Awesome place to stay! The State park is beautiful. Deer, raccoons, fireflies (first time I've ever see them!), possums, great 9-hole golf course that was not busy when I went (NOT peak season) that I could hack my way using the WHOLE course :), staff at the Lodge were super helpful and I loved the "retro decor. Not "retro" to me...just perfect though for the setting the Lodge sits in.

Go there if you enjoy nature and just a cool place.

It was surprisingly more modern than I had expected from a cabin, but it was right on the lake shore, with a spectacular view of the setting sun. The cabins are two to a building with a locked door between them so, a good deal of noise carries over from one cabin to the next. Early bird families and late night partiers can be at odds, because of this. However, being considerate and tolerant can go a long way.

We recently hosted a karaoke party for a conference that was held at this park and it has become our favorite park we have visited. Swimming pool, meeting rooms, quant hotels and tucked in cabins makes this park so awesome. You will not be disappointed. The sunset is beautiful there.

Very nice place. Friendly staff. Short handed in the restaurant. Slow service. But good food. Would still recommend it as a place to visit.

Just spent the weekend at The Lodge. This resort is really spectacular. Amazing views & The Lodge really took care of us. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The A/C was ice cold!! The deck overlooked the lake from above with amazing sunset views. We really enjoyed our time on the lake and the resort’s pool was perfect for little kids and the adults. One thing about the pool is bring your own towel. Had a couple of meals at the resort, the food was really good and the service was excellent. We had a large group, and they took great care of us.

Honestly, I was taken away by the views from the resort and off of our deck. I would recommend The Lodge to everyone and plan to come back soon!

Hard to imagine a resort feel in a state park. This exactly what you get when staying at the Lodge. I went for a little cabin that sits on top of a hill. I wasn't expecting a TV! The view of the lake was much better. No need to bring in towels or linens, all is provided. Considering the remoteness, it was nice there is a functioning restaurant on site. If you wanted to make your own meals, there are cabins with kitchenettes. From golfing, tennis, basketball, , or a ton of other activities you or your family should find plenty to do. Oh, there is a huge pool as well. The 50s hotel or the cabins the Lodge is a great place to stay!

We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed our visit. The cabin was a 6 sleeper and very comfortable for the four of us. We had a outstanding view of the lake from our deck and really enjoyed it in the mornings outside.
We all agreed a return visit is in our future.

Came for a retreat. A bit dated but that is part of its charm. There is a sweet diner inside the lodge that is adorable!

You're greeted by a beautiful drive in through the trees, the hotel is tucked away right on the lake. There are a few trails, an animal sanctuary, that I hope is full of rescued animals... they have tennis courts, cabins, swimming. The pool is only open from 9am-9pm. The front desk employees were kind and helpful.

You have to see this place to believe it. Can't believe this exists in Oklahoma. It's a shame that so many people outside of Oklahoma know that this is a very beautiful place

I ate there with one of my buddies a couple of weeks ago. Kaylee was our server, she was blond. Food was amazing and great service

Not much places to hang wet pool clothes. Internet non existent in our room, no microwave in our room. Pool very clean looking, very nice splash pad. The new chairs are nice, I simply don't like the Adirondack style. Nice to have the small tables at the pool. Really missed the restaurant which is closed. No food trucks available during the week 😢

We're here for Elks convention, so far so great! We got a pet friendly room, and it has a kitchenette.

A beautiful park with friendly people. Very nice staff. The cabins were a tad smaller than expected but they were very nice. The one I rented had a kitchenette, and they even provided dishes and the means to clean them. There was a small TV with the ability to hook systems into it and a small table available in mine. The walls are pretty thin however, so people should be mindful of how loud they are at night. I was very pleased with my stay and plan on coming back to try some of the other facilities also.

Needed a weekend getaway and this place was perfect. It's a gorgeous drive into the place. Especially in the fall. It's well maintained and lots to do in the summer. Horseback riding is near by. Their outdoor pool and splash pad is very nice. The restaurant in the Lodge is open and has really good food. If you plan on having a cocktail B.Y.O.B. because alcohol isn't sold here. This was actually my second stay. This was my choice a few years ago for a girl's weekend with 3 of my best friends. That time we stayed in one of the 2 BR cabins (sleeps 6) overlooking the lake. Sitting on the deck watching a near perfect sunset, sharing a bottle of wine with friends is still a treasured memory ❤. This time however, I went alone and rented a "Studio Cabin" (sleeps 2). It wasn't much different than any motel room I've ever stayed in but it was very nice, roomy, clean and did have a mini fridge. No microwave though but that isn't a deal breaker for me. What it did have was privacy and peace & quiet. The entire staff are friendly and always helpful. I felt safe taking a walk in the evening around the property with my dogs. It's an overall great experience and I highly recommend it.

Really nice place. It is a hotel, and one to be proud of too.

Pros:

Newly remodeled in past five years, pleasant decor throughout the building.

The restaurant was great, service and food were good quality.

Pets are only allowed in the cabins so the hotel rooms were clean of any pet dander or smell.

Rooms were clean altogether with good space and decor.

Staff were friendly and nice, even when handling issues.

Good lounging areas inside, one particularly our favorite was the area with the fireplace (made for an excellent reading place after everyone has gone to bed)

With a room that faces the lake, very nice large windows that take in the beautiful view.

Outside out front is a great place to watch the sun set over the lake.

Cons:

Smaller bathrooms (not too small though) since the footprint of the structure is older.

The room we were in (255) has what seemed to be a roof top unit above the room kicking on and off through the day and night. Running the AC fan at night helped drown the sound out.

Wife said the bed was a little hard for her.

Above all, we were amazed. We will be definitely coming again, and are recommending the place to others.

We had my daughter's and new son-in-law's wedding at the point and it was amazing and so beautiful. Everyone that I interacted with was so accommodating and helpful! They went above and beyond and made sure we had everything we needed and even fixed some things we didn't anticipate. I highly recommend The Lodge and the staff! I wish I could remember all of your names so I could give you all a shout out individually. But just know that if you worked the weekend of Oct.1-3, 2021, you are amazing and I am beyond grateful for your help!! Thank you for dealing with our crazy!!

#EasterinOctober was a huge success!

Thank you again!!! Lori Clinton (mother of the bride)♡
