The Felix Cafe

I had read the reviews and was excited to have lunch with my wife here. Let me tell you they did not disappoint!! Our server Robin was an absolute joy! She was very kind and was glad to explain the portion sizing (I wasn't looking for a huge meal at the time). My wife and I started with the Crab Stuffed Mushroom which I didn't think to take a picture of as they were gone before we knew it! They were amazing!! For entrées I had the Hamburger Steak and for being a more simple dish it was amazing! The mash potatoes were wonderful paired with the gravy. My wife had the Crab Cake Sammy and said it was extremely good and the Lobster Bisque which was very tasty! They have a unique spin on their fries which are more of a spiral wedge. We will for sure be returning to try more of what they have to offer. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a clean, fast, and delicious meal! Sadly this restaurant like other restaurants are short staff but if you are patient and wait you are going to be able to enjoy one of the greatest dishes. The staff was friendly regardless of how busy they were they treated us well. We got greeted with a friendly smile.

I have recently read several good reviews and was looking forward to coming to this restaurant. The Monte Cristo was my highlight, but all the options we tried were excellent. The staff was friendly and very helpful, but the food did take some time to come to the table. Still give five stars because it was worth the wait. Highly recommend and will be coming back soon to try other options. Hope to see you there.

First time visit and it was great. Fast seating and service. Food was very good. Crab stuffed mushrooms appetizer was so tasty! My girlfriend and I had the 1 choice seafood basket. Flounder and shrimp,respectively. Very well seasoned and great proportions. Definitely going back to try some other dishes.

Super friendly staff! I sat next to the salt water aquarium to admire their beautiful corals and fish and the waitress showed me their mascot 🦜 🥰 My pineapple shrimp fried rice came IN a pineapple, which was a nice touch to a delicious dish! Definitely give this place a visit!

I had the Felix steak and cheese Sammy. Yummy!!! Perfect. My hubby had the shrimp and grits and says it’s phenomenal! Happy campers today!!

Delicious! Excellent food, great selection, cool vibe all around. Prices are more than fair for the great food and service we received. Why did I wait so long?? I had a "cup" of the scallop & bacon chowder, with the seafood basket...shrimp & soft shell crab. SOOOOOO GOOD!

The Felix Cafe is a hidden gem! We went there to listen to jazz and get a bite to eat. The inside opens to a new world of creativity. You will have to walk around to enjoy all to see. Oh...back to the food and music. The Bacon-Gouda-Mushroom soup and the Coconut Shrimp were DELICIOUS!!! The presentation was just as delightful as the food. Hats off to the friendly staff who definitely show pride in their cafe; a special shout out to Bill Kerr (the jazz entertainer) and my new BFF!

Monte Cristo was fabulous! Stuffed mushroom app was really good. Loved the Bloody Mary's. Kids loved the real Mac n Cheese. Casual atmosphere. Great service. One of my favorite places.

I've been here twice now, and it's been just a wonderful experience each time. The first time I had a shrimp po boy, this time I had shrimp and grits. Both times my food was fantastic.

The decor is kind of eclectic maritime and is very relaxed/casual. There's a beautifully maintained aquarium in the main dining area too, which I love.

The service is friendly and efficient, and my friends and I were made to feel very welcome for our lunch outing today. We will absolutely be back.

Excellent service, music and food. I’m not a fish eater, but decided to try the flounder that was recommended by our server. I wasn’t disappointed, it was exceptionally cooled and tasted wonderful. Try the sweet potato fries and the 5-bite salad, you won’t regret your decision.

I love the Felix Cafe! I wish they still had brunch on Sundays because it was amazing! You can't go wrong with anything on their menu though, I love the salads and if I am feeling up for it the monte cristo! You have to order the mac and cheese no matter what!

Wow, amazing. Had the shrimp rice combo in the pineapple. It was 👌. Robin our server, was the best.

4. Felix Cafe RULZ!! The next time was even better!! Following week Parker and I go and get some plain beautifully fried crispy hot wings. With some amazing BBQ honey tangy sauce. And we split the Monte Cristo. Parker got sweet potato fries and I got regular fries with aside of mayonnaise in a lot of jelly. We both had leftover Monte Cristo's. Freaking AMAZING!! LOVE THE MONTE CRISTO'$!!!!

3. This last Carolyn and I went was For my birthday. And I got a whole Monte Cristo with extra jelly and if 5 bite salad. I ate 1/4 of the Monte Cristo, I ate the 5 bite salad and took home three-quarters of a Monte Cristo. It was great. Are it for 2 days!

2. Next trip to Felix Cafe was with Carolyn for Easter Sunday and they ran out of him for the Monte Cristo. we had ordered our drinks before we found out about the 86ed Monte Cristos. So the drinks arrived. But since then Monte cristo's were not available we left without without our drinks they need to have that labeled right up front.

1.Way BETTER THAN BENNEGAN'S Best Monte Cristo Sandwich I have ever had! Best service ever. Great atmosphere! This place is a hidden gem hidden down near the Port of Wilmington. I can't believe I have lived in the Port City for 17 years and I have never been to the Felix Cafe. So if you haven't tried it out yet get there ASAP!! Make reservations just in case.
And if you've never had a Monte Cristo Sandwich order one your first time and then go another time and try something different. I can't wait to go back. I'll be dreaming of my next Monte Cristo...

Everyone raved about their meals. The shrimp tacos were delicious and not messy to eat. My dad devoured his pimento cheese burger. Everything was so yummy! Even my teenage son liked it! The service was fast and absolutely delightful. They realized a mistake was made on an order and quickly fixed it without being asked. Valentino the cussing Parrott could only topped by the incredible coconut cake! Definitely recommend.

Ordered a sandwich to go. I'm not sure if it's the restaurant or the sticker shock of the economy, I didn't expect to pay $25.00 for a sandwich. I did like the Macaw hanging out.

Always has a great atmosphere,and it's a pleasure working for the owner.. Excellent entrees....

Wrightsville Beach burger.. at Cafe Felix. Good times. We did go on Friday which seems to be karaoke night. So be prepared for fun. Also saw signs for other events . Kid friendly good time.

This has just become one of my favorite places! The Monte Cristo beats the ones I used to get at Bennigan's (for those who remember)!!! Awesome food! Great service!
