This is one of our favorite parks to camp. The staff is kind and courteous if you need them, but we rarely do. The public bathrooms have had trouble keeping up with busy summer weekends, but I think they were going to upgrade that last I heard. We'll see what happens this summer.

Found out my Rottie loves being in the lake.. he just sinks like a Sherman tank so he'll swim with a doggie float. As always, a great time but people please! Take your DIAPERS and trash with you! Every single time I go to a river or a lake, no fail, there's a filthy nasty diaper just left on the ground. People like that are why nothing is free or nice.

This state park is dedicated to the 5 civilized tribes. It was very informative and interesting. Everyone should stop and enjoy.
Dont forget to pick up your passport sticker and enjoy the park.
Update:
I went today and it's been very neglected, was very disappointed ☹.

I got the perfect shady spot with a beautiful view of the lake. Just got back from a long walk. We found a little trail that wound through the woods. One of my favorite places to be. The camp host is really nice and it's just a really great pleasure to be here.

This was our first time to visit Fort Gibson. We came to host a Karaoke birthday party and then decided to stayed the night. Some of the bathrooms need a little attention but the park as a whole is well maintained, lots of room for activities, water is nice, the camp host Mike was very kind and willing to help in finding spots and was very kind. Worth the stay and we will back.

Love going to Cypress Grove Marina to the Giggle fish cafe on the dock. We can pull up in our boat for a cold one and pretty good food, reasonable prices. Even been to a couple parties there at night, live bands, layd back atmosphere, good people, kid friendly

Looking for a place to get away from the grind of day to day living ?
Got time to spare ?
Set your GPS to Sequoyah Bay.
Choose from the amenities of basketball, swimming at the beach, boating, floating on the beautiful lake. Across the water sits Sequoyah Lodge in the well known Sequoyah State Park.
One has to work at not having fun being in this atmosphere.

Me and my gals hang out here at least once a year. Very beautiful, and quiet place to relax, camp, have a picnic, or even swim in the summer time.

It was flooded so wasn't very busy there. Fished right off the boat launch caught some cat fish and a carp on worm.

Great area for a picnic, nice place for camping. It's hot but there's lots of wind from the river.
