We need more stars to give the ratings justice. I have never tasted or seen meat cooked so perfect. I'm making sure I stop to sleep at the Loves next door when passing so I can eat there every time. If u are reading the reviews to determine whether you go or not, you MUST GO. You won't regret it. Oh and Madison the young lady that helped me with my order was so so nice and WELL MANNERED!! She deserves a raise!

This BBQ is great! It is cut for you as you watch. Don't forget to get you some of the banana pudding. This tastes like the homemade deal. There are two live screen TV's to watch. The staff are very nice. This is not my first visit here either.

Amazing BBQ!!!! One of the best places like this around. Everything is FANTASTIC here!! Ribs and turkey, corn and slaw, double barrel baked potato. Yeap!! Doesn’t get this good very often so if you haven’t been here you need to stop by. You won’t regret it. Thanks!!

Excellent BBQ in a down home style restaurant with a gravel parking lot next to a truck stop. The various Q dishes are all good, but the surprise standout for me is the Chicken. I'm thinking they brine it before smoking, because the tender meat inside the slightly crispy skin has a seasoned smokey flavor all its own. Add 2 delicious traditional sides or a loaded baked potato, then have the best banana pudding anywhere for dessert and some really good sweet tea to drink, and you have a meal fit for a King Rancher. 😉

When in Texas, this is a must! Im a BBQ snob, and this place is legit. Truck Parking on site and right next to Loves. I recommend the 3 meat platter with ribs. That can make 2 dinners, and you can thank me later : ) don't forget the bottled sauce to go.

Absolutely amazing!!! We've been traveling the states for 2.5 weeks from Canada, and this is the first time I have had a meal worth every cent. We had the ribs, creamed corn, mash potatoes with gravy, sausage, pulled pork and banana pudding for dessert. Sooo good!! the guys in the kitchen were all so nice and smiling and were very welcoming.

Had the 3 meat plate. Ribs, chicken, and sausage. Comes with 2 sides I chose mac and cheese and spicy potatoes. $19.99 good portions, food was great.

Soulman’s barbecue has some of the best food around. We have ordered the family dinner to go twice along with a gallon of sweet tea. You can pick two meats, four sides, and bread with the largest family dinner. There is a smaller family dinner and individual plates. We usually have left overs and will eat on them for a couple of extra days. You can also order it for dine in as well. We always get the brisket and sausage. The sausage is great. spiced hot potatoes and pinto beans are good, along with baked mac and cheese, cole slaw etc are on the side choice menu. I love the ice cream machine and you can nibble on a cone while waiting on your food. To the side of the ice cream, condiments of pickled peppers, onion, etc is available. 2 kinds of sauce for your meat. Unless you like things really hot, i would hang with the mild. Parking straight outside, must enter through a double door entry. Road entering area could be a little rough due to the many trucks parked next to the restaurant. Located off of I-20 and is an easy on and off.

When we first walked in it was busy but we were surprised we got to order quickly! We noticed it was very clean from ordering to sitting down to eat. The Sweet Tea is amazing! The meats! The sides! The desserts! Everything was so hot and fresh and delicious!

Highly recommended! Never had barbecue that tasted so good. The staff was awesome there was a gentleman there that has worked for over 25 years with this franchise and was telling his awesome story and connections with the owner. The macaroni and cheese was off the chain highly recommended in the pictures here I ordered the three meat special you get two sides I got the baked potato which was completely loaded and not expected for the amount of food given I didn't honestly think I was going to finish the plate definitely reasonable and pricing. The three meats special came with on my platter ribs, sausage, and I don't even know if I just slammed everything I ate.

I don't know what else to say other than to say it's good food, the people are so nice and while the prices are a little high (and I do mean only a little bit, the soul bowl went up from 9.95 to 13.95 recently) you do get plenty. I always get their soul bowl and it feeds me twice, easily. If you can eat an entire soul bowl in one sitting, you were one hungry son of a gun. If you want to avoid the line around lunch time, call in your order. Then just walk in, go straight to the register to pay and walk out with your food!

We drove from North Carolina and as soon as we crossed the Texas state line, I was craving some BBQ! Soulman's did not disappoint! My wife ordered the half chicken plate and meat was so juicy and full of flavor! I ordered the 3-meat plate with brisket, sausage and pulled pork. The sauce is on the side. My favorite was their ranch style beans! For dessert I went with a slice of pecan pie. Thanks Tyler for the great experience! I left him a USMC Lieutenant Colonel challenge coin to show my appreciation and I rang the bell! Semper Fidelis!

This is the BEST chicken I’ve had. It tastes so good no BBQ sauce is required! The okra is actually fried crunchy! The baked Mac and cheese has a smoky flavor too. I am very happy we ended up on this exit for the night!

Yes! So glad we stopped here while driving through. Absolutely delicious. My ribs were perfect and didn’t have any fat on them. All of the meat was top quality. My whole family is now recovering from the food coma we just ate our way into.

Stopped in Texas, and tried the Van location. I had ribs and brisket, and the hubby had the out of sight special. All the food was cooked perfectly and we would definitely come back.

GREAT BBQ ! We make sure to stop whenever we get in the area ! Very accessible for truck drivers as it's directly next to a Loves. Not overly expensive. Great food, nothing is dried out and every piece of meat we had was moist and tender ! Definitely worth the stop !
-Not sure why I see bad reviews. I can throw down on some food, and every time I eat here I can't eat it all as they give pretty big portions. Also the flavor was great as well so not sure why they would say there was not a bold taste as that is definitely not the case....

If you love bbq this is for you, the ribs are on the small side ( not Texas big) but pack big flavor. The cabbage was tasty with bits of jalapeños and their version of Pico de Gallo. Pull pork is so tender as well as the brisket. Clean place and they welcome truckers they have semi parking also
