mail order pharmacy. The way customer service should be.

I have always like Walgreens

With only 1 window open the drive-thru is slower than it should be. Going inside is better. The employees are helpful and know where things are you are looking for. However there should be more employees available in the store. Prices are a good bit higher and should be on the line of other retail stores. Quantity speaks volumes. But overall a good shopping expedition.

Most times it's half and half in service. Some are nice and great service but some are just rud.the front service has always been great.The pharmacy is different.

The store is always super clean, sound pricing on most items. I can find things here that arnt available at other retailers. Staff in the store/front cashiers and stockers are always helpful. The pharmacy is like..dealing with root canal. In one word, Onerous

This is the slowest pharmacy I have ever been to. I am currently sitting in the drive thru trying to pick up my prescription. It has been about 30 minutes and only 2 cars have made it through the line. I'm now 4th in line and there are at least 3 cars behind me. Sadly, this happens often. Management needs to address this.

UPDATE: When I got to the window they had only filled one of my medications. One was still out of stock 2 days after it was called in. It's now 4 days out and the website shows I have no prescriptions pending. I'm seriously thinking about taking my business elsewhere.

We found it necessary to change pharmacy away from Walgreens as they make so many mistakes and are beset with computer problems constantly...they can sell prescriptions called in but can't take any refills or new prescriptions, or their computer wouldn't process the doctor's names! So no meds could be dispensed at all and you couldn't get your meds transferred for some reason that they couldn't explain. Then! The only day it snowed, we had to go there for a med I had to have and when we got home, I had only been given half of it! I called immediately and was told that I couldn't take the med as the pharmacy had to verify what was given???

Very slow service. Seem to have only one person waiting on everyone. Can't seem to get things right, had to wait in a long line twice to get a prescription.

Called on the phone with a question about a walker. Stayed on hold for 13 minutes, talk to three different people.

Slowest drive thru line I have ever experienced. Moved my prescriptions to another pharmacy because I spent 45 minutes in line with only 4 cars in front of me and it is like that every time I go. Techs are very unfriendly and rude at the window.

I was transferred from Hospital discount drugs to them today . Did not know till I got there . Apparently, my pharmacy could not text us so we all get to the door and we did not have a option at that point to do anything else . I will be changing soon as I get mine for this month. Pitiful service . Pays no attention to what anyone says . I was there 2 hr. Trying to get all my meds . I'm patient but, nooooo!

I don't normally write reviews, but I feel it is warranted here. I am not sure what's going on with this pharmacy, but we are switching to Winn Dixie. I could get in touch with the IRS faster than this Walgreens. Unfortunately I have to sit on hold with them to refill my daughter's RX because it is a controlled medication, so I don't have the option to refill by prompts. I have been on hold for 23 minutes and am still holding, just to speak to someone to refill a medication. I have waited on hold for 25 minutes before when I called asking a question about a syringe that was included in one of my prescriptions. I do not recommend you use this pharmacy if you will ever need to call them for anything.

I had a prescription in hand to be filled. My daughter had an outpatient surgery and needed a pain medication within an hour to stay ahead of the pain. We were an hour from home. Stopped in Walgreens and told them of my situation. They said it would be a 2 and a half hour wait. Needless to say, I made it home in an hour and took my prescription to be filled quicker thank Walgreens and jasper could have done it. With an hour to spare actually.

If it was possible to give negative stars I would. The front of the store is great it's the pharmacy that's the problem. They really just need to shut the the pharmacy down. The sad part it is is not all walgreens pharmacies just the jasper al location. 80% of the pharmacy staff are extremely rude to customers and they constantly get prescriptions messed up and do not fill them when they are supposed to be filled. I actually had one of the pharmacy technicians I think her name is Becky, tell me that coming through the drive through was not good enough. I had to call up to the pharmacy to get my prescription refilled. So it was my fault my prescription wasn't filled in time due me telling them in person instead of via phone call. Just to put into perspective the reputation this walgreens pharmacy location has earned for themselves, I have had doctors (more than one) advise me to swap to any pharmacy but Walgreens because they are so notorious for being rude and neglectful to their customers. I guess the pharmacy technicians forget that if it they have no customers they have no job.

The worse place EVER! I have worked in Pharmacy 20 years and this is not how it is suppose to be ran. The techs are so rude except 1 or 2 of them. They fill the wrong scripts, and on one of my meds waited until I came back to pick it up to tell me that my PA is expired. I am so over it! Transferring my scripts now..

Took over 2 hours to get an RX filled. It was called in evidently went to voicemail. Asked the clerk she said it wasn’t called in I could leave and she would text me when it was ready. I told her I was I’ll and would wait I checked back in 30 minutes she said it hasn’t been called in I called drs. office she told me she called and left it on voicemail. Went back talked to clerk she said it wasn’t called in I told her it was on voicemail, she said she would check after 45 min I again went to the clerk she said she checked and it wasn’t there. I called drs office again spoke to staff while on phone with nurse. The pharmacist said she would look after 2 hrs she said it was on voicemail. I didn’t have insurance and looked up good rx for coupons she said two of them went through and brought the prices down a lot I was asking her about the whole situation she seemed aggravated and then said you know these coupons don’t work for that . I hate to even think that she spitefully took the coupons off I will never return and will send this to the managersShameful customer service.KJ

Closed the window on me at 6:57 after sitting in the drive thru line for 50 min (maybe 8 cars in front of me when I arrived). Went inside and tried to talk with the staff and was immediately told that they closed at 7:00 pm and could transfer to a 24 hr pharmacy. I will never be back, slow and very unprofessional.

This was absolutely the worst experience in my entire life at Walgreen 30 minute wait to be told they had the scripts but were not filled the received the alert they were ready another 35 minutes waiting to only get 3 of the 4 assured me that there was only 3 another call to dr this am to be told it was at w Walgreens and had to return this am only to be told they had it but had not filled it so another 35 minutes waiting total nightmare and I could tell I wasn't they only one feeling like this and even see a customer dealing with a bar similar situation. I wouldn't use this place again for anything I'm a mother of 5 an a nana to 12 small kids and we will never use this pharmacy again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been using them for years always slow service and very rude! Will never ever use them again. Switching over to a more reliable pharmacy today. Walgreens never has what your scrips ask for they are always out!

There needs to be no stars I literally am on phone with Gardendale location. They can fill my RX for 5 dollars. The jasper location say 300 . I even gave them the right insurance code that wallgreens in gardendale said . Have they got 3rd graders running it. I have to drive all they way to Gardendale for this rx. Ridiculous
