Oldest House Museum Complex

Great place to learn a little bit about history. Children of all ages should visit; it may make them more appreciative of the things they have!
Did an event honoring the fallen. Good turnout, good fun!

It was a nice experience to go see the oldest house in Saint Augustine. There is furniture from back then, and it's staged like in the 1700s and older. There are restrooms in case you need to stop by them. I'm uploading pictures from the outside, the inside downstairs and upstairs. Also, the kitchen was kept outside of the house because they were scared that the house might go on fire.

Such an interesting place with a lot of history, and our tour guide did a great job. I wish I could remember his name! Check out the old maps while you're here, too. And there's a surfers museum on the grounds as well (we didn't go in there).

Nice complex, only 9.95 for seniors. Strong guide and a lot to see, even a surfer section. Maps out the history of St. Augustine. Also free parking!

Hoyt gave us a great tour of the old house and the interesting and winding history. After the old house there's the Tabor house and another house on property that house several galleries.

When we visited there was the history of St Augustine in maps, the history of surfing in north East Florida and a history of Marineland. Those exhibits with the main museum about St Augustine history encompass pretty much a one stop shop for all history needs in St Augustine!

If you're looking for authentic history in a historical setting, then the Oldest House museum and tour are just the ticket, at the best price.

I went here for the opening of the Marineland Museum last night. Had an awesome time meeting new people while having hors d'oeuvres and drinks out in the garden areas. I was able to see the exhibits for the Oldest House as well. What a great place to learn about the history of this town! Beautiful grounds are almost surreal. Wonderful place for a private special occasion! A definite stop whether you're local or visiting here.

We had a wonderful docent who explained so much of the house's history. It's definitely worth the trip to see the different styles through the years.

Hidden gem museum with fantastic tour. Beautiful spot and so well documented. Perfect way to spend an hour. The tour guide was like a national geographic treasure. Soooooo interesting. A must see.

Very enjoyable visit & tour of this museum. Kim really knew the historical facts in detail of the home itself and the associated world political scene. Very worthwhile visit.

I have been here many times. I went with John F. Kennedy Middle School Rockledge Florida for MY 8th grade field trip YEARS ago lol and then went with each of my children at the same school for their field trip. We have also gone to St Augustine on family day trips.
Yesterday was a pretty great experience here. The staff was fantastic! They did activities with the kids and told stories about the house and life as it used to be. The students, teachers and us chaperones really enjoyed every moment!

A small and quick hit of history. Has veterans discounts. We almost missed it with how "tucked in" it looks.

This was a very cool experience!! It was worth your money in my opinion, and the workers were super nice and respectful!

My eight year old granddaughter and I took the tour today. We loved it! Jon was a great, friendly tour guide and pointed out the entire history of the house. There is also a maps house and surfing museum. Fun period gifts in the shop along with books and other items. If you love history, this is an inexpensive stop that you will enjoy.

Lovely little historic museum..

It was very interesting to see such a great historic site, tickets were $9 for senior, the guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the property.

Awesome place! Cant believe it has been around that long! Our guide was very informative and friendly, great learning experience, well kept, my 11 year old son loved it! He hopes that history will remain for his children to enjoy!
