Big Boys Bait & Tackle

This local shop is so helpful and patient with young boys who want to learn to fish and a mom who is clueless!! Matt showed my boy how to string the pole and knot with a uni knot. Caleb was honest about the line and reel we had and helped us understand you pay a little more and fishing will be less frustrating! The young guys working there are great! Thank you for being a great example for my son!

I’ve been coming to Big Boy’s for a few years now, and it’s by far my favorite shop on the Cape. They are always very friendly, and one time even let my young son take a peek at the shiner tank in the back, which was super cool. They always have live bait in stock, I always get good sized shrimp, and I know I’ll snag a few bass when I get some shiners from them. Just an overall great bait shop with a great selection of tackle and baits and helpful employees that will set you up with what you need.

One of the few places that has fiddler crabs!!! Good selection of all things salt water and fresh water. Great access to the local fishing guides. Customer service was awesome and super knowledgeable! Thank you Fred, Jess, and Capt.Johnny Nottingham for your expert advice!

I live is SW cape, but it is always worth the ride up to Big Boys for my live and frozen bait. Decent amount of tackle as well. Thanks to Big Boys we have had some great days on the water.

Stopped in for fish bait and a good fishing spot and got both. Service with a smile and great information. Visiting from GA I really needed to know where to go for shoreline fishing and what to fish with. Tyler was amazing!! He answered all my questions(I had a bunch)and hooked me up with some bait to fish with and 2 great fishing spots. Both were very productive. I enjoyed the visit to the well stocked store. I do not typically leave reviews. However, I was reading through some of the ones that were left and was surprised at some of the negative comments and felt I needed to leave my own review.

I am new to the area and didn't have a clue about the fishing or places to fish. I just knew the fishing here is a lot different than where I came from as we troll 90% of the time back home. I went in clueless and walked out feeling confident that I knew where to fish and what was needed. They even helped me to setup a custom rod for what I was looking to do. I have zero complaints and really enjoyed my conversations with Dax and the store owner (Fred I believe).

I stopped in Big Boys Bait shop to get 2 dozen hand picks before going fishing today. The shrimp were pretty big & I will definitely come back but next time I'll buy bigger hooks 🪝

Overall probably one of the best bait shops in the cape Richard had amazing service as well as captain Dax. They gave me and my father amazing tips and tricks and “honey holes” around the area. My father and I left very satisfied with are time in the bait shop, Definitely going to be back. I recommend this bait shop for any one who needs any tackle/bait !!!

Very friendly, helpful staff. Lots of fishing gear. If they don't have what you're looking for to go fishing, you probably don't really need it!

The owner was extremely nice to my son and I. Gave us a very fair deal on two new rod / reels. Gave us some advice about fishing the area. Also he was an eagle scout and he supports scouting. Great place to spend local for your fishing needs.

This is the best bait and tackle shop in the whole SWFL Florida . I’ve been to many places and nothing can compare to this place. They have a wide variety of products including sunglasses, many rods,reels, lures, and bait. Plus the team always leads me in the right direction and I can always count on them to help me with any questions I have . This is the place that got me into fishing and I’m glad I found a home for all my fishing needs . I wanna give a shout-out to Fred for always being extra friendly and helpful too.

Girlfriend came down there few months ago and got me some tackle and some shirts, love all of it would be nice if we could order more shirts online. I've tried few times looking at the website but never brings you to a page to actually shop.
