Walmart Vision & Glasses

I just went here to get my son and daughter their glasses. I loved it! They had a great experience. They got their glasses back less than 7 days. Will be coming here from now on.

I am the Optometrist responding to the review by Gary Dobson. Mr. Dobson had made an appointment with our office but had not provided his insurance information. As a courtesy to our patients we verify insurance coverage prior to the day of the examination so that time is not spent doing that at the actual visit -it can sometimes take awhile to verify insurance depending on the policy, and it may save them a trip if their coverage is not what they expected. The day prior to his appointment, I called Mr. Dobson to confirm as well as inquire about his insurance info. (He spoke with me because my office manager is on maternity leave so I am also handling some of her duties). He stated that he would just bring it to the appointment. I reminded him that it is to his benefit to have us verify his coverage prior to the visit. At that, he said "you know what just cancel it" and hung up. I am sorry if Mr. Dobson got the wrong impression, but I can assure you that everything we do here is patient-focused, including verifying their insurance in advance of their appointment. I have been at this location for 22 years and I pride myself on going the extra mile for my patients, and I would be glad to do so for Mr. Dobson should he chose to come in.

My son and I had a great experience with the staff. Allan was a great help in assisting my son on what sport glasses to choose.

Good frames are difficult to find. I have gotten glasses 2 times at this place. Both times i have purchased two complete pairs of glasses. The first time i bought the anti-reflective coated lenses. Even though i only used the microfiber cloth, every time, to clean them they got terribly scratched- so much so that it obscured my vision. I have *never* had that happen to a pair of my glasses- even in the past, with other glasses, when ive used a shirt tail to clean them. The 2nd time i purchased the glasses, i refused the coating & low & behold, they are barely scratched at all, years after getting them. It is my opinion that they didnt even reduce the glare at night, anyway. Even when i first got them & there were no scratches, yet. A total waste of $ and i had to replace them much sooner than i normally would have had to. Such a good scam to squeeze money out of the consumer. The glasses themselves are average quality and the only disrepair to any of the 4 pairs of glasses i got from them has been a screw come out here & there. Easily repaired. Surprisingly the frames themselves have kept their shape (they are wire frames) & stayed in good repair, even when there was an incident that caused them to fly off my face & i stepped on them, accidentally, magoo style.

We made my daughter an appointment 3 days prior and when we arrived at the time and day they said she had no appointment. The guy Allen said we might not be at the right location so i asked my lady to call the number from the call log and it rang to him and he answered. He blamed the Drs office so I went next door to talk to them and made an appointment with Stephanie for the next day. The next day 2 and a half hours my lady gets a call from the Dr saying the appointment is canceled due to a emergency of the Dr. Bad business. 👎🏽

Walmart just lost out on a thousand dollars and they can thank their rude Receptionist on the exam side. They have no communication between the glasses area and the exam area (2 separate rooms). There were 2 of us, my sister and I. My sister went to get an exam & glasses and i was motivated to get my exam and glasses here in the coming weeks. I will make this short, just like the Receptionist acted. Because of her (Receptionist) behavior, my sister chose to get her glasses elsewhere and almost didn't get the $99 exam done. But the optometrist was kind so she went forward. And with my future exam/glasses, they lost out on $550, at least, alone on my end.

Terrible customer service, I called them to let them know they are not get paid by insurance because they made filing error but they insist on going to store, not sure going to store for what? Very impatient & careless & loveless to their jobs & customers.

Called in to schedule an appointment for an eye exam.....Spoke directly with the doctor......Never asked me anything about my eyes or what was wrong or anything.....All he was worried about was getting my insurance information so he could process it before i got there, as he told me......Kinda tells me exactly what type of healthcare professional a person is when they are more concerned about the payment rather than the patient.....
