I purchased takeout from this restaurant for the first time today. I had the dark meat baked chicken with cabbage and brunswick stew. I am very picky especially with the way things are seasoned. Everything was great. The chicken was so tender and juicy, sides were good and the plain cornbread was tasty. I also got the pulled pork with creamed corn and cabbage for my husband. His meal was great as well. Prices are good especially for the portion of food that you get. I can't wait to go back and try the oxtails and Seafood!

Ordered the broil and the taste was amazing! Also tasted the crab cake and hush puppies and Mac & cheese. Everything was great! Would recommend! The place smelled great since they had a candle on and the bathrooms were really clean! 10/10

OMG………….. !!!!! The food was so delicious!!! Was visiting in a town nearby (about 20 mins drive) and had a taste for some Soul Food. When I tell you this joint hit the spot ———— I Ain’t Lying! lol Because I lived about 30 minutes drive away, I ordered two plates (was able to make 3+ meals from them). I ordered oxtails over rice, collard greens, mac n cheese on one plate and baked chicken, creamed corn, and collard greens on the other. The plates also came with corn bread. For dessert, I ordered some peach cobbler! Going to try & make it a thing and take that 30 minutes drive one weekend out of the month to indulge in this treasure of a place. Well worth it!

Decided when we passed this was a few days ago that we would stop on the way back. Will not be a single visit!! We absolutely loved it. I went high carb but my friend and I shared each other's sides. Hands down the best I've had! It was literally melt off the bone and we'll seasoned. Didn't grab one condiment, salt or pepper. Tracy (husband/owner) very meekly came out to ask how everything was. Very sweet and loved the humbleness in his demeanor. After we mentioned how wonderful the food was he got a magazine and brought it to us. It had a two page article on the restaurant and his lovely wife. First page being a full page picture of her in her chef's coat. Thank you for treating us like family, or better lol.

What I really enjoyed about this place (aside from how good the food tasted) is how easy it was. You’ve got the food behind the glass; you pick a meat and two sides; cornbread is included. It’s a simple process with a delicious outcome, and you know as soon as you walk in that the restaurant is a local favorite and a place where a lot of love and attention are put every day. It was a truly local place and a great plate of food.

The Best food. and the desserts are heavenly...Staff down to earth and friendly..Great portions..Will definitely be going back!!!

Saw the Facebook video about the wings and had to go get mine. Quality, service and Food was superior, I knew it would be. And the owners are THE BEST (Yeah, I'm kinda biased...my family). Don't forget, they provide catering as well!

Omg I've been here twice so far. First time I did breakfast, biscuit, gravy, and scrambled eggs. I did their sausage gravy it was amazing! I'll definitely be back for breakfast. Then yesterday my wife decides let's try it for a late lunch. I got the Oxtail on rice with cream corn, sweet potato casserole, cornbread, and ther best peach cobbler we have ever had!!! That Oxtail was phenomenal!!! The corn, delish the sweet potato casserole wonderful!!! I can't wait to go back again!!!

Such a fantastic place. Food was out of this world, made by the absolute nicest people. I’m pedaling down the Eastern seaboard and these folks not only fed me… they contributed by giving us cash to buy water along the trip. It was unreal! Southern hospitality is alive and well here at Southern Kafe.

The excellent southern style foods were great! Very tasty and seasoned perfectly, I had the fried chicken, sweet potatoes, and Mac and cheese and everything was perfect. It's a great spot for a great meal. The portions were good and the price was reasonable. I'll be going back and recommend to anybody that hasn't given them a try, to do so. You won't be disappointed.

Went for a second time to see if our first visit was a fluke. It wasn't !! The food is true southern cooking at its best. The fried fish was fresh and delicious as was the fried chicken. The collard greens ... good, okra.... good, Mac & cheese... awesome. All the desserts looked wonderful however we didn't have enough room to try them. The atmosphere is no thrills but the food certainly makes up for it. I highly recommend dining here.

I ordered Sunday dinner from this place a week ago. Everything was excellent, I'm definitely going to return!!

For the high amounts and quality of food, the prices were amazing. The food was fresh and delicious!

The place feels like family. You can taste the love in the food. The atmosphere reminds me of the halls we used to rent out for family weddings/reunion.

Absolutely a great place to dine. The food is some of the best you will ever eat. The owner/chef/wife cooks her food with love and from her heart; this is obvious by the delicious outcome. The entire staff is friendly and ready to please. They make you feel at home. I personally love the catfish, yummy! Please stop by; you will not regret it! Oh, if am proud to say I worked with the owner/husband for 18 years prior to him marrying the beautiful lady and beginning a business together. Great people.

I’ve been there over 100 times, never did the seafood but the chicken, meatloaf, hamburger steak,pull pork and ribs are all good along with sides and I love their peach cobbler. Always enough for leftovers nuff said

I love coming here the food is awesome. My husband loves the salmon patties.

Fantastic food! Fried chicken, turkey wings, broiled chicken, macaroni and cheese, and especially the peach cobbler. Even the tea is good. Oh! They even have seafood at certain times.

Stopped by today for our first time and it will not be our last. Everything looked so good, it was hard to choose what we wanted to eat. We’ll definitely be going back for breakfast soon as that menu looks good as well! The bill for a family of 5 was pretty decent and you definitely get well over your monies worth.
