Nice on the edge of the town restaurant with great seating options inside and out. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly and attentive. We ate on a Sunday night and a lot less people in town. We really enjoyed all the food. Recommend the escargots and roasted chicken dish. The Chocolate lava cake was a nice finish to the meal.

An authentic French experience in the heart of downtown. We have only great things to say about this spot! The duck confit and risotto were excellent and the beef bourguignon was so rich and full of flavor. The staff were so knowledgeable and passionate about the wine and the selection of wines are just incredible!! Thanks for this wonderful experience, we can’t wait to come back.

The evening was phenomenal. A party of 4, we started with a charcuterie board with three amazing cheeses and meats. Next, foi Gras and escargot: also amazing. Our shared entry was the mushroom risotto and beef bourguignon: delicious. We finished with coffee and creme Brule. Of course there was some terrific wine in the mix. Additionally, the staff was cheerful and friendly. We will definitely be going back to this restaurant.

Wow, wow, wow!! This place has terrific food, excellent service, and top-notch attention to detail. We saw the reviews and knew we needed to try it. We came at 4 pm and sat down quickly, and the service was prompt and attentive.

We had escargot, a cheese plate with duck, and Boeuf Bourguignon, which were all tasty and flavorful. Don't forget dessert, the creme brulee.

Our waiter was friendly, and you couldn’t help believing he enjoyed his job.

If you’re in the area, check this place out, but if you come after 5 pm, be prepared to wait. But it's worth it for sure.

Very cute French bistro. We had the Arugulla and beet salad with goats cheese, amazing scallops and duck confit. The setting was intimate, clean and charming. The food was amazing!

I can only speak to the desserts but the creme brulee and some Sunday volcano cake were both great. I also had a lovely Malbec. The bartender was nice and helpful. The inside and outside were cute and matched the area perfectly. Enjoyed it a lot. I even bought a Tshirt which I never do.

Could not ask for a better anniversary dinner. The wine, service, and food was fantastic! The company wasn’t bad either. The food was flavorful but not over seasoned. Wine and ambiance was paired beautifully. The owner has a very interesting culinary history and unique story. Apologies for the partially eaten risotto phot but it was so good I couldn’t help it! Will absolutely be back!

Food was great with a quaint atmosphere. Ordered French onion soup, sea bass, beef bouginage and creme brulee. All were delicious. Owner is very personable, with a good story behind the name.

Drunken Horse is now on my quarterly rotation in Saint Augustine, FL. The atmosphere is casual and cozy. The service is welcoming and genuine. The food is fantastic, not overly French but with the small kitchen flavor. Flat Bread was great, beet salad amazing, main courses beautifully designed with a flavor to match! Desert was worth it. Overall price to flavor is on point. Definitely a hidden gem off the strip! 10/10 recommended.

Love love love this place! From the minute we were seated, our server, James was on it and he was fantastic. He was polite, enthusiastic about the quality of the food and certainly entertaining.
We started with the escargot, which James assured were the best in Florida and we were not disappointed. Onto some Flatbread Provencale which may have been even better than the escargot. Our mains were the duck confit and the beef. Both were fantastic and perfect portions. James talked us into the creme brulee for dessert and were super happy we tried it.
Drunken Horse is a hidden gem and we will definitely be back asap. Thank you for an outstanding experience!

Amazing food, wine, service, and atmosphere! Great selection of French wines here and our server (he may have been the owner?) was so knowledgeable. Get the cheese plate (with duck mousse) and the duck! The mushroom risotto was lovely as well.

AMAZING! 100 out of 10! it’s such a cute and cozy atmosphere, everyone was so attentive, and that wasn’t even the best part…the food was. everything we ordered was DELICIOUS! we started with the french soup, and it was probably the best we’ve had in Florida, we ordered the tarte flambee alsacienne flatbread as an app and let me tell you it was the perfect crunch, with a slight sweetness from the caramelized onions, saltiness from the bacon and creaminess from the fromage blanc, and for the main course we had the boeuf bourguignon, I didn’t even need a knife to cut it, the beef fell apart in my mouth, the potatoes and carrots were so tender and I understood why the brought out bread on the side, it was to have something to dip and absorb all the wine sauce it was cooked in to savor every bit of it. after that we were too stuffed for dessert, we walked around and saw the lights, but once the food went down we went back for the crème brûlée, boy do I regret not taking one for the road. at least we ordered separate ones, I don’t think I would have been able to share. needles to say we will be returning very soon!!!

Wow oh WOW!!
DELICIOUS!
AMAZING SERVICE!!
So my husband and I called the previous night to visit this restaurant. The gentleman that answered my call was very kind and such wonderful customer service. So we had to try it for sure. Of course we went for dinner the next day and we did not look at the menu or prices. So we were a bit shocked on the prices because is more than what we normally pay for and is within our budget. But once we were sitting we decided to stay plus it was our 26 yr anniversary.
We have been spoiled for sure.
Every bite we took was scrumptious and so enjoyable. We ordered for appetizer the pan seared scallops that came with a delicious sauce. They melted in our mouths and were so tender. My husband ordered the pan seared sea bass and it was cooked to perfection and the bed of carrots were so tender and flavorful. I ordered the sautéed shrimp with a side of salad and bread. By far THE BEST shrimp I have ever had. Cooked with a wonderful sauce that is loved soaking the bread in it and the shrimp were so soft and tasty. The salad was also perfectly made. Is clear that all of their foods are fresh and high quality. This restaurant does not cut corners and their food is totally worth the cost. One of the BEST crème brûlée I have ever tried, the Brandi infused raisins was a great touch.
We received wonderful service. Our waitress name was Amanda. If you are thinking of visiting here I highly recommend her as your waitress. She was so sweet and attentive. Also very friendly and welcoming.

Excellent food and they do not take reservations, so you wanna eat you gotta walk up. The shrimp had just the right amount of pepper. It's a foodie place that's for sure. And the beet salad? Awesome...the tomato salad? Awesome. Everything just tasted clean and fresh.

This was our first night in St A. Definitely one of the best dinners we had. The salmon was buttery and perfectly flaky, sea bass was flavorful, not too fishy, cooked thoroughly and came out at a great temperature. The tomato burrata salad is an appetizer must have.
The servers were so kind and helpful in deciding what to order. Will be back!

This restaurant is a gem, that exceeded all expectations. The food was wonderful. The service impeccable. The wine selection was excellent and the setting outstanding. A slice of old Europe. We’ll be back….maybe later this week!

Wow!! I am maybe biased with French heritage but, wow!! Our server was so sweet and attentive to my needs to my allergies. Food brought healing to my French soul. So good. Amazing experience overall. Wished it was a little bit warmer to enjoy the front or back outdoor gardens. Food 10/10

Very good French food in a small cozy place. Good service, always ready to serve you. A lot of wines to choose from. A little expensive but is worth it because of the quality on every plate. The beef stew was really good and the salmon was amazing. Recommended!
