I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tokyo Cafe and it was an unforgettable experience. I chose to sit at the bar, where I was fortunate to have Chris, the expert roller, as my chef for the evening. Chris's skill and creativity were on full display as he prepared multiple rolls, poke bowls, and more right before my eyes.

Each dish was not only visually stunning but also incredibly delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the ingredients were exceptionally fresh. Chris's friendly demeanor and passion for his craft made the experience even more enjoyable. A big shout out to Kevin who made sure to check in and ensure the experience was top-notch!

I highly suggest visiting Tokyo Cafe and sitting at the bar to witness Chris's & Kevin’s culinary artistry firsthand. It's a must-visit for any sushi lover!

We love Toyko Cafe. We've gone several times now and have enjoyed it every time.

I really like the sushi. They have a good variety and it has always come out fresh for me. It's often the fastest thing that comes out. I have also ordered the ramen. While it's not my go-to ramen place, I enjoyed it and would likely order again.

My boyfriend likes their sesame chicken, which is a panko crusted chicken on rice. He likes simpler items so it works well for him. The breading on the chicken is really nice.

Another standout to us is their drinks. They don't have a crazy variety, but we really like what they make. We see people order the Tok Fries a lot, but haven't ordered them yet. That will be next.

We also think the space is really cool with cool character. Parking is a little jammed, but there are options on the street. Also, be sure to make a reservation a few days in advance! You can walk in, but there will likely be a wait.

This is my go to Ramen spot but they have more to offer than just their ramen!
Food has always came out very hot and flavorful! Have not had one bad experience here.
Fairly quick seating but around lunch time you can expect a little bit of a wait time.

Friendly staff, my friend ordered the chicken ramen I got the yakisoba with sesame chicken and sampled the Sapporo beer. I think the yakisoba could've been more flavorful but it was worth the experience I'd come back. The have happy hour M-F 11-3

It was our first time visiting this establishment. Coming in we were surprised by the modern and yet traditional decor of the restaurant. We started our meal with bao buns, a temptation roll, green tea, and a draft beer. Everything was outstanding. For our main course we ordered the beef bowl, fish and chips, and miso soup. All the food we order surpassed our expectations. Our favorites were the bao buns and beef bowl. This is a local restaurant everyone should try. You won’t be disappointed with anything you order.

I have a new top rated restaurant. I can’t speak higher of this place. Rachel is the best waitress I have ever had period. She was the most attentive, most endearing, and most comforting server I have ever had. If you go, please make sure to make it a priority to have her as your server.

The food is as good as possible with a great selection. Prices are super good for the quality of food.

The atmosphere is pretty modern with a unique flair.

I am sorry, I can’t compliment this place enough. However, this was completely elevated by the true best service ever.

Rachel should be a CEO.

This place is by far a gem if you’re down for some fresh sushi and Japanese cuisine. The beef bowl was supreme and the Tok fries were all the rave. The chili mayo was very amazing. A must have is the panko fried sesame chicken. If you are ever in the area you should not skip this place you will not be disappointed. Will definitely be returning and with friends next time to share the experience. Great job guys!!!

Consistently great food and service in a lively pleasant atmosphere. Recommend reservations as they get very busy at popular times and waits can be long.
Sushi rolls are fresh and delicious and the tok fries are fantastic!

Everything about this place is class and authenticity. The waiters are kind, the decor is unique, the seating is plentiful, and the food is OUTSTANDING. This restaurant is the place to go when you want *real* ramen like you see in the movies and anime. I also recommend the tok fries and if you have a sweet tooth/affinity for coffee, be sure to get their specialty dessert. Also, hats off to this restaurant for going above and beyond during this pandemic to hand out abundant amounts of meals to those in need! These owners are truly a compassionate bunch.

Tokyo Cafe is very good at what they do. I frequent their establishment and I have not once been disappointed. Their menu is very authentically Japanese but they also find ways of being creative and add new menu items to try. Highly recommend a visit.

We had a great lunch. We tried a few different things! Their bao buns of the day were a brisket with bbq sauce; a great Texas twist on an Asian classic! We also tried a couple of different sushi options, fish and chips, and the sesame chicken. The fries are killer and totally unexpected for an Asian joint! Everything was delicious and the server was great! Would definitely visit again!

Tokyo Cafe is a treat! It's definitely Japanese food with an American flare, but I was still impressed with the flavors! First off, I will say it's small, and the parking can be somewhat of a nightmare when that little lot fills up. There's always been a small wait when I've gone, but it's worth it! The Tok Fries are basically just French fries with furikake but my god, it's almost addicting. The ramen has a deep garlic flavor, and the broth is super rich. I got the okonomiyaki and was blown away! They serve it on a cast iron pan, so they bottom gets nice and caramelized. The dancing bonito flakes were fun. I love the bright atmosphere and all the hanging lanterns.

I’ve been waiting to try Tokyo Cafe for a while now. Last night it did not disappoint. We truly had a good time and the food was amazing. I made a reservation for 5:30 just in case it was going to be busy and I’m glad I did after 6:00 everyone started to roll in for the dinner crowd. Our server was amazing, she gave great suggestions and she really knew the menu! We ordered a lot of appetizers during happy hour and they were all great!! The Hibiscus Margarita was so good, very refreshing. The dinner options were great as well! Definitely going back soon!!

Excellent food as always, and a good value. The service was pretty slow the day we were there, but still very friendly. Gyoza, sushi, bento box, all very good! My British friend said the fish and chips were some of the best he’s had in the US.

Pretty solid place, and friendly service. Went with a spicy bowl of ramen and some sushi rolls. It wasn't too loud and wasn't crowded either. The Tok fries were new to me but I'd recommend trying them out for sure. My wife loved them 👌 The ribs were solid appetizers, and the fish and chips were nice and crisp.

I absolutely love this place! I make excuses to drive 40 minutes out of my way to just come here. The Tan Tan ramen is a go to for me and the Tokyokonomiyaki is easily my favorite appetizer. The tok fries, edamame and bao buns are great alternative appetizers as well when we feel the need to mix it up. They’re always delicious and never disappoint!

The sushi is also really yummy too. I enjoy sitting at the sushi bar where you get to watch them making the orders as they come in. Service doesn’t get much faster than watching them make your roll and hand it directly to you once it’s finished!

We 💕 this place. I took my sister from out of town and my picky tween. Amazing Fort Worth twist on Boa Buns - filled with brisket and served with BBQ sauce 🤤
My favorite thing in the whole world is some amazing fish and chips. Who would have thought at a Japanese restaurant?!? They are fabulous. The fries are the same as the app Tok Fries… so if you order this main you get plenty to share. And make sure to ask for the chili Mayo!

Great use of subtle flavors and quality ingredients to make dishes with complex flavors. My food has generally been better than my wife's who eats vegetarian. The onigiri is one of my favorites I've had... although it's not common to find at reasturants in Texas so I haven't had many.

There are few foods on the entire planet that could be worth the prices this restaurant charges. Even fewer foods still that can even approach being worth an hour wait. None of this mediocre food is worth a quarter of the price or a quarter of the wait. If you’re a fan of minuscule portions at exorbitant prices with outrageous wait times, this is a great spot!
