Inkwells Tavern

I am completely impressed with Inkwells! We have lived here for years and finally decided to check it out from all the reviews and fb posts. So glad we did!

We stopped in for the brunch special, the food was creative, delicious, and plated well. I had the banana nut French toast, and my hubby had the almond French toast. Delicious! The table next to us had bloody marys that looked divine. So that will be something I get next visit!

We run an airbnb, so this will definitely be a place I refer our guests to.

So they are moving across the street to a new location, (soon I guess) so food was limited. Bar tender was great and made some fantastic drinks from scratch. Small little place, but food was good and people at the bar were friendly.

Amazing place to visit and get some really great food. I highly suggest the sausage gravy and biscuits!!!! And while your at it get a tattoo

Fantastic little eatery. Clean, quant and friendly with great service. We went for breakfast/brunch. The Bloody Marys are excellent and the food was delicious. Thank you for a wonderful morning.

I had a really great experience at Inkwells Tavern tonight with a group of friends. I work downtown and have an office about one block away, but never stopped by for food or a drink. I now found that to be a mistake. I have an eye for cleanliness, and everything in there was very clean. I went to the restroom, and upon leaving saw how well the commercial kitchen was taken care of. Wow. The food was outstanding per some comments from friends. The atmosphere was laid back and the drinks were great. I will definitely be back to play some pool, enjoy the many tasty food options, and enjoy the drinks.

Love that they have devil's due liquors, supporting local. My cocktails were made perfectly each time, was greeted promptly upon walking and was attended to attentively, but not overbearing. Had a great atmosphere the the live music wasn't overbearing, you were still able to have a conversation without telling. Can't recommend this place enough for a pleasant time, attentive bartenders and great drinks.

It has an amazing atmosphere. Laid back. Good drinks. Good people!

Stopped in after a show to grab a bite to eat. Our party consisted of two vegan and one gluten free individuals. They accommodated our dietary needs and the owner even stepped out to buy fresh lettuce as they got swamped earlier. We came in pretty late for a Sunday and the food was outstanding! The vegan sandwich was so good that I purchased one to take home with me to eat for lunch the next day and I have never done that before. They set us up with samples of other vegan dishes they had and it was all amazing! Who would’ve thought that this bar pub style restaurant would serve us better vegan meals than the higher end places we’ve been! My family is beyond happy with the service and generosity that was shown to us. Without a doubt you must stop in and grab a bite if you find yourself in this town. Much respect and appreciation from the Masser family!

What an awesome local place! I was there three times in the last week or so (don’t judge)- once for after-work drinks with colleagues, once with a group of women for a night out, and once for a business lunch. The salads are sooo wonderful (and huge!), the charcuterie tray is awesome, and service is attentive and kind. Highly recommend.

The decor is interesting and the staff were very friendly. The menu isn't huge but everything sounded good.

We ordered a Berry Salad to share between the 3 of us, the quesadilla, avocado toast and a Turkey Jamwich.

All were excellent. The salad was perfect to share with very fresh greens and fruit. The Turkey Jamwich has an avocado spread and a bacon jam - so good.

Highly recommend.

We had breakfast there this morning with mimosas and it was amazing! The butter pecan pancakes are to die for. I even went back in the kitchen and tipped the cook. The service was great and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place. So good!

This tavern is the Charles Town version of Cheers. It's not very big but it's very cozy. Lots of specialty drinks and craft beers. The menu is limited but what they have is really good. Normally they have live music on the weekend on their unique window stage. No TVs so you'll have to actually make conversation ( how refreshing). The owners go out of their way to make you feel comfortable here. If you look closely you should be able to spot a number of former military personnel ( particularly Marines) roaming around as this tavern is very " service friendly". Overall, just a great place to go relax and have a good time. I highly recommend it!

A well needed welcoming adult style corner bar like tavern in Charles Town. A good selection of brews and nicely stock bar. The menu is small cold served food but very tasty! The chicken salad and broccoli salad, ROCKS! I will be back for the Italian sandwich next. The owners are down to earth friendly people.

Had heard nothing but good things about the owner and staff from fellow musicians. Played there on St. Patrick's day. Had such a good time everything I'd heard was so true....also,the place was packed and the staff took care of business! Whether I play there again or not the wife and I will be back.

I love this bar! The atmosphere is great and the owners are personable. The specialty drinks are great and they have higher end liquors that aren’t easy to come by. I would definitely recommend this bar to anybody in the area.

Fun place, great food and drinks. Nice local tavern, but also great for tourists. Live music is really good and the araoke is freaking bad like it should be!

Food was delicious as always and the crew was very festive as we waited for the parade. We had a good time, and the meal and drinks were a great value. I love this place.

Great bar. Awesome aesthetic, friendly owner. Drinks were very reasonably priced, and the menu looked like a great compliment to the drink selection. Definitely will come visit again.

This bar is very homey and sweet. The employees and owners are great enough to bring you back, but the drinks are amazing too. Try the mango habanero lemonade for a refreshing drink with a kick. 10/10 will be back!
