Tacos El Rey

Had a great meal. A little pricey, but the service made up for that. Wish they had more drink choses. No tea or fountain drinks. They being said I will give them another try.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tacos El Rey for the first time, and I must say it was a great experience from start to finish. As soon as we entered, we were warmly greeted, and the attentive staff member even took the time to walk us through the menu.

We ordered 6 tacos, a cheese quesadilla meal for our kids, and 2 bottles of coke, which totaled to a reasonable $32. The barbacoa was my favorite, which was exceptionally tender and packed with flavor.

I particularly enjoyed the red salsa, which had just the right amount of spice and a burst of flavor that complemented the dishes perfectly. My husband, who has a penchant for spicier options, was delighted with their specialty green salsa.

The only minor setback was that they were out of birria during our visit, but it's a very popular item that sells out fast. It's clear from this experience that we'll be making a return trip when we find ourselves in the downtown Sherman area again.

Huge fan of this local spot! All of their food always tastes incredibly fresh, and you can tell they care about the quality and presentation of their food. I recommend the giant pizza birria quesadilla! The Al pastor tacos and margaritas are fantastic too.

Christian and his crew provided amazing catering service and great food for our reception. They were beyond accommodating, professional, showed up when they said they would, and patient with us when the number of attendees fluctuated. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for any future events.

This place has a chill atmosphere with great food with large portions. I ordered the birria pizza and it was delicious 😋🤤. This is my new go to for my favorite cuisine at lunchtime.

Been coming to get tacos for years now and always loved them, have had the birria pizza a couple times now it's phenomenol as well! Can't go wrong, great place great food, and better people!

We finally caught them open and it was definitely worth it.

Like everyone says, the Birria tacos are great. We also tried the Lengua (tender and flavorful), Asada (great flavor and wasn't all gristle) and Barbacoa (not my favorite but that is just preference).

The salsa Verde is some of my favorite. I prefer it spicy and more creamy than runny and they nailed it.

Amazing food in a relaxing setting, great music choices and incredibly good artwork on the walls. You need to stop here for an asada quesadilla!

MAN, this is authentic. Seems like your in Laredo maybe Mexico City or somewhere, the people here are just sort of Travis Street Cool, 10-2-23...nice set up Tito's...Cool 😎 place

This authentic cuisine in downtown Sherman is AMAZING!! The food and the staff exceeded expectations. This is gonna be a place I frequent from now on.

Ordered the 3 taco plate with lengua, barbacoa and campechano (comes with rice and refried beans). I thought all 3 tacos tasted great (added cilantro, onions and a squeeze of lime), prepared to perfection - topped it with some of the green hot sauce they make! Refried beans were good too. Service was quick and friendly. Stopped by on way back from casino-needed something yummy to comfort me 😁 and El Rey did not disappoint! I'll make sure I stop in next time I'm passing through and maybe try a torta. Sorry no pics, but I was hungry and forgot to take any before diving in.

THEY HAVE BIRRIA, food was amazing! The staff is very polite, and their guacamole is to die for. Must try if visiting in from out of town or just getting a stroll in downtown Sherman.

Great authentic Mexican food and fantastic service! Margaritas are awesome. Can't wait to go back again.

Working in the area and glad I found this place. Great food!! The gaucomole was so good and good a lot for the price. Awesome customer service.

First, I must start out with how great the food is and how the smell from the food will naturally draw you inside. My wife and I came in approximately 20 minutes before closing and were able to order and sit down. Employees quickly began making are order and brought it to us very promptly! They made us feel welcome and never rushed us to finish our food. We did not leave until after closing and yet everyone was still pleasant and kind. We will definitely be back!

A bit of a wait, but busy means good food! Lots of choices! The guacamole & salsas are very tasty & pair perfectly with the homemade chips! There was live music that was very nice. Tuesday nights are $1.50 tacos! I had Trompa (pork shoulder)...yummmm!!!! Plus, everything is clean!

Tito’s has without a doubt become my favorite restaurant. There is nowhere in Texas that has a better taco! Their service is amazing and the food is even better! If you haven’t tried them you should! You will not be disappointed

The tacos here are amazing. Plus, Customer service on point, and the A/C is nice and cold. Highly recommend eating here regularly.

When you miss your abuelas (grandmothers) cooking because she lives too many miles away, here at Tito’s Taqueria you can taste the same love in the food. The quality of food, affordable prices, and friendly service! Best street tacos in town- variety of meats to suit every palate, and delicious sides- eltoes, rice and/or beans to complete your meal!

Quick services, and friendly staff. The tacos, burritos, and elote are delicious. Decent mild sauce but im more of the hot sauce type and it has a great kick.
