The pesto had some love put into it. The softness, texture and the cream was perfect. Perfect noodles. Great med rare steak. All around wholesome meal. We will definitely be coming back!

I'm so lucky to have The Local, in Miramar, literally steps from my house. I'm also guilty of never having reviewed it here. We had a quick brunch on Sunday before heading out to explore some hiking trails.
We were seated promptly, had the delightful Haydn H as our server, and in no time yours truly had a delicious Bloody Mary (and the hubster a beer) because that's how we roll! I love my vodka cocktails!
Their bloody good bloody has a very simple garnish, so no appetizer type thing to consume with the drink, but the bloody mix is quite tasty. Not sure if it's house made, but I know a LOT of bloody mixes and I couldn't identify it (should ask next time). It was delicious and not weak at all.
It interesting to know their menu is MUCH bigger than the version you can view online, so I am posting pics at the end. I mean LOTS more things, and good ones.
I got crab cake Bennys and the hubster got the salmon, extra hoizen glaze, with fried rice that's actually quinoa.
Everything was super yummy! My eggs were poached a bit too long, and I never even brought it up, but our server spotted it while checking on us and offered to have them remade. We were pit stopping and I really didn't mind, just requested extra hollandaise, but they took $5 off the check without me even complaining! Who does that? That is a real dedication to quality!
Also, the crab cakes have SO MUCH CRAB, and hardly any filler! That's also amazing!
The hubter inhaled his salmon, he gets it often and is really obsessed with it.
Great little place, that now has a full bar when they didn't used to, in case you didn't know that.
More menus and info in the last pics like live music on Wednesday and happy hour daily specials. It's such a reasonable priced place to go with great service and good food with lots of options.

Really good food. Service a bit slow, but we were with friends and appreciated the extra time. Not too busy for dinner and has both indoor and outdoor seating options. Not pictured: side of sweet potato home fries, chocolate crème brûlée, and tiramisu, all of which were very yummy. The price for value is good. We will definitely be back.

I'm talking roasted salmon sandwiches that'll make you swim upstream for more, and a 'get chopped' salad that's fresher than my latest pair of sneakers. And the turkey sandwich on wheat? Let's just say it's the MVP of sandwiches, no fowl play there!

But wait, there's more! The appetizers are like the opening act to a rock concert – you don't want to miss 'em. Sure, there might've been a mix-up here and there, but hey, nobody's perfect, except maybe Dabo on game day. And those burgers? They're like a Hail Mary pass – sometimes they miss the mark, but when they connect, it's a touchdown!

Had a delicious dinner experience recently. The server was super attentive and the food was perfect. Love the local variety of beers on tap.

Tonight it was our first time here, we needed so much help deciding and Mari, our wonderful server out on the patio, was a huge help. She made a small change to the drink I ordered that really rounded it out, offered up the specials and menu favorites, and generally helped guide us as newcomers. The foliage on the patio is beautiful, however I am a mosquito magnet, and when I asked if we could move to the center area of the patio, Mari was happy to comply. The drink and food selections were great, including the amazing blueberry bread pudding we had for dessert. I ate faster than my phone could take pictures, but I’ll be sure to grab some next time! Staff inside was very friendly and welcoming too, it really seemed they all enjoyed working together and being present. We’ll be back for brunch! (And seriously give Mari a raise or promotion, she was so knowledgeable)

Staff was super friendly and kind. My server was attentive and even walked me through a few popular items because it was my first time! Would go again, it’s highly recommended

The hostesses were very welcoming and sweet. The two girls made us feel at home. Complements to them. The service and food were great. I highly recommend to make reservations to try it out. Thank you, I will definitely comeback with my family and friends.

We had a wonderful time at The Local Two weeks ago on a Saturday around noon. I made reservations the night before for 4 adults and two kids. We had a nice outside table so our dog could join us.
Patrick was great as our server.
I don’t have any pics of our food because we were enjoying ourselves.
The food was yummy.
I got the fried chicken club with fries and it was delicious.
My partner got the eggs Benedict with potatoes and loved it.
Our friends got the burger and the hurricane plate with a Bloody Mary and iced coffee.

The only thing I would change was more coverage from the sun. We couldn’t adjust our umbrella and most of us were in direct sunlight.
Also the parking is VERY limited and the closest parking lots all have towing signs.

We're from out of town and today was our first time here. We're having a big dinner later, so we split a burger and sweet potato fries. It was so good!. All the food on other tables looked delicious. The staff was great, we'll definitely return.

My wife and I went here for a brunch date. It was such a cute place and a super super cute atmosphere. Staff was super friendly and awesome. Our food was fantastic and you get a large portion. We both got iced coffees and they were also very very good. Highly recommended this place. Super awesome and great food

The overall atmosphere of The Local was very welcoming! My server was attentive and even walked me through a few popular items because it was my first time! I ended up choosing the Portabella Mushroom Sandwich and it was sooooo good! I already want to go back and get it again!

Celebrated three friends’ birthdays and our party of 20 were accommodated with no issues. Great food made-to-order. I had the hurricane plate (sausage, bacon, 3-eggs, grits, sweet potato home fries, and toast). Plenty of food for the price. I had a taste of my wife’s fried chicken breast and it was moist and not dry. Enjoyed the iced latte too. Great service! No complaints!

Another fantastic brunch at this sweet restaurant. Food is so good. Love table service on the weekends. The drinks were tasty and well crafted. The wait staff was friendly and fun. Drinks included a mimosa, a purple dragon, a sangria AND a flight of draft beers. Was craving a fried chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint! So tasty with the pickles too! We also had the veggie and the egg with chips and one with grits. All very very good. This is a happy place for me!

Our server Hayden was amazing. Hayden is so attentive of her guests and has the best personality. The food was awesome and we enjoyed sitting in the beautiful courtyard outside.

Went today on Mother’s Day and loved the food!! The hostess girls one blonde the other brunette were AMAZING!! It’s rare to find places that have WONDERFUL workers along with DELICIOUS food!! Shoutout to our server Spencer and the hostess! Thank you! I will be coming again.

Checked out the lunch options at The Local on San Jose. Delicious sandwiches. They don't do full service at this location, at least for lunch. You order at the register and sit down with a number and they bring the food to you. Overall great lunch. Everything was warm and fresh and tasted great. Would go back. Also love the Neptune location
