Applebee's Grill + Bar

This is an experience I had with Applebee’s at 7880 Interstate-35. Worked late a few days and was hungry; everything was closed so decided to go to the closest Applebee’s to get a “healthy dinner.” Did not disappoint.

Server/Bartender Steven V was extremely accommodating, did not mind that I was the last customer before closing snd recommended the appropriate “hearty salad” for me. Attentive service in addition to marvelous hospitality. Amazing strawberry chicken salad; little sour vinaigrette w/ some almond, lettuce and chicken on sweet sauce that savors all the taste buds. Coupled with the bread, and a blue moon draft beer, it surprisingly filled up my stomach to full.

Because of the great food and service, will definitely come back again to try more healthy salads. Keep up the good work Steven & Applebee’s NE San Antonio!

1st, our server was excellent. Very friendly, courteous and professional. My bourbon hamburger 🍔 was awesome. Juicy and flavorful. My wife had the bourbon chicken and shrimp 🍤 and she loved it. We had the blonde for dessert and that was amazing. We also tried the dollaritas for the 1st time and while they were good, they were weak but what can you expect for a buck. Overall, we enjoyed our meal very much.

I went to Applebees and wanted to get my usual quesadilla burger and Eric Dtold me about the wing special and a great flavor and I tried it and loved it. His service was above and beyond and even though it was me eating alone he provided the best care ever! I would come back just because of Eric. The food was amazing of course, but it’s always the service that brings me back. Thanks Eric D, I hope you get a raise you deserve it

Food was hot and delicious. They were short staffed this night, but our waitress Rhonda ran her rear off to make sure her customers were impacted by that as little as possible. Much appreciated, Rhonda.

First time visiting this location. The hostess acknowledged our presence right away and took us to our table. The waitress came a few minutes later and also was very kind and warm. She suggested what drinks were available and took our order. She brought our classic combo and drinks which were delicious! She also came around several times being very attentive. I really this location and the staff amazing!

Haven't been here in a long time. Came today. Waiter suggested Bourbon st chicken with shrimp. I ordered it and boy was it delicious. Waiter George was great. Very attentive, kind and well mannered. He's a keeper. Thank you.

It was absolutely 💯 the best experience. Rhonda was our server and her service was excellent. She was so sweet and helpful and VERY patient! We never had to call her over.. she was very good at checking in periodically! Next time I'm in the neighborhood... I'm definitely eating here!

I was greeted by the host as I entered and escorted to the bar area where I wanted to be seated. Overall the place was nice and clean. Music at a great level where I could enjoy the music but also conversations around the bar. Bartender was amazing, she greeted me and took my order as soon as I sat down. Drinks were delivered in a timely manner even though the bar area was completely full. Everyone was nice and welcoming. I LOVE THIS PLACE.

Food took no time to come out and was hot and fresh. Shrimp 'N Parmesan Sirloin The steak was rare as expected and delish. The shrimp was creamy and tender. Yummy all around.

Rhonda was amazing in her service to me and my wife. She was kind and fast. She asked if we were military so she could offer the discount. Please let her know that we appreciate her!! It’s hard to find great service anymore.

My overall experience was incredibly pleasant. The staff here was very attentive, timely, and friendly while not overbearing. The food was wonderful. I ordered the chicken bacon club with fries and the new exclusive Dark Berry Mountain Dew. My wife had the riblet plate, while my daughter enjoyed the blackened salmon plate. I would like to have given 5 stars across the board, but the table was sticky for an unknown reason, despite watching the young hostess wipe it down. I do not believe it was a cleaning issue, but rather a chemical issue.

The food was not all that great, but I gave 5 stars because our waitress was awesome. We stopped going to Applebee's because of the food and service a few years back. We decided to give it another chance in a different area. The food still wasn't the best but the lady that took our order was the best. Very friendly, attentive, and had a great smile on her face every time she approached us. The bar 🍸 tender was also in great spirits as well. And the drinks were delicious. So all in all it was a nice visit. Definitely will come back and try something else. Good job you guys!

If i could give Rhonda 10 stars i absolutely would!
Not only did she check in multiple times to make sure we were fine and didn’t need anything but anytime she saw something was low she was already on it. I would say Rhonda is the definition of Customer Service and was honestly a breathe of fresh air compared to a lot of other service we have gotten in the past!

The food was great. Service was nice, friendly, and efficient. Good 90s music was playing. The place was quiet on my lunch visit.

Rhonda was amazing! We enjoyed having her as our server. She made great recommendations and is very friendly! :)

My husband and I came to eat a late dinner and immediately greeted by Sam! We are so grateful that we got her to be our waitress! She was very attentive and knew how to hold a conversation while also multitasking and making sure we had everything to enjoy our dinner! The food was hot and fresh on top of Sam’s great service! She just made our night and we just want to give her a shout out!! Thanks Sam we definitely will be coming back!!! Thanks for being so patient and sweet! Also for my rainbow candy! lol I hope we run into you again!

My Boyfriend went and placed a to go order for us today!! He came back with Nothing but nice things to say about Rhonda! Thank you for taking good care of us and you weren't in clocked in yet! Not too many people would be willing to assist when they're technically not getting paid yet!! Service like this is hard to find!! She made sure our drinks were secure and everything was good to go!! We actually went in person yesterday for his Bday! Steve was amazing as well! Hope this location knows how lucky they are! The people that go the extra mile are rare!! Ya'll are lucky to have both of them!! All raises and praises!! 😁🥰😊

Very nice,calm,family oriented atmosphere. Our waiter George, was the best,always making sure all our wants and needs were meant. Highly recommend.

Came in for a dinner after an all day event in the area. The food was excellent and the service was amazing. Our waitress named Rhonda was the best! She was the kindest and sweetest… excellent service. I would definitely stop by again.

We stopped by today for lunch due to us being close by. Our server Brooke was absolutely a doll. She was on top of our drinks and checking on us. She has a wonderful personality. Our food was amazing and so fresh. We will definitely have to make more trips that way.
