This place is just awesome, if you’re not from here, you’ll unknowingly pass by one of the best local breakfast/lunch BBQ places nearby. The food is always cooked fantastically, the portions are awesome for the price you pay and it’s worth every dollar. They order for pickup which is awesome if you’re in a pinch and need to get on your way but still have great food. They’re also pretty fast compared to most restaurants and any fast food nearby, you nearly never wait more than 10 min for you food. Plus they’re a very friendly group, I’ve never gone there and a rude person, they’re very patient and will recommend things if you’re not 100% sure what you want and they answer the phone more than most places in the area, I’m not sure if it’s a Louisiana thing to not answer the phone but they do answer and if not, they call back which amazing. They clearly know what they’re doing. 10/10

Recommend their breakfast burritos; chicken, brisket, pork, you can’t go wrong

I had to stop in to try it out. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was great. They smoke all their meats around the back. They have picnic tables to eat at under a shelter so you get the true southern experience here. They also offer a free drink if you have an open carry permit.

Turkey plate for lunch is a perfect high protein lunch. Turkey smoked to perfection, big portion and it doesn't break the bank. Love the vinegar based slaw, bit on the sweet side which I also enjoyed. And the baked beans are simple, yet right on! I've been here for breakfast a bunch, and that breakfast burrito is the best! The also do omelettes, from 6am to 9am. The owner is a huge help to the community, regularly giving food for the local sport teams and Special Olympics. Best BBQ in the New Orleans area for sure. Worth the trip to Plaquemines parish :).

How have I never eaten here?!?! Just had one of the best brisket breakfast burritos ever. The girth was perfect. The beans add sweetness that was unexpected but amazing. The brisket has a mild spice. That was amazing.

Enjoyed a brisket plate with mac and cheese and baked beans with brisket in it also ordered one jalapeno and cheese sausage all of it was super delicious and the sweet tea is great! Staff was super courteous and helpful lots of smiles. All the barbecue is cooked over wood homemade sauces also. I was super impressed they had chimichurri sauce it was the first time that I tried brisket with chimichurri and it was great!

I’m normally wary of BBQ east of the Sabine River 😜 but this place is excellent. The ribs and brisket were outstanding and their sauces were out of this world. Definitely recommend!!!

Excellent BBQ. I've had the turkey, sausage and brisket. All of them are great! They have really good breakfast burritos also.

This place is delicious and convenient. The smell of the smoker and the deliciousness of their food make you wanna go back!

Fully disclosure, I’ve only had breakfast! Both the tacos and burritos were a great value and tasted great. Of the two I’d say the tacos are the way to go. Brisket is very good as is the sausage. Easy in and out. Restroom for customers. Self service togo sauce station. Great place

Brisket was the best I have ever eaten in my life. Came with cole slaw and mack n cheese. Also the mack n cheese was amazing also.

Exactly what you would expect from a true BBQ pit. Great food, reasonable prices. I would drive out of my way to go here.

Very nice little smoke house on LA highway 23 just outside of the Naval Air Station. They have many meat choices but you better get there early because some things run out quick.

I've eaten here 4 times already and literally everything on the menu is good. Their beef sausage with cheese, jalapenos, and bacon are crazy. All three of their sides (mac n cheese, coleslaw, and beans) are good. The Top Gun (3 meats and 2 sides) filled me up.

Got the Top Gun plate with brisket, pulled pork, and chicken. Worth every penny!!! Was able to make two meals out of it. And the baked beans are delicious!

If you like pleasant surprises this is one of them.

Best BBQ on the Westbank and they know it. This hole in the wall gradually expanded to what it is now - order at the counter & wait for your food. The wait is never long even when the line is. You can eat there "picnic" style or take the food to go. There is one unisex restroom available and ample parking (though folks take liberty at how they park so it might make for an interesting experience getting in or out). The jalapeño-cheddar sausage has a mild hint with noticeable chunks of cheese & jalapeño. The ribs and brisket are both laced with heavenly smoke. The mac is creamy and the beans have a delicious sweetness. This place isn't the cheapest ($36 for two adults prior to tip), but it will fill you up and taste phenomenal.

Great barbecue some of the best around even though in the summer time it's very very hot. It might just want a dine out. Pick it up to go
