I must say their fried rice is pretty good I also had the rock and roll sushi and it was pretty fresh We actually ate it two nights in a row. The rice does look bland when you first get it but add some soy sauce and it taste like you're at hibachi. They are a bit pricey but I guess it's because of all the fancy packaging and napkins. All together this meal was $18.18

The food and service is amazing. The menu is large so it’s good to preview before you go. They have been updating the place for the last few years and it’s coming out fantastic. It’s not overly expensive but you definitely get great food for the price.

The Daiwa special roll was great. The shrimp gyoza was good too but I do wish it was seared on both sides. The miso soup is good. Avoid their clear soup at all costs- it was terrible, tasted like old fish water. Bleh. Still giving it a 5 star because I really enjoyed the sushi and the service was good.

We received such great service here. Their menu is extensive with lots of options for everyone. We tried a little Bit if everything. Our server was super friendly and accommodating. We had a bottle of the plum sake which was delicious. Definitely give this place a try.

I mainly come here for the karaoke room. It sucks that it’s only one big room now, but it’s fine. Make sure to call in advance to rsvp the room, and they require $100 deposit. It will go towards your tab which I like a lot! My favorite dishes are squid steak, chicken katsu don, supreme roll, and kimchi seafood udon. They’re sooooo good! I would like to try other dishes when I come back!!

This place was delicious. I highly recommend the squid salad and Daiwa special rolls. The portions are very generous. One large order of the special rolls is enough to fill you up without breaking the bank. Also the service is fast! It's a small place and very kid friendly. There is lots of chatter drowning out any noise your kid might make. I'll be going back very soon.

My family and I really liked the food it is fresh and tasty. There are items on the menu we have never seen before and can't wait to try. The service was good, our server was attentive and friendly.

Amazing sushi and the price is unbelievable for what you are paying for. Dinner for one meal was really dinner for two me and my best friend found out.

Great restaurant. My favorite place for sushi. Last visit they seemed to be a bit understaffed for servers, but service was satisfactory with all things considered. The crab meat salad and cowboy roll are amazing.

We went on a Sunday. They opened at 12. We were the first ones there. Service was great. Food was good. The menu is pretty big. The only issue I had was that the menu was difficult to read due to the lighting being dim and the lack of contrast between the color of the menu and the print. My old eyes couldn't read the black thin letters on the blue paper in the dark. Other than that it was a good experience. The specialty rolls were around 14 dollars but they give you lots of it pieces and they tend to be large. So good value on that. Definitely going back to try more stuff.

Daiwa is our close to home sushi spot. We love it! The sushi is so fresh and they have a pretty good selection of rolls. We also love some of the salads. Not bad prices either! Definitely not too expensive.

My husband & I have been going to this restaurant, before it changed owners. Now that the new owner MeMe owns it, I believe it has become better. MeMe cares about her customers. She goes out of her way to make them happy. My husband & I just recently had to be put on a very restrictive diet & MeMe @ Daiwa makes sure our orders are made correctly to our specifications. In today's order (which we had delivered) the chef made a mistake and MeMe made sure it was made over and she herself delivered it to our house. Now that is dedication and the way customers should be treated!!! I recommend Daiwa Japanese Restaurant in Marrero, La. 100%!!!!!

I've been coming here for years and I love it. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, they always have any live sports event going on at the time on the TVs and typically have music playing at a nice volume where it fills the air with some noise but doesn't overtake your conversation with friends. The staff is very kind, I've personally been there so much they even know me and greet me by name. I'd genuinely say it is the best sushi restaurant on the Westbank.
