Riverbend Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

My grandmother and great-grandmother both were able to live out the final years of their lives here. They loved it! They made friends, used the physical therapy center, and took FULL advantage of the beauty shop and activities center. They always have something going on for the residents, too, like parties for holidays and stuff like that.

Overall, they received excellent care from a great, caring, kind staff. They were well-fed and well-taken care off with whatever they needed. I would recommend Riverbend to anyone looking for a home for their loved ones!!

This is a five star facility. Staff is professional, facility is clean and residents are treated with dignity and respect. Staff was always friendly and kind!! Wonderful atmosphere!! My mother-in-law was a resident there until her transition and I’ve never had to worry whether or not she was in the right hands! Thanks Riverbend for putting the residents first and ensuring safety and care was top priority!

Our families loves riverbend. Both my grandmother and great-grandmother were residents there. They received the best care, made tons of friends and were treated like family my the staff. They really enjoyed the activities programs, parties with live music and regular appointments at the beauty shop. Administration has an open door policy and genuinely enjoys “getting to know” the residents and families. Truly feels like “home”! Highly recommend!

I WAS A RESIDENT OF RIVERBEND ROOM 304 FOR 2 WEEKS THE STAFF IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY MRS COURTNEY TOOK CARE OF ME AND OTHER RESIDENTS REALLY GOOD THE NIGHT STAFF WAS ALSO PROFESSIONAL ALONE WITH PHYSICAL THERAPY I HAVE GAINED STRENGTH AND I'M DOING BETTER.

In my 26 years as a healthcare professional I’ve never encountered a Long Term Care facility quite like Riverbend Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. In my 8 year tenure as the Director of Rehabilitation at Riverbend, I was always proud knowing that I was part of a team of individuals dedicated to providing quality care for its residents. When it comes to cleanliness, knowledge of the staff, the amazing facility itself or the comprehensive resident experience provided, Riverbend has it all. With all the uncertainty that comes with choosing the right Long Term Care facility for a family member, the leadership, integrity and welcoming nature of its Administrator is reassuring.
Although my time in healthcare is over, the fond memories of the residents and staff alike remain with me. It remains a standard of excellence and should be on anyone’s short list in need of this type of care.

After swearing most of my adult life that I would never work in a nursing home, I am now more than happy to eat my words. After many years of working in the Oil & Gas Industry and Hotel Sales Management, I finally found my home here. Riverbend truly feels like a warm and welcoming environment. I have made lifelong friends here and have weathered some pretty strong storms with this “band of brothers”. I neglected to say that I drive to Belle Chasse every day from Metairie; certainly not because I can’t find a job much closer to home, but because I love and am extremely proud of what we do every day for our residents. I have worked here for almost 19 years and hope to finish out my working career right here.

I have had a few close friends from the Metairie/Kenner area that have chosen to entrust us with the care of their family members because they felt we were the very best option when they were faced with making such a difficult decision. The feedback that I’ve gotten is how grateful they were that Riverbend gave them more quality years with their family member and how they thrived while living here. Riverbend is one recommendation that I don’t have to think twice about.

Without a doubt, one of the best nursing homes and rehabilitative centers still standing. As a former employee, I can attest to the time, energy, and efforts that have gone into creating a warm environment and comfortable residential experience. Inclusivity, themed events, wellness opportunities, enhancing resident specific ADLs, open door policy between residents and administration have allowed for building rapport and therapeutic relationships. Riverbend is the safe place for your loved one to be.

My friends and I have done the majority of my volunteer hours at Riverbend over the past several years and i look forward to spending time with the residents. The activities and parties are fun, but the best is the Family Day picnic with the snoballs, jumphouse, food and music!

This nursing home is wonderful. The place is very clean, staff are professional, and patients are well cared for. Have visited many people in that nursing home and it is always nice. Family members were well cared for.

I have personally witnessed the care that residents receive at Riverbend. Several people from my community were residents and the families praised the attention and care they received to me personally. I appreciate the focus care that they received

I made the best decision of putting my mother here it's going on one 1 come September 13...she was welcomed with open arms and warm hearts it was a lil difficult for her the first few days but as days went by she got adjusted to it... she loves the aides and nursing staff.. she got to make friends with other residents and she enjoys the activities throughout the day..it was a rough decision for me to have to put her here but it was the best choice of choosing riverbend.. A home away from home riverbend nursing and rehab.. I highly recommend this facility for love ones...

I just read the reviews after visiting the facility today and I was well received and the place was warm and inviting….. definitely a place for my grandmother.

Riverbend treated my mom like a queen. The staff and residents were all so nice and professional.

My son enjoyed working there for a bit and would tell me how courteous and professional the staff was to him and the patients.

Best ACTIVITY DEPARTMENT EVER ANJANETTE AND Shavon really enjoy the work they do and love the residents ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
