Holiday Inn VA Beach-Oceanside (21st St), an IHG Hotel

Beautiful hotel. Very nice indoor pool, the gym is little small. Great food and cocktails, really nice having an on site bar and restaurant . Breakfast buffet was delicious and fresh. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Quiet too. Front desk lady was very polite and knowledgeable. Beautiful balcony views.

We were pleasantly surprised with the remodeling that took place from our last visit. While the staff was always helpful and friendly the real change was in the rooms. Ours was completely updated including hard and soft pillows! Last time we had a problem with the lack of hot water but the newly renovated bathroom had plenty. Needless to say we'll be back.

The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast provided a variety of choices. The location offered many things within walking distances. The boardwalk offers bike rentals and Horseback Riding as well. This hotel is very easy to access; the rooms are big and clean, and the balcony overlooking the ocean is a bonus!

Definitely an older hotel, but the staff makes up for it. Everyone was so nice and helpful my entire stay.

Shout out to Daphne, Ricky, Cain, and Leisha! Also kudos to the two maintenance men as well. They will definitely not let you down.

Loved our stay at this Holiday Inn. Great staff with awesome customer service, right by the boardwalk, the pool was not full of kids (depending on the time of day) and plenty of food options nearby. Will definitely be coming back again on our next trip to VA 🏖.

Great hotel and prime location. In town for AAU track meet. Room clean and spacious, sheets and pillows premium and cozy, customer service A1. I believe they renovated recently. Oceanfront view is perfect and has direct beach access. Will def stay here again. 5 stars.

Only con is shower water pressure is low but it seems to be a VA beach policy with conservation of water and environment.

Have stayed here two years in a row. The staff is always friendly. Being right on the beach you always have a great view.

The desk clerks were fabulous from the time of our arrival to the time we left. We ate the breakfast buffet and had a lot to choose from. They have a nice bar there with an excellent bartender that great suggestions on drinks. The hotel room was very clean of course it was ocean front beautiful scenery for sunrise and sunset saw a lot of dolphins. Would recommend this hotel and give it a five star.

We had a mostly wonderful stay at the beach and definitely prefer this location! The staff went out of their way to try to fix our room problem with the possessed toilet that wouldn't stop running every few minutes (First-World problems). The front desk staff and handy man were all very attentive and polite, even though the part couldn't be fixed.
The only critique would be that this is something that could have been caught (or was) earlier either by house keeping or a previous guest, as it was quite loud even with the door closed and occurred every 2-3 minutes, so could be something on the checklist for staff. Toilet running randomly - send handyman to fix for next occupant.
This event won't keep me from staying here again. Absolutely love the location and staff that work here.

Great. Nice rooms. Rolling desk was nice to move the desk to an optimal spot in the room. Keurig machine in the room. on-site restaurant was convenient. At first the parking seemed challenging but they also have free valet and a lot 1 block away where they put the cars. Looked good with ample empty spaces. All things considered, a great choice for the area and really everything you could want or need. Friendly staff as well.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff from the front desk to the restaurant servers, free valet parking, and housekeepers were so friendly and accommodating. Nice and clean hotel with amazing views. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Bike rental is next door. On site restaurant has limited menu but very good quality food. Kids loved it. Would definitely come back to stay here. They had buffet breakfast in the morning and kids eat free.

The hotel was newly remodeled, and it was such an upgrade! Lots of little things made our stay better.

There are 4 pillows on each queen bed - 2 marked firm and 2 marked soft.

There was a table on wheels where you could move around the room, which also had a bar on both ends that we could hang clothes on (not sure that was its purpose, though).

The balcony chairs were better than the typical flimsy chairs that most hotels have.

The shower was awesome! I am in my 50s, and it was wonderful not to have to step into a tub. Plus, there was liquid hand soap and lotion next to the sink. And there was liquid shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower.

The lobby is nicely decorated, and there is a restaurant/bar. There is a nice heated pool as well.

The hotel is in a great area with so many things to do in an easy walking distance. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I spent 2 weeks for work and the location really made me feel like I wasn’t missing anything VA beach had to offer. I ate breakfast downstairs everyday and the staff was so punctual and friendly. The front desk brought towels up to me very quickly and overall I enjoyed everything about my stay. Plus get a look at that view!

The hotel is located in a great spot. All rooms overlook the beach and boardwalk. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. As a former housekeeper i am very critical with cleanliness and our room, along with all hotel areas, were very clean. All front desk agents were friendly and helpful. We especially liked the ladies that covered the morning shift (that's who we interacted with the mist during our stay).
We ate at Hemingway's for dinner on our last night and the bartender was very friendly. We had a great conversation with him and another guest sitting at the bar. The she-crab soup was excellent. Definitely a must if you like crab.

Remodeled and the place us beautiful, clean and service was great. The restaurant breakfast and dinner were excellent.
Truly enjoyed our stay and will return.

Modern hotel in a great location. Friendly staff. It is one of the better hotels within the IHG portfolio.

My mom and I stayed here on a little vacation to see friends in the area. The rooms were very clean and looked new. The shower was really nice and the ocean front balconies are just perfect. The food at Hemingways was delicious, as well!

Great location - so easy to get to. Valet parking was free. Kids eat free for breakfast. Super easy to step out to the beach. Loved this downtown location. Room was super clean, comfortable. Price was more than I wanted to pay, but for the days we were there, it was acceptable. We would stay here again.

King bed suite is clean and spacious, oceanfront view is unbeatable. Appreciate the free cucumber water and coffee at the lobby. Food at Hemingway’s grill bar is good and kids friendly. I’m glad I read tons of reviews and booked this one. Will be staying here again!

Convenient location, nearly everything on the strip was in walking distance! The valet and front desk service were extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and all the appliances worked well. The bathrooms even had liquid soap!
