Beachcomber In Venice

We had a great time here at Beachcomber! Very nice neighborhood. Staying on a private beach is awesome! Clean, safe place! Our unit (20) has its own balcony which we could watch the sunsets from!! Things that would've made it an even better stay...more washcloths without having to do a load of laundry and a more comfortable bed.

Very impressive on how clean our room was. We stayed in room 20. We have been coming down here for years and Since Barry has taken over the property I find the Beachcomber to be well maintained and whoever she has cleaning the rooms, they are awesome. Not any sand or dirt is visible in the window tracks or the slider door track. Our patio chairs even looked like they were wiped down and cleaned. The beautiful landscaping is tropical and there are no weeds growing up around the plants or through the rocks. The view of the water and the sunsets is breathtaking. We always find sharks teeth. Plenty of community use items such as grills, chairs, umbrellas floaties for the pool.
The workers here take pride in keeping this beautiful and I appreciate everyone of you.

The location was perfect & right on the beach. The room we stayed in, unit 2, was perfect for the 2 of us. Mother & daughter. Clean & just enough space with a great kitchen.
Only 1 downside was the pull out sofa mattress was so thin I felt like I was sleeping on the frame. Other than that everything was great. They even have a community room that you can borrow books, games & Movies.

This was our first time at the Beachcomber and we were very pleased! Upon arrival, there were a few housekeeping issues that we reported right away. All issues were cleared up within 30 minutes. The following morning, our Kuerig didn’t work, and maintenance showed up with a replacement. Later, that evening, he came back to make sure all was ok with the new one. If you’re looking for fancy, with lots of amenities, you’re not going to find it here. If you’re looking for clean, charming, friendly (staff & guests!) quiet, peaceful, beautiful views, non-crowded beach, this place is PERFECT! We are usually “on the go”, finding things to do throughout the day, but found ourselves perfectly content walking on the beach or just sitting by, or floating in, the gulf, or the pool.

A little slice of paradise right on the beach! Cozy and affordable with all the amenities you could want. Minutes away from great food. Just steps away from the pool or the gulf of Mexico! Maintenance fixed our ac problem the same day too!

Great location in quiet neighborhood. Uncrowded beach, search for shark teeth or just relax. Pool is just outside your room and great for floating. Watch gorgeous sunsets from right outside your room. Wonderful place with great friendly staff.

Increasing rating to 5 stars. Condos have been updated. Super nice! Wi-fi is great, Super happy with Beachcomber!

Nice condos. Price is competitive. The condos do need updated and small repairs made.
Stayed in Unit 10.
Some of the outlets need to be updated to the 3 prong, as most laptops use the 3 prong outlets.
The WIFI is VERY slow and needs to be upgraded something fierce.
The walk to the beach is a nice short walk and the beach is never crowded.
It is usually quiet here and the staff is very friendly and will try to make your stay an enjoyable one.
The Pool is very nice and maintained.
The screened in porch on Unit 10 is super nice and is enjoyable during the day and in the evenings.
The pavilion is a great place to sit in the evening while grilling dinner.
We have been coming here every year for 5 or 6 years and really enjoy it. We will continue to stay here when we come for vacation, as the Beachcomber is a nice place.
Would easily be 5 stars if the WIFI were upgraded along with a few condo upgrades.
Overall, Beachcomber is enjoyable and I would recommend staying here.

We fell in love with the Beachcomber and all it stands for. Great people, great rooms, great area, great views, all GREAT!
Maureen is awesome and so easy to communicate with, she makes it such a wonderful place along with everything they have to offer. If you like fancy, modern, ritzy, etc, then you DO NOT need to stay here. Please leave it for us to enjoy just the way it is!!

We were so thrilled with our stay at the Beachcomber! The one bedroom unit was perfect. We enjoyed staying right on the beach. Great location. Everything was well kept. We can't wait to return!

Just enjoyed another relaxing holiday weekend at the Beachcomber with my family and friends. The property is well maintained. All of the rooms are clean and neat and include a well supplied kitchen. The management and staff are friendly and very accommodating to their guests needs. We can't wait to go back there again! We already have reservations for two more visits next year.

We recently spent a week at the Beachcomber in Venice Beach, it was our second visit. This is the only hotel situated directly on the beach in Venice and the sunsets are spectacular. Our room was very much like a small apartment with a full kitchen, sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. The Beachcomber has an authentic Vintage Florida vibe that I love. The manager was very friendly and helpful. We will be back!

Visiting family and the place is always a pleasure to visit and stay at! I once checked out and realized when I got home that I had left my gold ring behind on the night stand called the hotel and to my surprise and delight Maureen called me to tell me she go found it!! I had it on my finger 2days later!

Have stayed at the Beachcomber for several years now. Maureen is fantastic to work with. Our room is always clean and perfect for the beach. The beachfront access is excellent and lack if commercialism is just what we like about "Old Florida".

Unit 13 for BEST VIEW! :) It was so relaxing and the PERFECT location. You could walk right to the beach from your room! Everyone was super friendly. The pool makes for a great addition. I loved waking up to my beach view everyday! I would recommend this to anyone! 10/10

My family and I have been visiting the Beachcomber for 39 years. We come 2 or 3 times every year. Needless to say we love it! This is a family place, not necessarily the place for you if you want to stay up all night and get drunk. Sea turtles come ashore and lay their eggs along the beach here during their season, THIS is why there is a lights out rule every night! The lights at night confuse the turtles trying to come on shore to lay their eggs. MY family and I are more than happy to oblige. We make our reservations a year in advance to ensure we can come, and I assure you, if the pillows stunk We would not continue to visit! Over the years I have seen improvements made to all of the rooms as well as the grounds on an annual basis. New paint, appliances, bathroom upgrades and the pool have all been renovated. I will admit that years ago when people were allowed to smoke it was off putting but now smoking is not allowed in the public areas or in the rooms. I am a native Floridian and a professional, I have visited many beachfront resorts, hotels and spas along Florida's coastline for both business and pleasure and this is the place I choose to keep coming back to. This is like a second home for myself, my three children and my parents. The bad reviews make me sad, however it means less competition on the 4th of July when we want to visit! 😉

Best Hotel ever if you want to totally relax and enjoy the beach. Very quiet. Very clean. It is by far our very favorite vacation spot.

This gem has been the secret destination for a few select families for up to 3 generations. Built in the 60's as a motel on the beach, within walking distance to downtown Venice, it went condo in the early 70's. 18 rental units on 2 stories are individually owned and decorated. Many people select their favorite unit and return around the same time year after year. This results in a super-friendly atmosphere because vacationers develop friendships that last for years. For many, the Beachcomber in Venice is a family tradition. If you can find a spot - grab it !!!

Cute place. Old Florida feel right on the beach. Stroll thru the sea oats and talk grass and make your way to the beach. It was only occupied by those on the lodging.

A lovely location. My in-laws were owners from 1962 to 1984; it still has all the charm of years ago.
