Sun & Sea Pharmacy

I can't recommend the Sun & Sea Pharmacy on Tamiami Trail in Venice, FL enough! I'm now paying 50% less on my prescription. Here's the story. Once I got Medicare Advantage, my migraine meds copay went from $5, 10 or $15.. to an unbelievable $80 at the lowest (and usually listed as costing up to $160). I spent so much time researching how to lower my cost. I tried GoodRX, WellRX, Single Pay, Amazon, even a drugstore in Canada. I even got my carrier to put my meds on formulary! It was still crazy expensive. Someone recommended I go see Richard & Kacey, owners of Sun & Sea Pharmacy. They formerly worked at Publix and Walgreens in the pharmacy so they're very experienced. My copay is now $40 something, half the cost! They are not only wonderfully compassionate people, they live in this community and care about the community. How do they cut prices? They shop around for distributors when getting our medications so their customers pay less. Every time I walk into this mom-and-pop type pharmacy there are people milling around talking and laughing, many just stopping by to visit. That says a lot. I hope this helps you, especially if you're a senior struggling to pay for expensive medications. Tell 'em you read Barbara's review! :)

My husband and I absolutely love this pharmacy! My prescriptions are always filled on time or early. They have even offered to come in on a Saturday for me to pick up a medicine because I couldn't get to them before they closed. Rich and his wife are always so pleasant and willing to answer any questions regarding medications. I wouldn't go anywhere else! They are the best!

Rich and Kacey are fantastic. Their customer service is fantastic. We are so happy that we switched to a local business!

I just changed from Walmart to Sun & Sea pharmacy. I spoke with them about my situation of delays/shortages I have been made aware of by my current pharmacy. They explained the entire process and how that was happening, and I thanked them for educating me. I have happily switched from Walmart Pharmacy to Sun and Sea Pharmacy and look forward to a long term relationship. It’s really nice when you can call and you’re not rushed off the phone and you can tell that someone cares. In my experience, I am just super happy that they pick up the phone. The customer service is better than any pharmacy I have ever used!

This pharmacy is the hidden gem of South Venice! Compared to the service you receive at big box stores you will wonder why you didn’t change pharmacies sooner. Friendly service, fast response times, and great customer care.

Very helpful and kind people. My prescriptions were less expensive not using insurance and he let me know it. We no longer live in Venice but I will continue to use them. Much better than the corporate stores. Glad my doctor recommended them.

Stopped by for the 1st time to get a Compounded prescription from my mother's foot doctor.
I was greeted warmly by Rich who then proceeded to answer all my questions professionally and with a smile.

This is the best pharmacy ever! You don't have to deal with the conglomerates who only care about the money! You deal directly with the people who own the pharmacy and they are fantastic! They order my refills for me so I don't have to worry about that and pricing is less than what I paid at Walgreens and CVS! I only wish I would have known about them sooner!

If you want a pharmacy (and pharmacists) that remember your name, are patient, happy to answer questions, answer their phone when you call, and all in all treat you like family, then this is the place for you. Out of selfishness I am always hesitant to give one of my favorite places a high rating or review in fear that it may get far busier, but this place deserves every star I gave it.

Sun & Sea Pharmacy absolutely cares about knowing me. Kacey & Rich also make certain that I know how to use my prescription. I was so grateful when they mentioned that it would be less expensive to NOT use my insurance (something my prior pharmacy had never mentioned). I highly recommend this sweet family pharmacy to everyone I know because I know that my friends and family will receive the most personal service possible from the pharmacy that cares.

I can't say enough great things about Sun & Sea! Rich and Kacey have made getting my family's meds so much easier! Here are a few reasons that I love my neighborhood pharmacy Sun & Sea - 1. My daughter has a gluten allergy, they make sure that every medication that she gets is safe for her - 2. We own a small business so our prescription plan is not very good - they check for the best pricing (most of the time the costs are lower without insurance), 3. I am greeted with a smile, my name and a short wait! Prior to Sun & Sea I was with a big pharmacy- none of these things were true of them!! Thanks for moving into my neighborhood!!

This pharmacy is a hidden gem of Venice. With all of the franchise pharmacies popping up around town who take forever and are impersonal, why not go to one that knows you when you walk in? There's never any wait and they will always go the extra mile for their customers. They will price match and take just about any insurance.

I am so thankful that I found Sun & Sea Pharmacy. I had some medical issues and was getting different medications weekly and they did not disappoint. They had my medicine ready earlier than expected and were always informative about the medication.

I will not go anywhere else!

Shout out to Rich the pharmacist for excellent customer service in a difficult situation. Coming from Urgent Care with my Mom, Rx needed to be filled. Since I work, I didn't have the luxury of time to wait around at Publix, Walgreens or CVS for the Rx to be filled.
I called Rich, right from Urgent Care office, provided Mom's info to get her onboarded in his system. I arrived at the pharmacy, handed him the Rx and out the door I went in less than 10 minutes. Prices are very competitive, and the Customer Service can't be beat!
It is wonderful to have a hometown pharmacy, with Customer Care as the priority. I urge you to stop in to see Rich or Kacey with your Rx for comparison. Let's support our Local Businesses.

Rich and his wife, Kacey, are awesome. There is never any rush, and you really feel like you are getting personal attention and service. It is more like an old-fashioned pharmacy; way better than the larger chain stores.
