Pine Island Bait and Tackle

I have been a charter Captain for 15 years and have been saltwater fishing for more than 30 years. I have been to shops all over the east coast. When visiting Pine Island / Cape Coral area this tackle shop is a must visit! It honestly feels more like a pro shop. Anybody call sell rods and shrimp but the owners and staff go out of their way to make sure you have the gear best suited to your needs. The amount of inventory is incredible! They have good quality equipment at both the entry level and the highest of end that are more than fairly priced. Great shop and I can’t wait to visit again soon!

Stopped in for advice and what we needed for fishing in the canal. Staff was beyond friendly and helpful getting us setup! They even said just give us a call if you have any questions. The guys were great!

One of the best bait shops I have ever seen. Clean and pretty inside, which is rare in a bait shop. I got some super cute stuff to wear while my husband picked up bait and ice. It had a stunning amount of gear for sale, always had bait, and the owner is so knowledgeable and nice to chat with, so be sure to check out Pine Island Bait and Tackle.

Without a question the best fishing supply store in the area. They have every color and size of soft plastics available and more jig heads than Bass Pro. They have everything you would ever need to fish within 100 miles of here.

The guys in the store are very helpful and amazingly knowledgeable. You tell them what you want to catch and they know the best local setup.

Why can't every business be run this way??

New ownership is not only knowledgeable, but also gave us a ton of education and pointers on locations and tackle to use. While my husband was talking fishing, I was able to pick up a cute hat and shirt. Cant wait to go back.

Best part... the shrimp we bought stayed alive for 4 days... and were really fresh. All in all... this shop made our week of fishing a success.

Went to learn and buy rod/reel combos for Florida fishing. Tim was outstanding and patient. We left with 4 rod/reel combos. Tim strung the reels and taught some knots. Rigged all 4 rods ready to fish. Highly recommend this bait and tackle shop ! Outstanding service and friendly atmosphere.

My husband and I spent some time last week at Pine Island Bait and Tackle with the owner, Tim. We are new to salt water fishing and learned so much about the rods, reels and tackle as well as local fishing techniques. They have an amazing inventory. Tim was very knowledgeable and patient showing us different options. He did not try to upsell us to the most expensive equipment available. Prices are competitive. He created a perfect rod & reel combinations for both of us. Been out fishing and skunked my husband, maybe mine is better. LOL

We stopped in at pine island bait and tackle to get shrimp for a girls day of fishing and found so much more. Friendly staff who felt like friends right off the bat. They treated us like family and we loved it. They have an awesome store including some awesome T-shirts, hats and gear from pine island. If you are on the island stop in and see these nice folks even if you aren’t fishing!!!

Love the atmosphere, reel bait and tackle stop and the prices are right in line with what they have to offer. The custom rods are beautiful and extremely well built. Not just a bait and tackle store, they have apparel, boat rentals along with bicycles and golf carts. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I won't shop anywhere else as a local charter Captain with Olde Salty Island Charters.

The guys who work here are really awesome. Thet helped us get set up with a rig in our price range. They also are really great about taking the time to explain all the different kinds of fishing you can do on the island if you're new to the area.

Wonderful Shop. One of the nicest places on the island for Bait and Tackle. Tim, Bob and little Bob were top notch and made us feel like family. Little Bob was very educated on the local fishery and helped us with some new goodies to try while we visited, and he was spot on. We caught multiple species of fish. Thanks again guys for such a wonderful experience.

Very well stocked tackle shop in St James City. Helpful staff. We enjoy dealing with locals that appreciate the year-round residents trying to learn to fish in Southwest Florida this is a great place to start catching fish
