VCA Timberlyne Animal Hospital

I've been going to VCA for years now and I don't think I have a single bad thing to say! They're always super nice and super helpful. They help me understand what is going on with my pets in a way that keeps me aware without panicking when my critters are ill.

Additionally, today I showed up for an appointment with the wrong date (it's next week, not today--entirely my fault!) and the staff allowed me to bring my pet for a "happy visit"--to get treats and be loved on so he isn't afraid of the vets in the future! Cannot say enough wonderful things about VCA!

My family has been utilizing Timberlyne Animal Hospital for many years. Upon my return to North Carolina, after a long hiatus in Maine, I knew exactly where to take my dog Grace for care. I was able to get a same-day appointment. Within one hour they expediently acquired and reviewed Grace’s medical records from her previous veterinarian. All of the staff exceeded my expectations. I found the veterinarian to be helpful and informative while making suggestions for products relevant to my pupster’s condition. We also received a goodie bag with a substantial amount of Science Diet food, two bags of treats, a sample heartworm/tick combination pill as well as a plethora of literature.

The price, for two vaccinations, examination, and a prescription with two refills, was marginally higher than my previous vet but within a reasonable range - under $150 (The initial visit came with a $20 discount lowering the price to around $130.) Overall, I recommend this location.

I will be returning for further visits.

My cat got very sick very fast with congestive heart failure. I brought her in to the VCA at Timberlyne after her initial diagnosis at an emergency vet. The entire staff handled Daisy and I with such expertise and compassion. It was the hardest loss I’ve ever gone through and I could not have asked for a single thing to be done differently. Dr. Pott specifically provided exponential support and medical advise and treated Daisy with gentle, genuine compassion and I won’t ever forget that. Her and the rest of the staff at this location are amazing and I would recommend them to anyone.

Best vet on the planet! Love these folks. Dr. Pott is amazing. She helped us get through life and stay sane with our new Bernese Mountain Dog puppy. The entire staff is great and we wouldn't trust our fur babies with anyone else!

We had an emergency situation with our cat and our regular vet couldn't fit us in. We were able to make an appointment with Dr Pott that afternoon. Carrie, the front desk supervisor who took my panicked call, was incredibly kind and sympathetic. Our vet Dr Pott was supremely capable, cheerful, and reassuring. She took one look at our cat and correctly diagnosed the problem. She was able to perform the surgical procedure under local anesthetic and we had our beloved cat home that afternoon. She correctly predicted that he would be healing up in no time. Thank you for your care, kindness, and skill, Dr Pott, Carrie, and Timberlyne staff!

I've been there frequently recently and Dr Schultz is WONDERFUL !!!! Her vet tech nurses have been great too. They're kind and take GREAT care of my dog, Doc Holiday.
Dr Schultz did only tests and procedures that I agreed to and could afford while still discussing options and providing EXCELLENT compassionate care.
The staff are very friendly and helpful now. I cannot say enough good about Dr Schultz though!! She's warm, kind and a top notch veterinarian. My dog and I BOTH love her! We're loyal fur patient and family now!!

My fiancé took her cat to see Dr. Wendelkin for some ear issues. They had next-day availability and were able to get her into the office ahead of schedule. Dr. Wendelkin was very friendly, and was super knowledgeable about the issues facing our cat. He also called back the following week to check in, and was able to offer more advice over the phone. Super impressed, and we'll definitely come back again!

My review is specific to Dr Jason Smith. As a dog owner for over 15 years in many different locations and vets, I can say Dr Smith is the best Vet I’ve interacted with. I was dealing with end of life decisions with my senior dog, and Dr Smith was so empathetic, professional, compassionate, and wise when I was going through it. He offered some practical methods that really helped that I never would have thought of on my own. With him, it feels like he is actually a Doctor because he has the bedside manner for the pets and owners we expect from human doctors. Dr Smith also did a surgery on my new puppy and did a great job. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Smith.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking. They had a coupon on their website for a FREE first visit exam - saved $80 right there. Took my cat in and they updated his shots and checked him out for an issue I was concerned with, went over pricing with me lots and made sure I was financially comfortable with what we were doing. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly nice and friendly. They loved on my little guy just like I did. He isn’t used to vets and even got upset at one point and they handled it wonderfully. Pretty fair price from other places I have called. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Cannot praise Dr Smith & his team enough I highly recommend them. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable and always have my dogs best interests at heart. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
Sadly I recently had to made a tough decision for one of my fur babies, and they handled the situation with great compassion and were hugely supportive through the whole process, from start to finish.They still have been supportive now weeks later when my other baby had to go in for routine care.

We've brought 2 dogs and a cat here over the last 10 years and have always had excellent, compassionate service. Dr. Schultz is terrific with our current pup--gets right down on the floor with him as soon as she comes in the room. I think that willingness to get down on his level increased his trust and makes examinations easier.

I can't say enough good things about the team at VCA Timberlyne. Everyone there is wonderful to work with. They are all super friendly and truly care about the well being of all the fur babies. Dr. Schultz is amazing! She is very knowledgeable, dedicated, responsive, has a wonderful personality, loves her job, and I could go on and on. What more could you ask for in a vet? I know that when I take my animals there that Dr Schultz and her team will treat them as if they were their own and that's why I will continue to take all of my animals there. We have been using VCA Timberlyne Animal Hospital for the past two years for both of our dogs and cannot say enough great things about the entire staff. Recently, our dog Watson had not been feeling well and we had reached out to Dr. Schultz for care and advice. She listened to my concerns and acted immediately. Because of the consistent follow up of Dr. Schultz, she was able to diagnosis Watson with a life threatening condition and he was able to receive the life saving surgery he needed. Throughout this difficult time, Dr. Schultz and the entire staff at VCA Timberlyne provided love and emotional support to Watson and our entire family. There are not enough words to describe how incredibly grateful we are to each and every person at VCA Timberlyne. Without their care and love, we believe that Watson would not be with us today! We have received the best care for our pets throughout the years. From rabbits to our chihuahua we have been going to Timberlyne Animal Clinic for over 20 years. We even had to use the emergency services a few years back (not sure if it is still offered though) and it saved our dog's life. Our dog is needing more care from the vet techs and they are very helpful and friendly since we have to take her every month or so.

If you have reptiles, Dr. LaToya Schultz is going to be the love of your life. In addition to taking care of my cats and dogs, Dr. Schultz has given compassionate, attentive, above and beyond care to my snakes. When all hope seemed lost for my chronically ill python, she was reaching out to experts far and wide and suggesting new treatments based off emerging research. She answered my emails after hours, checked up on her progress regularly, and really proved that she has a genuine love for reptiles. She gave us several more months of quality life with our girl, and I will be forever thankful to her for it! We will be taking all of our animals to her for as long as she’s in practice.

Dr. Schultz and all of the vet assistants we have met with are all genuinely caring of our kittens. One of our kittens got sick before his appointment and they made sure he was seen ASAP. They are the best veterinary team I have ever worked with. We are extremely happy with them and will continue to bring our pets to VCA Timberlyne!

BEST vets I've ever gone to!! The technicians are so kind and gentle, and the vets are very knowledgeable and so good with pets. They nursed my sweet cat through her final illness and were so comforting as she passed. Everyone should take their pets here!!!
