NAS Oceana Commissary

This commissary is top notch. The staff are friendly and personable. Oceana ranks #1 above the other commissaries in the area, no contest.

Good selection, spacious, and just a great environment overall.

Good deals, produce can be iffy at times but otherwise it's a good place to shop if you can.

Beautifully laid out and organized grocery store. Great selection of hard to find items. Very friendly sales staff. First time visit while in that area. Wish I lived closer.

One of the best Commissaries I’ve been to. The staff is amazingly friendly. The store is always well stocked and cleaned. The variety is abundant and the food quality is great as well. I find myself shopping here more than any other store. At the end of the day, the deals are just worth it for what I shop for. I can’t say enough good things about ALL of the staff working here. Very good people.

Great prices and inventory! A lot of things are better priced than Walmart here. Overall one of the best grocery stores for Active duty military and veterans.

I often shop here because the prices are lower on some of my snacks and food. The staff is always courteous and helpful. Shelves are stocked. Store is clean. Fruit and veggies were fresh. Checkout can be a challenge, depending on the time and day. Most people's carts are full, so even self checkout can have a wait. Not a negative experience. Just makes it hard to make a quick stop. Always enjoy my visits.

I love that it’s outside the gates because to bring my wife, she would have the go through the vetting process each time to get a pass and miss work because the hours for vetting are 7am to 3pm mon-fri

Our first time shopping there. Prices were great. Shelves were stocked. The lady in the meat department was very nice and helpful. Our bagger was sweet and respectful. Will now shop there instead of Walmart

This is a solid commissary. Better prices than you'll find at other grocery stores around Virginia for sure and a good selection. Also some unique brands that you would have trouble finding elsewhere. Employees are very friendly. Typically well stocked with anything you would need.
