I'm a very picky person and this one I give 5 stars. EVERYTHING about this dentist and his staff is excellent!! Very clean. Very friendly. Takes time to explain while telling you exactly the way it is. If you follow exactly what he says to do then you will do well. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Ragas is the best dentist I've ever had in my life. I didn't even know or feel when he removed my wisdom tooth. It was painless and fast. Furthermore, he is a very kind and friendly dentist I ever met. His dental assistant, Amber, is also very nice. They made me feel warm-welcome. Finally, I know I found my dentist for my family and my friends.

⚠ WARNING (traumatized) 🥺😱
I came here because of a recommendation from my previous & highly esteemed dentist office as they no longer accept Medicaid. After hearing my experience, my previous dentist sympathized with me (not Dr. Ragas’ office) and offered to look at me this following week to ensure my gums are okay although they no longer accept my insurance and they are remorseful after having recommended their medicaid patients to this doctors office.

Long story short: I was there a total of 1.5 hour without getting my teeth cleaned not even halfway, I was spoken to in a very rude and unwelcoming way by Dr. Ragas who was performing my teeth cleaning VERY ROUGHLY🩸, and very overbooked (4 patients outside and 2 patients in each of the room with only Dr. Ragas the one to perform teeth cleanings) FYI: Despite Dr. Ragas telling me I had “tons of gingivitis”, I’ve never bled remotely like how I did today, and so I called my previous dentist who looked at my chart and the only notes are “a little plaque” which was a mere 6 months ago.

I wish you all reading this, only happy dental visits!! And pray you don’t have to experience this 😭

Long story: I called to make an appointment as a new patient and they thoroughly requested me to ask my previous dentist to send over my old X-rays to Dr. Ragas office. They were successfully sent over that day. Now the day of my appointment at 10am, I arrive at 9:30 to fill out paperwork and provide documents. Per google, their office opens at 9. Me & 2 other women are waiting to be seen as Amber, a very sweet assistant, states that the dentist usually arrives at 10am. No problem because my appointment and one other lady’s appointment is at 10am as well. It’s a small office and they do well with making it cozy with the tvs and amber welcoming you! I got into the patient room a little after 10 & Dr. Ragas came in and this was our conversation to the best of my memory:
(No warm welcoming of new patient, nice to meet you, I’m Dr. Ragas and I’ll be the one to clean your teeth today, none of these)
Dr. Ragas: “So you had your X-rays sent over here?”
Me: “Yes I did.”
Dr. Ragas: he asked me something I didn’t quite understand but I interpreted as in he was asking me what brings me in
Me: “I’m here today for my teeth cleaning”
Dr. Ragas: *very sternly, can be interpreted as an attitude by some..* “No. I’m SAYING …” I forgot the dialogue after that part because I felt taken aback
Dr. Ragas: “Okay, I see you got 4 bite wings on 10/22/20 we’ll get take 4 bite wing X-rays today. You’re overdue. It’s been a few weeks overdue.” (Bear in mind today is 10/29/21, and the accuracy of the statement isn’t what bothered me but rather the tone of his voice is what bothered me even though I still talked in an upbeat voice and he still talked to me in this manner)

Then amber proceeded to take my X-rays at 10:30am. She prepared the equipment for Dr. Ragas at this time

Dr. Ragas is going in between my room and the other lady’s room who’s appointment was also at 10am. But not shortly after my X-rays, dr. Ragas prodded my gums as a dentist normally would, however much HARSH than I ever remembered! The first few pokes led to me bleeding and he said “You’re bleeding.” After poking my top he said “Very inflamed”. After he was done with that initial check before going back into the other patient’s room, he told me this exactly in a condescending manner: “ OKAY, WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT HYGIENE. THAT’S ALL YOU NEED TO WORRY ABOUT. WE’RE GOING TO HAVE TO TALK ABOUT GOOD HYGIENE AND I’LL TRY TO CLEAN YOUR TEETH TODAY. “

He came back at 10:55am to clean my teeth before being stopped because I asked for the suction so I don’t swallow the blood and spit since he didn’t suction it out and I did it myself, but he only rubbed the tool with sandpaper and aggressively scraped my teeth and repeated this method. When expressing my concern he didn’t apologize until I mentioned turning to google as the issue wasn’t being resolved, but still cut me off and over talked me and then left mid sentence.
