Four Paws Animal Clinic

Our beloved chihuahua passed away a couple of years ago, and we have finally mended enough to get TWO more! I immediately took them to Four Paws after we adopted them because we had such a great experience with our first dog there. They remain the same professional and caring vet clinic that we remembered! Highly recommend!

Andy is the 4th dog I've had and taken to Dr. Smith at Four Paws. She and her staff are the best of the best! Plus there's Heather the groomer who is also excellent, making it even more convenient. It's a small practice and the people are very calming, which is so important to pets.

They couldn’t have been more helpful and efficient with Taco, I was a little nervous about the vet bill but it was very reasonable..Taco would recommend Four Paws to anyone needing a no frills vet.

And I’m not sure if this was an office kitty but he was probably the biggest cat I’ve ever seen

My new home base vet! the staff was beyond exceptional and one of the kindest people you'll meet! my dog jake is a big baby and they all went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable 😀 not only that but they addressed every concern I had and communicated with me very clearly. you can really see that the people here truly loves animals, I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could!

3 year update: Still love this place, will answer all your questions, address your concerns and willing to have open discussions about treatment options. Morgan is the best, she truly feels like a friend looking out for you. I bother her frequently and she always gets back to me super fast and always in a friendly manner, never seemed annoyed in the slightest. Dr. Smith is also very knowledgeable, if you have a background in bio shell even talk shop with ya.

I have been going to this Vet now for 25 years. Dr. Smith delivers expert advice and care, and is pleasant and efficient. Clearly, she loves animals. Her staff members are skilled and reflect her values as well. I prefer taking my pet to an independent, personalized, office — rather than a large clinic. This is a well-established, great, place.

Dr. Smith and her staff are amazing! Last year, our dog declined rapidly and Dr. Smith and her staff rearranged their calendars to come to our home to support our dog's transition, even though we had never met them prior to his decline. They were incredibly warm and supportive and we received a handwritten card expressing their condolences shortly afterward. We are now the owners of two lively pups and Dr. Smith and her staff have continued to provide exceptional care at every turn. Whether they need shots or additional support, Dr. Smith always takes her time to discuss their care and provide helpful information. She is highly knowledgeable and genuinely interested in them. Micki always greets us with a smile and she follows up with us consistently. Dylan's demeanor is calming and supportive. There is not one thing I would change about the care our dogs have received at Four Paws. If you are looking for a personal touch and genuine care for your pet, I recommend you strongly consider Four Paws!!!

This practice has been great! All the staff are super friendly and the physicians are knowledgeable and kind. They’re also super responsive and great about sending reminders for when our kitties our due for appointments or shots. Definitely recommend Four Paws!

I love being able to have my dogs cared for and groomed at the same place. I love that I can email them any time of day or night and I'll get a return call the next business day. I love that they don't hesitate to work me in when we have a bandage check that needs to be done and the only time that works is right at closing time. I love that it's small enough for my fur babies to get special attention and not just be a number.

I actually discovered Four Paws originally for grooming, after choosing another vet when we moved to Chapel Hill. But I switched to Four Paws for vet care after a year because I was so impressed with their online recordkeeping and appointment scheduling, and how well they loved on all four of our dogs. They kept better track of their immunizations than the our original vet did. I couldn't be more pleased!

I've been going to this Four Paws for years. Dr. Smith and her staff are wonderful. I have a new cat who is easily frightened and will hiss and scratch when she feels threatened. Dr. Smith and her staff were very patient and gentle with my cat and kept a great sense of humor. They also were very patient and kind with me! I trust Dr. Smith's knowledge and skill and I like the way she takes her time in explaining my cat's health status and needs and in making sure I understand. I love how responsive the clinic is in scheduling appointments.

This was Pants' first visit here and we both were impressed! I had a choice between two types of one vaccine and the differences were thoroughly explained to me before deciding which I appreciated. Definitely a pleasant visit for us both.

Four Paws Animal Clinic has gone above and beyond in helping our Vets to Vets United Inc. pups with all their needs. The entire staff are friendly, professional and a real pleasure to work with.

We moved our four legged family members to Dr. Smith's practice after having so many issues with corporate pet care. One of my dog's was nearly 15 years old when I had to let him go. Dylan was very quick to respond as my dog's condition was declining quickly. Their care was compassionate, thoughtful, and personal. They didn't rush, let us have our time, and while I still cry every time I think about my dear Ace, I wouldn't have chosen anyone else to help him cross to the happy hunting grounds. I will recommend anyone who wants an attentive care team for their pets to go to this clinic. Also, the in-house cats, birds, and fish are great to visit when we go.

Heather, the "four Paws" groomer, is superb. I have a senior Wire fox Terrier that is difficult to groom. He comes back looking like a show dog!

Thanks Four Paws! The staff at Four Paws was super professional and knowledgeable. They were able to take care of all my dog's needs during COVID, including shots, treatment, annual physical and grooming. I felt safe bringing her there for the first time. She came home happy and healthy. Highly recommend!

Dr. Smith and her staff have done a phenomenal job taking care of my kitten.
They have a very good protocol in place to keep the risk of covid transmission down to a minimum. I feel safe taking my kitten to the clinic during this pandemic.

They answer all my questions thoroughly.
Dr. Smith takes time to talk to me in detail about what my cat needs, why and what she recommends. She has even taken time to call the cat food companies to determine what is best for him. She truly cares about what is best for my kitten.

It is clear that both Dr. Smith and her staff genuinely care for the pets in their charge as if they were their own. Also of importance is that if a pet's medical condition requires specialty care, Dr. Smith will not hesitate to make an appropriate recommendation -- and she continues to follow up on the pet's progress while it is being treated by the specialist. My family and I have acquired a lot of trust in Dr. Smith and her staff and would recommend Four Paws without reservation.

My pup isn't a fan of strangers and has high anxiety which always makes vet trips stressful in the past. But Four Paws is different. They greet my furry family member with sweet voices, treats, and all the love. He loves all the staff there. They go above and beyond at Four Paws. They are so kind to us and even offered to get us all of his records when we told them we were moving states. I highly recommend Four Paws to anyone in the triangle area!

Awesome vet and vet techs! Everyone is always kind and helpful. I never feel rushed out of an appointment, they take their time when my pup is sick. Really appreciate this place!

The Four Paws team has been our choice for veterinary care for our animals for more than 20 years. Our dogs are members of our family, and I am probably more picky about choosing my dogs vet than my own doctor. Dr. Smith has provided excellent care over the years and almost as importantly has not hesitated to refer cases to a specialty vet when she could not resolve a problem with one of our dogs. You can't go wrong with this team.
