Sara Bay Marina

This review is not based on the purchase of a boat or any interaction with the sales team. I currently keep a boat at Sara Bay Marina and am happy with this marina in general. Conveniently located with easy access to great bodies of water. This marina has floating docks, a tiki bar and restaurant attached, a Ramada hotel, lots of parking and many other great amenities. Affordable in my opinion.

I would like to thank Stratton and his service team Nick, Bob and Felipe. My 255DC was in for normal service and detail which they completed to 100% of my satisfaction. Thanks Felipe! However, at pickup there was an issue with my Garmin. Disappointed, I brought the issue to Bob and Stratton's attention. Bob and Stratton worked with Garmin on my behalf and got the issue fixed. They did an outstanding job getting the part and Nick really did a great job installing and updating the software! Well done guys and your efforts truly have earned a loyal customer!

Just picked up my 2016 Cobia Bay from Sara Bay Marine and they did a nice job. They installed a new GPS/FF, installed a new trim sending unit and fixed my very stiff steering. The Service Manager is Tim and I'm sorry I don't know who my Technician was but he did a very nice job. I previously purchased a Key West at Sara Bay and have been taking different boats there for over 10 years (Parker & KW). As always when I picked up my boat it was already in the water, washed and waiting for me. Thanks Sara Bay

First boat, I shopped around for marina/boat storage. We chose Sara Bay for location and easy access to the intracoastal. I am very happy with the excellent customer service from the entire staff. I had the engine serviced once already, and I was very satisfied, as well. Big shout-out to Jason, the dockmaster, for always being so nice and accommodating with all our requests. Strongly recommend Sara Bay Marina!

I submit this as more of a "thank you" than a review, because I wanted to thank everyone at Sara Bay Marina for a fantastic stay. This was the first winter we brought our boat down with us, and we made good use of it. Jason, Frank, and the rest of the yard/dock crew were exceptional and always considerate. They made us feel so welcome and even when really busy, they were willing to take a moment to chat. The launch app was too cool and easy to use. Just click and get to the dock- makes you feel like a rock star. And every time we'd arrive, the boat was really clean and ready to go. Never got a chance to ask how the cleaning crews get the boats so spiffy. We didn't get to meet anyone in the service dept, but they replaced a bad starter quicker than we've seen anywhere else. Rock on fellas.

It goes without saying, but we will be back again next year. Thank you Sara Bay for a great boating experience, and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

Awesome place. Our sales consultant was Mike Dickinson and was a no bologna straight forward guy.

We had a easy going experience. We shopped roughly 15-20 boat stores from Sarasota, Bradenton, Palmetto all the way to Pinellas County hwy us19 locations. I'd say we spent over 3 weeks of pounding the pavement looking at multiple boats at different facilities. Sara bay immediately had that feel/vibe that it was the right place.

Sara Bay had the boat we wanted and we took advantage of it. We had our trailer and cooler on back order but that didn't stop us from enjoying the boat buying experience as they made 100% sure we would recieve what we asked for and what they said would come with the purchase.

The management is awesome and any staff member I've met outside while on the lot. Hell even the boat washing guy said good morning to me as I walked up. So management has a good staff.

I can’t begin to say enough great things about our stay at Sara Bay Marina during Thanksgiving week 2021. We live in South Carolina and keep the boat on a lake. This was our first time taking the boat into the Bay and Gulf. We wanted to find a centrally located Marina to keep our boat for a week and explore the area.

The property was in very good shape and our slip had everything we needed for our stay. What made the week so enjoyable was the service provided by the dock master, Jason. As newer boaters, we didn’t know what to expect. I contacted Jason about a month prior to our trip to confirm a few items and if he was able to store our trailer for the week. He was able to accommodate that and the rates were great.
He was quick to respond to texts and came out to the the boat to chat for a bit. Really helpful and we are so appreciative of his help and responsiveness!

Great stay. Thanks to Jason and Sara Bay Marina. We will be back.

My experiences at the Sara Bay In water marina have been nothing short of outstanding. I have been boating since 1965 and have had boats at two marinas in the Chicago area, 2 marinas in Florida one of which is my present dock at Sara Bay. Our dockmaster Jason Silverman is hands down the most professional, courteous and helpful marina manager I have ever run across. He displays a sincere interest in making all of his customers happy and always shows a willingness to make you feel comfortable and secure at Sara Bay.

I look forward to my future at Sara Bay and feel very comfortable with the service department and the various amenities that the marina has to offer.

Our details with Sarah Bay Marina have always been positive. We have purchased two boats from Sarah Bay and both experiences have been very favorable. Our last boat purchase from Sarah Bay included working with Mike Dickinson. Mike was very knowledgeable along with being very helpful and professional. Always returned phone calls with answers to our many questions and delivered on what was promised. Follow up after our purchase was outstanding in helping arranging many different things with moving the boat to the Bahamas. Mike went up and beyond to help us. I was down in the Sarasota area for two months this year and regret I only found this marina after month one. The month I got to stay was the best experience I had as a transient so far.

This marina has friendly and helpful boaters, a top notch staff and Tarpon Bay is a great spot to unwind and watch the backwaters after a day out.

Jason was extremely helpful and easy to work with. He anticipated everything I would need and made it easy and economical to extend my reservation when asked.

I am coming back here every year. I selfishly hope not a lot of people read this because this place is a small gem.

I have been in this marina for many years, both in the high and dry and in a slip. The location is excellent: protected, within minutes from Sarasota Bay, almost the same distance to the New Pass to the South or Long Boat pass to the North. The staff is very customer oriented. Jason, the Dockmaster, will bend over backwards to assist you in any way. The slips are spacious. Mine is 36’ x 16’.

The dockmaster Jason is great to work with. We loved having our boat stored at Sara Bay Marina. He was always very responsive and handled everything we ever needed! I highly recommend!

For years I have had the BEST experience at this First Class facility. Service with both my boats, as well as the storage/haul in haul out with Jason has been above any expectation. They handle my boat with extreme care and it is always ready for me when I arrive! There is no better facility-all around!-Susan M.

What a great team at this Marina. Not as many frills as you get at other marinas, so don't expect first class. However coach at this marina is still very good for your budget. Another key positive is the location. There is minimal traffic to get to it compared to other local marinas. Also, the dockmaster Jason has made my boat stay fantastic!

Jason and marina crew are great! Very easy process to drop your vessel in and out of the water by the app they have for members. Always dropped in the water on time and every is very nice when coming back after a day on the water to pull it out. Highly recommend to anyone in need of dry storage and marina use in the Sarasota or Manatee county

If you buy a boat here you can bet you'll get the best price and a great experience. I just bought a Key West boat from Mike Sfura at Sarah Bay Marina. Again: Best price. Great service. This is my third boat I've bought and couldn't be more pleased. They are honest. They are very patient (I have a family of six! that I paraded around their marina). And Mike listened to what I wanted and got exactly what I needed. They went above and beyond to take care of me and my family. The test drive was a positive no hassle no pressure experience. I have been a customer of SaraBay for almost a year now. I was not looking to buy a boat when I went to the Sarasota Boat Show last year. I found the boat of my dreams Albermarle 32 DC. The boat has met all my expectations. My sales rep Mike Dickinson was extremely knowledgeable about the boat, its features and operation. He was attentive to my needs and helped get the boat rigged to fit my needs. I would highly recommend both Sarabay and Mike Dickinson if you are looking for a good quality boat with great service.

From the moment we arrived, to when the boat got sold, he was up and above in all matters. He was there at every moment to answer our questions and concerns and was always professional but most of all pleasant and cheerful. I cannot remember a time, even when he was really busy, that he was any other way during our whole time. During Covid 19 we could not cross the Canadian Border and he was there for us every step of the way. Going out of his way to assure us with the safety of our boat and there wasn't any time we called that he didn't take the time to either answer our questions or deal with any situation. It definitely gives you a feeling of being part of a family rather than a business. If and when we get a new boat we would return to this Marina ..far superior because of its welcoming feeling. Also a thank you to Lexi for all your friendly ways and your cheerful disposition. Don't ever loose your zest for life you are a truly a lovely person who also made our stay there the best. Taking care of the boats and watching out for us.

Sara Bay Marina has done all my rigging work and servicing since I bought my 2017 Grady White. They are very easy access by boat, or trailer, and Brian, Gary and Steve will lift your boat right out of the water and take it to the shop.

Over the past year, Tim and Randall and crew have added Power Poles, several Garmin accessories, sound system accessories and allowed my boat to be worked on by approved outside vendors, including applying non-slip decking. They have also been my only folks for servicing my Yamaha engine when needed. The service department at Sara Bay are all good folks, and enjoyable to talk with. They all have done great work and I will certainly use them in the future.
