I live a block from the Tartan Inn and know the couple running it, they are nice people.
I've been inside a few times, only on the first floor, and can say it's very nice, an easy 5 star.
The kitchen is very nice.
There is parking off the road.
Consider calling ahead to make reservations, they are kind of popular for those visiting the Sylvan Heights Bird Park here in Scotland Neck.

I rented rooms at the Tartan House for my wedding party to get ready at on my wedding day. The owners were very sweet and checked in to see if we needed anything. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. If you are visiting Sylvan Heights Bird Park down the road from here, the Tartan House is worth staying at.

Beautiful location, amazing couple that runs the inn. Bar far one of the best bed and breakfast in the US!
