Home2 Suites by Hilton - St. Louis/Forest Park

I don't normally write reviews but felt the need to write one for this one. This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed at. After a few previous not so great experiences at other hotels, this was a breath of fresh air. Angel at the front desk was super accommodating in switching my room away from the elevator for my child which was much appreciated. She has such a warm and friendly personality. Room was super spacious and very clean. The rooms were very modern and appreciated the amenities. Breakfast was good as well and the hotel seemed like it was in a safe location.

Very nice new updated fresh decor. Small pool but at least it has one! Despite being close to the highway, rooms were well insulated for sound and we never heard traffic. Decent breakfast bar included with rooms. Kitchenettes in rooms were great (microwave, dishwasher, sink and good size fridge-not just a mini fridge)

My husband and I came here to be near our children and new grandson who was at a nearby hospital. My husband went to check in and talked about the amazing check in experience. We were given a welcome bag and taken care of at every turn.
Then, we were given our very nice and clean room and no tiny bottles in our bath but instead fully stocked bathroom and kitchen. Housekeeping was in the hall and the sweet housekeeper told us to let her know if we need anything at all.
Shuttle service to hospital and restaurants was outstanding! On new years eve our driver was very helpful pointing out highlights and points of interest. Both drivers we had were super helpful. We did use our car as well but the shuttle was exceptionally easy to use! What a bonus.
The breakfast buffet on New Years Eve was amazing. Not sure if it's always this amazing but the attendant was beyond helpful and meticulous about arrangement and attention to detail. Offerings were breakfast sandwiches, keto bowls, oatmeal, boiled eggs, omelets, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, milk, juices, Starbucks coffee, a wealth of toppings (blueberries, strawberries, almonds, granola etc..), bagels, English muffins, toast. Perfect! Can I add a sixth star for service please!

This review is specifically for Kevin, I believe he is a manager at this location. **My complaint of the room quality does not pertain to him**

I stay here frequently since I work nearby for a few days at a time and he has been helpful with any hiccups. I was having trouble with my Hilton app and he was able to resolve the issue for me, more than once. He is always super friendly and helpful. The gym is also a plus- I enjoy the weights and cable machine. The gym also is a decent temperature for working out, I’ve stayed at some hotels (Double tree forest park) that keep it warm in the gyms and that just isn’t pleasant.

3/10/24 edit: I had been staying here for a few nights during the week while working and the rooms were good for the first couple weeks. Recently, my last stay was 2/23/24, rooms were not great at all. Kevin did great moving me from the first room that smelled of old, cheap beer, which I found spilled in the fridge and shower. He was not there the next morning for me to let him know about the replacement room. The replacement room was good at first but the room smelled of old cat pee and just did not feel clean once getting moved into the room. There was an old/empty air freshener in the room so I am sure that at some point, someone was aware of the smell. For the nightly price of $130+, I would expect the rooms to be clean and up to standard for someone staying in a home away from home.

Location-great for working at BJC.
Service- great, they validated and addressed my concerns.
Gym-great equipment ( I think someone stole the 10lbs dumbbells though so bring your own if you want less than 15lbs).
Parking-free parking (definitely one of the things that sold me because parking near BJC is so expensive everywhere) and my car was secure/didn't get broken into.
Cleanliness- needs improvement. Rooms don't feel clean, they feel like someone rushed, maybe if short staff (can definitely relate) they are just trying to check the boxes but not taking the time to make sure it is being done right/thoroughly-take the extra step to make sure it is done right. After long shifts, the last thing I want to is to feel like I am sleeping in a dirty room :(

As a Hilton honors member, I am so sad because I wanted to make home2suites my second home for my contract but for the quality + price, I just can't.

It's conveniently located by the highway I 64, with Washington University Medical center and several hospitality nearby. The neighborhood is very nice and safe, so you could take a walk or jogging around the hotel.

Great experience! Chastity got us checked in and made us feel welcomed from the start. She gave us recommendations for things to do, dinner, and drinks!!! The room was nice and clean, seemed recently remodeled…. we will be staying here again because of the excellent customer service from our new friend chastity and the team!!!

I enjoyed my stay at home 2 suites in St. Louis/forest park. The excellent customer service I received from Chasity was phenomenal. She provided great recommendations as this was my first time in St. Louis and had a blast. I highly recommend this location of your in town.

Angel at the front desk was my angel! She went above and beyond with great service and a huge heart! Angel is a top tier employee and the Hilton should give her a raise!

Very nice rooms and the employees were fantastic, we got a flat tire and one of the employees literally came out and helped us change the tire.

After a long trip, At check in, Jewelene was friendly and professional. She made us feel warm and cozy, just like home!

Honestly, I'm written this review because I've met the most wonderful person who works here. Cournae is a super helpful, responsive and caring person that my stay (for work, away fromy family) so lovely. I had some questions and needed help with some things and she was very helpful and gracious about it! It literally felt like staying at the friends house (in a good way) because of her. Whenever I come back to town I'm definitely staying here and hoping to see her again!
Overall a very nice hotel especially if you're looking for a longer term stay. My room had dishes and a dishwasher in it.

It was a little expensive but we booked on short notice so I'm hoping that was the reason why it was so expensive! Breakfast was great, the room was great, and the hospitality was good.

We got to the hotel very late due to a bad storm, after 11hrs drive we got to the hotel & found out our room was given away. Courtney in the front desk helped us get situated for the night by putting us in 2 rooms, then in AM Kevin the manager made up for the inconvenience by putting my family in 2 rooms very close to each other. We didn't get charged for the extra room throughout the duration of our stay which is 5 nights and 4 days. Thank you Kevin and Courtney for going above and beyond to make our stay good and comfortable and enjoyable. We appreciate you both. Also, I'd like to mention rooms of improvement the hotel might want to consider. The bath towels are stained and some looks old, the pillows goes flat after you lay on it, also has sweaty smell. The pillow cases looks old and yellowish as well. Hope these issues gets resolve in the future.

Loved the location. Really diverse neighborhood that was close to all the touristy things.
Rooms were clean. Breakfast had plenty of options for a family of 5.

I would stay here again anytime I am in St. Louis. Convenient location to everything. Staff was fantastically friendly & helpful. Breakfast was much better than the average free hotel Breakfast. Premium suite was roomy and well equipped. Decor of hotel was modern and comfortable. I witnessed staff going out of their way to accommodate guests' needs. In a world where it is a challenge to get good service, it was incredibly refreshing! A+

Downtown location near Washington University.. hotel is absolutely wonderful, gated parking (very safe), comfortable beds, in room refrigerator, sink, all the necessities for a home away from home!!! Wonderful assortment of breakfast foods, courteous staff... 10+

The entire staff we had contact with was super friendly and helpful every time. The breakfast staff was on top of it! Charlene in particular was fantastic! She was helpful, super funny, kind, and always making sure everyone was taken care of. She went above and beyond to help others, even the kid that thought sausage gravy was oatmeal. Everything was very clean and our room was nice. I’d definitely stay here again.

Staff was great, bed pillows were amazing … I always hate my hotel pillows, these were the best ever! Side note, I think it’s weird they don’t decorate the hotel hardly at all … every wall in the place is bare. Not sure what’s worse tho horrible Hampton Inn framed photos everywhere or empty walls… 😊

Really clean and nice rooms! The breakfast was surprisingly good, a lot of options and healthy options available. Great setup in the gym and staff was friendly and helpful! Recommend and would stay here again!

Very good hotel … I like the kitchen and room service every alternative days…
