One of our favorite stops in the city! The owner, Hank, is a great guy and definitely worth talking to. Fantastic selection of drinks, including mead. Cozy spot with good ambience.

Great beer and wine selection. Nice play to sit outside and people watch as it's right on the main pedestrian walkway in the heart of the historic district. The Sangria was also very nice.

The owner was super friendly and seemed to know his stuff when dealing with others. He let me strum his guitar from Brazil which seems random but stuck with me. Maybe it's the extremely personal feel of the shop, but it felt so homey. Like this is a personal bar with trinkets he likes and can randomly open it to the public. It just felt comforting. I hope to be back soon. It seemed to be the most authentic spot on St George St. It wasn't a bar with a crew of employees, but a bar that this guy wants to own and operate just because he can. It's easily one of the highlights of my trip.

A must stop when visiting Saint Augustine. You can buy a selection of beer here. They also offer grog, sangria, and wine. You can purchase package beer to go as well. A great place to come and watch the activity on St George Street. Unfortunately, I believe this business has been sold and will be undergoing an extensive renovation into a rum bar. I wish all the best to the previous and incoming owners.

A very cozy and very intimate place. The owner has some really good beer and wine. A very interesting selection. A place for great conversation not only with the owner but with other guest that come for a place to relax and take a load off. This is a definite a place to stop. A place with lots of history and it makes sense to be in the oldest city in the nation. I loved it

Hank was awesome! His knowledge of beer is staggering. I thought I knew what I wanted, but Hank knew better. I asked for a very specific type of beer. Hank asked maybe two questions about my preferences and told me I don't want the beer I asked for. He told me to drink this other beer. It was the best beer I'd had in years. I wish we discovered this place sooner!

Great house-made sangria and world-class service! Great selection of beers and wines. If you want good sangria (that isn't diluted with juices and sugar) in St. Augustine this is the spot!

This hole in the wall wine shop and bar offered a huge variety of craft beer, mead, and wine. We spent over an hour with a couple bottles of mead and interesting conversation with Hank, the propritor/barman. It's a quiet cubby in the midst of a busy touristy pedestrian street that includes four bar stools at the bar and a separate table. If you find yourself looking for a reprieve from the busy tourist alleys, pop into The Monk's Vineyard and enjoy the environment and spirits.

My fav place to go in chill out and talk to locals and visitors. Its not a perfectly cleaned up spot but wouldn't want it any other way. A bit haunted looking. Vibe is laid back. Owner is also. They sell wines and diff beers to go as well as sit back get off your feet and chill..

Never a dull moment, with cordial clientele who apparently are old friends with the bartender. Sit and have a chat over a sangria or beer, and be part of the unpretentious and "untouristy" place that's probably noneexistent on St. Geroge. You'll probably understand very quickly why people are repeat customers (or completely turned off, probably). It was initidating at first (to us), because it wasn't like a "regular" bar, not a lot of tables, no "designer" decor, and strangely that the customers were the ones eagerly greeting us. We sat at the tiny bar with a sangria and grog, and had met lively people with intersting stories. I thought it was the most friendly, genuine and memorable experience out of my two day visit to St. Augustine. It saddens me to learn that it is being sold, and it probably won't be here much longer.

If you are looking for that canned tourist experience, move on. If you define quality as absence of variation, then by all means, head for the strip mall where you can be fulfilled at Chilli's. If instead, you are looking for interesting people and interesting conversation that varies with each visit, coupled with a proprietor who knows his wine and beer and stocks a small but excellent inventory, then stop in and be delighted.

If you visit Historic St Agustine and you are into specialty , rare meads, beers or want to taste the best Sangria, this is the place to visit. Small place, unique place. Good place to hang out away from the crowds.

The Monk's Vinyard is my reason to go to St. Augustine. The owner, Hank, makes incredible drinks and always offers engaging conversation. Try the pirates grog.

While hundreds of people pass you by on st George street this is a great place to get out of the crowd and enjoy craft beer or top notch quality wines I’m a local to st augustine and I can assure you nothing compares to this quite calm quirky ora if you’ve been searching for that one beer you can’t seem to definitely give this place a try and enjoy the old town atmosphere
