Triadelphia Lake Recreation Area

Just had a walk with family in late afternoon of Sunday...nice, quiet, colorful and peaceful.

Nice and peaceful but get here early. With 2 dock ramps this place has a quite bit of traffic.

A nice quiet place to enjoy nature when you avoid busy times, but a WSSC permit is required. I heard owls doing a duet. In case you wonder where the name Triadelphia comes from, there's a sign for that!

There's carps, bass and pike, crappies and sunfish here. Though 3 weeks ago the lake was drained. You gonna have to step on mud to get to the stream to catch something.

We fish there often even though the water is low now. Last week we saw bear paw prints along the bank. No one has mentioned sitings, thought to mention here.

A beautiful place to kayak. The scenery is so pleasing! As this reservoir is a water supply source for MoCo, no gas boats are allowed; so the lake is really good for easy kayaking (no worrying about big boats and waves). My daughters, my wife and I - we all love this reservoir. This is one of our favorite hangout place for a relaxing evening.

Nice park for total family, having kids playing area, if you have kayak it is good place to do kayaking. No entry fee, maintained very well. Beautiful scenic deck with well maintained sit outs. Nice trails available along the lake. I saw few birds after sailing into middle of lake.

Nice park area. Pretty neat trail with rock outcropping. Very easy 5 minute walk to get from the trail. Playground is kinda small but it's nice. Lots of tables for picnicking overlooking the reservoir. Kinda strange road to get to the parking lot.

Really enjoyed kayaking here. The reservoir is peaceful and waters are so clean. There is no swimming. There are 2 launching sites and the north and south of the reservoir. There is parking.

Beautiful recreation area with lots of fishing spots. (make sure you have a license per requirements). Boat launches and lots of parking. Has a small playground. Lots of picnic tables and bbq lots of old trees.

Great hiking, fishing, and boating spot. Has a fun playground too. It was one of our main go to places over the summer!

Love any place I can lunch my kayak into. Great place for family.

Great place to hike. Even in very cold weather the area was like a "bowl" filled with sun warmth.
