DeBono's Stop And Go

Gia is the nicest woman who works here and was so awesome helping this morning. It was so busy in the store with her doing U-Haul transactions. She went above and beyond and I even picked up two beautiful, looking ribeye steaks for my family and I’m so excited to take them home to them!!

I've been a resident of cape coral since 1998. I've rented several uhauls here, and got some great food...both the sandwiches and the meat. I haven't been back in years due to living locations in the cape over time. I saw a post on FB where Rosemary left a comment. Just moved into n our new home and came for the ribeyes. I asked for a 16 Oz (1 lb).. about an inch thick...first cut comes out. It's 0.98 lb. I was asked if that was ok...perfect!!! ....yup totally OK. Also grabbed a couple baked potatoes at the register on the way out. It's been awhile but we will probably be back once a week again. Cudos guys over the decades! Photos ...wow 5+ stars

These guys have been around a long time and for good reasons. They offer a few different services like paying your electric bill or renting a uhaul truck. Apart from that you can get yourself a decent meal here they have a deli . Stop in early and try out their deli 👍

Hands down the BEST customer service with U-Haul! Donnie went above and beyond to make sure our truck rentals were good to go. Even though we have U-Haul dealers closer to us, we travel a little farther for the outstanding service. Thanks for the great customer service!

Awesome breakfast sandwich during the week. Customer service is something from times gone by. Very efficient and personable. This store really does care about your experience while trading with them. They also handle UHaul and LCEC bill pay.

Best subs money can buy! Good selection of cold cuts cut fresh in front of you! Worth a stop and go, it's in the name!

Don and Chuck (and all staff!) are some of the most friendly and kind people I've met in Cape Coral. I've passed by De Bono's many times and would have probably never been inside if I hadn't needed UHaul boxes. They helped me carry out boxes multiple times and allowed me to bring back unused boxes. Now we're moving out of town and I'm sad that I didn't know about this place while we were in town.

Here is where the human side of enterprise reaches perfection along efficiency at its highest. The owners and staff show they care in everything and always. Impeccable service, outstanding dedication to customers and a genuine charm.

Avoid their U-Haul rentals.

Rented a one way car trailer. Policy dictates they hook it up and photograph the hookup and upload to U-Haul. They did so, I loaded a vehicle and it turned out the neck of the trailer was extremely bent. See attached photo. I did not notice this, as I picked it up very late in the day and the sun was going down. I verified proper engagement of tow ball and chains and moved on.

This caused an array of issues, including either a bent hitch or tweaked frame of my pickup truck. Upon contacting U-Haul corporate they immediately admitted this based on the hookup picture uploaded by DeBono’s.

I contacted DeBono’s and was able to reach them eventually- I advised of the above issue (which caused the trailer to sway almost uncontrollably), and the trailer having a flat tire. At that point they offered a call back. When I received a call back, I was (in summary) told that I should have returned the trailer to them directly and that I would need to return it to the drop location 3 states away and they will submit the damage report to U-Haul, at which point I would essentially be blamed for the damage.

While I understand that things happen and fall through the cracks, I cannot ignore the pure stupidity and lack of care that was demonstrated when brought to their attention.

I am now left dealing with U-Hauls insurance to repair my truck, and will likely have to sue U-Haul and DeBonos to remedy the situation.

In summary- I would not rent anything from them unless you are using it locally and take full videos of the condition of the equipment on their property before leaving with it.

Reserved a UHaul van a week out showed up on time to rent and they didn't have it. Told them I would rent a truck, trailer, anything and they said they had nothing despite several trucks and trailers sitting in their lot. They said those are reserved. My confirmation of their reservation meant nothing to them. BAD BUSINESS! Do not reserve a rental from DeBono's - they only take reservations but don't honor them.

Always have shopped at their meat counter until today. Their ribeye steaks have always been amazing along with great service. Today while waiting to purchase 4 - 1" cuts at $15.99 a pound, we were told by this new butcher working there to come back as he was putting packages together for people that wasn't even waiting. Sad that we have to find a new butcher to buy steaks. Hate walking away from this wonderful family owned business because of a lazy hired hand.
