The complex includes a beautiful courtyard and different exhibits in multiple buildings. Very enjoyable tour led by knowledgeable and friendly guides. It amazes me how sometimes you pay so little for such enriching, entertaining experiences.

A complex of several buildings, each with a unique story. The Tovar House contains what is essentially a local museum. The Gonzalez house is set out in very early form and furniture. There is a building with a focus on maps, and another with a surfing museum! An attractive place and exhibits attractively displayed. Small shop at ticket office. Rest rooms.

We LOVED this place! There is a no touch policy on the displays (totally understandable) so kids have to be watched closely, but TOTALLY worth it. This place is beautiful and it's so interesting. My 4 year old stayed enthralled through about 95% of it and that's rare for him. My 8 year old loved all of it and wanted to move in. It's beautiful and wasn't crowded when everything else was. The tour guide was very informative and was very nice! We'll be back and definitely recommend! ALSO, super cheap admission!!!

The oldest house in America's oldest city. Came here on Memorial Day. Took in some interesting history. Wish I could have stayed a little longer and looked more carefully at the exhibits, but my parking was expiring and I had a good walk back to the Castillo, and so I breezed through in about fifteen minutes. Still took in some great history (the map exhibit is really cool and interesting) and would highly recommend to anyone.

Oldest house in St. Augustine. If you are a history buff this place should.be included on your list while in St. Augustine. The tour guide here was amazing she really knew her stuff. This should be a spot you visit while.i. town. The houses history is very cool and the dwelling is furnished with different period items. They also have a nice little museum and gift shop. A hidden gem in the city.

My wife and I always appreciate the history associated with St Augustine. The oldest house Museum was great experience with knowledgeable staff. I’ve been by this house multiple times but never went in to explore. Glad I decided to because it was a great experience. The tour was not long either so it won’t mess up any other plans you have for the day either. Bring water with you as certain parts of the house can be warm due to amount of people or time of day but as I said the tour is not too long. Would recommend this place for families or couples.

Interesting tour, great tour guides. You will learn about the construction of the home, the residents and the town. Plan about 30 to 45 minutes for this stop. Adult price is $10. Restroom facilities are clean. Next time your in town check this place out.

So neat to see history from the 1700's. They have done very well on the preservation and a neat little museum. It will take you back in time

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff brought to life the long history of this centuries-old house. In addition to the house itself, we enjoyed exploring their small museum of the house's history, a life-sized replica of a typical kitchen structure, statuary art from the 1893 Columbian Expo, a second museum with large reproductions of numerous ancient maps and navigational tools, and a gift shop. It did become uncomfortably warm inside the house because they had the windows closed, which otherwise would have served to cool the house back in the day by allowing the ocean breeze to flow through the second floor of the house. A portable air conditioner unfortunately did nothing except provide a loud background noise, making it more difficult to hear the tour guide's fascinating accounts.

Beautiful old home that is well maintained to preserve its history. Lovely grounds and courtyard surrounding the home is also used for weddings. Small gift shop on site.

This place was especially fun for my family and I to visit since we have the same last name. We walked in like we used to own the place only to find out the name is not what it seems. Everything about this museum is deceiving and that’s what makes it so interesting. The tour is self guided but there are people on site to help you. If you ask a lot of questions you will enjoy the museum.
Tip: entrance is cheaper for a family of four.

Nice old home with lots of history, grounds are kept nicely and beautiful statues from the Chicago World Expo. Plan to spend about 45 min to an hour.

The Oldest House tour is very educational and seeing the way the house was built and renovated over the years was interesting. This was the 2nd time we have been, we brought our kids this time. The courtyard and grounds are beautiful as well and the staff was so nice, friendly, and informative
