Animal Hospital of Carrboro, you deserve more than 5 stars! I brought my 9 year old, feisty yorkie-poo to this office with a bad mouth infection that had been going on for some time and they wasted no time checking him out and getting us on the schedule to get it taken care of. The infection was much worse than we thought which resulted in him having all of his teeth extracted and this mama was a nervous wreck because he’s never had to go through any surgery or anesthesia. Given his age I was very hesitant to proceed but the Dr’s assured me that if his lab work and other test results didn’t look like he could make it through the procedure then they wouldn’t do it. Thankfully my Bentley was able to have his surgery and done so well with the anesthesia and recovery. We are 1 week post op today and he is back to his happy, playful self! I give all thanks to the amazing team for taking such good care of us from the ladies up front checking us in that answered my 200 questions, the guy that made sure I knew how to properly give pain meds, the sweet lady that cuddled by baby after surgery and brought him out to me & Dr Boggs that kept him safe during the entire procedure and updated me afterwards and has been there all through the recovery to answer any questions I had. Thank you thank you! If you are looking for great care from a team who actually cares about your pet, look no further.

Dr. Anderson cared for our dog for over five years. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Anderson and her practice. Dr. Anderson is thorough and her knowledge extensive. She always took time to answer our questions with depth, compassion, and nuance. She understood our dog's personality and individual needs.

The vet tech team is caring and detail-oriented. The front-desk team is responsive and works hard to make schedules and appointments happen, and offer alternatives when they can't.

We had a very positive experience here and knew our dog was in excellent hands.

We boarded our dog here several times as well, and recommend their services highly.

I’ve been bringing both of my animals here for over a year. I have both a cat and a dog and they provide the best care at a great price. The whole team is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. My vet really focused on preventative care and strategies to better take care of my pets. They are awesome and loving. My cat and dog always feel safe and warm up after a few scratches.

I am so grateful to have such a wonderful and caring Vet nearby. The Animal Hospital of Carrboro and it’s employees are responsive, caring, and willing to go above and beyond constantly. I can always count on a quick response to an email. Even on a Saturday, the employees will be flexible (fit in a pet without an appointment) if they feel it is necessary. Thank you to the entire team for being so wonderful to my dog Brody !!

My cat is an old biddy. She starts screaming like a banshee and trying to bite as soon as she is touched. I have taken her to multiple vets, some of whom were clearly terrified of her. I'm SO HAPPY to have found Dr. Anderson and her practice! Not only are they friendly, thorough and compassionate, Dr. Anderson LOVES Boo's fiesty ways and is always happy to see my mean girl. It makes all the difference having a vet that actually likes your pet! Are they the cheapest? No. But it's worth the extra $$ to know my Boo is treated by someone who cares rather than someone who just wants to be rid of her as soon as possible!

Dr. Boggs has been very generous with her time and expertise concerning my elderly cat. Writes amazing follow-up emails and answers any questions with care. Highly recommend.

Last summer my cat, who was 17 at the time, lost a lot of weight and was not doing well. He was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. I knew he would not respond well to other treatments so my vet recommended getting radiation treatment at their RadCats facility.

This treatment is expensive, but for me it was 100% worth it. I was extremely worried in the shape he was in he would not survive much longer - maybe not even the treatment. The vets and staff took excellent care of him, answered all the questions I had, and executed extreme patience as I badgered them daily for updates - which they provided with kindness.

A little over a year later my cat has gained most of the weight back he lost. He's 18 - so he's got myriad other problems. But I am convinced he wouldn't be here at all without the treatment and care he received here. And he's thriving for his age.

No matter how long I get with my buddy - and I went in knowing even with the most successful treatment it might not be long - I will be forever grateful to them. If you can afford it, I cannot recommend their RadCats facility and treatment highly enough.

Dr. Anderson and her staff care deeply for the animals they serve and the people who love them. They have consistently provided excellent care for all of our animals and have helped us through some really challenging cases. They are kind, knowledgeable, and true animal lovers. I would definitely recommend Dr. Anderson, Dr. Boggs, and their entire team!

I love The Animal Hospital of Carrboro. Dr. Anderson is my regular vet and she is wonderful, and I'm not just saying that because she flatters my cat (although that doesn't hurt). :-) It's because she is caring and knowledgeable and up-to-date on the latest research, as well as being friendly and personable. I trust her completely. I never feel rushed out the door when I'm there for a visit - she takes the time to explain everything carefully and answer all my questions.

Everyone in the entire office is friendly and actually seems like they like animals, unlike a lot of other clinics I've been to. I've had nothing but great experiences with the front desk staff and with the vet techs. I've also seen one of the other vets once when I brought in a stray I rescued, and she was fantastic too! For a lot of us, bringing our fur babies to the vet is an anxiety-provoking experience, and having caring and friendly staff is so helpful.

Another thing I love about this clinic is that they do an incredible job at providing information. They have great handouts explaining procedures that really help answer questions and reduce anxiety, and for certain procedures the vet will even send a personalized email with aftercare instructions. They also go above and beyond with follow-up, always giving a phone call to check and make sure everything is okay the day after any kind of procedure.

I can't say enough good things about this clinic!

We love Dr. Anderson and the staff at The Animal Hospital of Carrboro. The Animal Hospital has taken care of our family pets (dogs, cats and hamsters) since 1975 (Dr. Ward). We always found them to be knowledgeable, reasonable and kind.

I just moved to Carrboro and brought my cat here for her first NC vet visit. Dr. Anderson and the rest of the office staff were very welcoming and made me feel great about transitioning my pets’ care to this practice! My cat is very anxious and Dr. Anderson had a very calming effect on her. She also did a really great job of thoroughly explaining all our options for treating my cat’s hyperthyroidism!

I came here for the Rad Cats center for my cat Molly. She needed their radioactive iodine treatment for her hyperthyroidism. They were very sweet and accommodating and were able to schedule her quite quickly. They kept her for 2 weeks after her procedure to make sure her radiation levels were down before she came home and there was no additional cost. They took excellent care of my sweet kitty and were happy to check on her when I called to see how she was. I would definitely recommend them especially for the Rad Cats program if your kitty needs it!

My family has been going to the Animal Hospital since it opened and have had nothing but excellent experiences. They have treated normal pet maladies and helped us keep our pets healthy. They’ve also made it possible for a couple of our pets to live comfortably and well with conditions like Addison’s Disease and canine arthritis. And when end-of-life decisions occurred, they were kind, patient and gentle. We are so grateful for the entire team’s expertise, attention to detail, and compassion.

WE LOVE THE ANIMAL HOSPITAL and DR ANDERSON! Our dog Lucy absolutely LOVES going to the vet - not because she is strange but because she LOVES Dr. Anderson SO MUCH.

I have never seen a vet be so loving with animals in my life. Her compassion and her gentle demeanor makes Lucy so comfortable and she adores going to see her - even if it means getting a shot.

The entire staff truly loves each pet like they are their own. We have also boarded Lucy here and she was so well taken care of and loved that we will only leave her with the staff at The Animal Hospital when we are out of town.

I've had other pets and been to different vets over the years and I have never had a more personal, loving and friendly experience than with these doctors.

I can't say enough wonderful things about The Animal Hospital and if you aren't taking your furbabies here then you are nuts - they love them just as much as we do and you can't ask for anything more in a vet.

I HIGHLY recommend The Animal Hospital Carrboro!!!!!

Excellent, thoughtful care. My dog was not a regular patient (I was visiting from out of town when he fell sick), but they took him that day. They spent a lot of time with him, and were sensitive about costs. I have totally confidence in these folks, and I say that as the care-taker of a severely-abused rescue dog with a lot of issues. Staff is friendly and kind. It doesn't get much better than this.

I've had nothing but fantastic experiences at this vet. I see Dr. Crum. She spends a lot of time with my dog and is very thorough. She communicates clearly and really cares about her patients. My dog had to get his leg amputated and she was incredibly helpful in walking me through various options and also directing me to resources to help with the cost. The wait time is usually very reasonable (no more than 20 minutes) and the availability is great (I can usually get in either same day if something is wrong). The location could not be more convenient.
