Great hospital and medical staff. I would've given it 5 stars but when you're coming from a place that's 3 hours away with a small child or infant, we the mothers need to be able to bring a support person to help with the kids while we drive and while in the hospital. I held my pee for 3 hours because I had no one to watch my little one while I used the bathroom. Please change that rule. This trip was very hard.

I had this meal at the Hospital’s cafe! It was fresher than any other hospital food. I really enjoyed the honey butter biscuit! The Mac and cheese was extremely cheesy for my cheese lovers. I am not a huge fan of cheese but it was well seasoned and you can see the spices and seasonings within the mac and cheese. The mashed potatoes I could tell were whole potatoes that we’re smashed I noticed the texture was chunky and the gravy was good and flavorful. It was pretty reasonably priced and they also had a variety of other options to choose from the other hot bars and salad bar stations.

I have a complex medical history and I normally weigh about 47 pounds due to digestive issues I was admitted in May for a gi workup the drs on the gi team were fabulous it was clean several nurses were great however I left the hospital on June 4 I have a port in my right chest I recieved iv fluids etc my port was accessed incorrectly w the wrong size needle as a result I have been dealing w massive fluid buildup in my tissues my extremities are swollen three times their size as is my waist for some reason they straight cathed me and I was left w a major kidney infection. I was sent home w yeast in my stomach no treatment no follow up. Had no issues w my kidneys now I have moved and have to see a nephrologist. It's been nearly two months and I am super swollen I have been on several courses of lasix to no help. I wish this didn't happen

Wanting customers to park in the parking deck to pick up meds is absurd when pharmacist is waiting at the door with meds! All the security outside, but no one to assist patients. UNC also has some internal issues that have nothing to do with Covid, but that is their cop out now. Use to be a great hospital and my favorite place; looking for new hospital and Doctors.

Can't visit my husband after 52 days. This does not help him to recover. We been married over 40 years never not been away from him.

the emergency behavioral unit had horrible staff. they were mean and did not help at all. the night staff was no better. they messed up every single meal i had and would not let me fix it. i received no information to what was happening and overall it was horrible

This is one of the sorriest hospitals in Chapel Hill. When you check in, they have you waiting an hour to an hour in a half. That is even when you have an appointment. I choose UNC Hillsborough any day over this sorry hospital.

I an appalled that during an end of life event the care team in the TICU wouldn’t let my uncles brothers an nieces/nephews enter to say goodbye.

Literally go anywhere else. If you’re dying they definitely definitely don’t care to get to you in time so don’t waste your time.
