SpringHill Suites by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront

A group of us stayed here in August 2023 and it was great! We flew down early and did not realize check in was not until 4:00 pm. So I figured we could just leave our luggage in a holding area and enjoy the day until all the rooms were ready. Well the hotel did not have a place to hold luggage for 8 people. Madison and Que at the front desk were so kind to allow us to check into the reserved rooms that were ready. So not only could we store our luggage we were able to change and hit the beach. The location was good, the food at the poolside bar was good, and the breakfast was good. Since we flew on Breeze Airways (don't judge me) we had to hang around after checkout cause the flight times are limited. On top of that it was a storm so we pretty much were in the lobby for 3 hours. Que and Madison were very accommodating to our needs and did not make us feel like we were a burden!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. After reading reviews, We were a little hesitant about our booking. We requested top floors and the rooms (recently renovated?) were nice and clean. We had 2 rooms one on 12 and one of 14. The view of the pier and beach was great. As others have stated the hallways and elevators were indeed a little stuffy but we didn't hang out for long periods of time in it, so didn't mind it at all. The indoor pool and fitness center were nice and clean. The indoor spa was not as hot as I would have liked. The outdoor pool was actually around the corner of the building and the bar there served pretty decent drinks. The outdoor spa was nice and toasty and not overly crowded. The breakfast was basic and got a little crowded. Not a huge selection but made do. They have a little snack bar where you can get some treats, like we did in the middle of the night. Customer service was great!

I had to cancel my reservation and Vincent made sure that the process ran smoothly. He called me back and told me that everything was taken care of and my deposit was refunded back. I will definitely consider booking here in the future.

This hotel is the best I've been to how ever it looks nothing like the pictures the rooms but they look better

Best hotel on Virginia Beach by far! Walking distance to everything. Gonna be back here in 4 weeks for work.

We had to book as a stay-to-play event. Our room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was a good spread. Oceanfront is nice. We didn’t have any issues with the stay and the front desk was nice any time we interacted with them. It was extremely busy due to tournaments and the groups in the indoor pool were a bit rowdy and unsupervised, but that isn’t really the hotels fault.

Currently the property is undergoing renovation which made the lobby dusty but overall the location is awesome and you get the best of the pier and park.

I was thoroughly impressed with both the hotel itself and the rooms. The stunning ocean view stay I had was truly worth it, as waking up to the breathtaking sunrise each morning was an unforgettable experience.

One of the nicer boardwalk hotels ocean front. Every room has an ocean view. Fine amenities as well. Good swimming pools both in and out. Good dining with various restaurants within a short walking distance or eat at the hotels restaurant . Across the street are shops and more dining. Park your car in their free 4 story parking deck. Relax and enjoy the Atlantic Ocean and watch the military jet aircraft pilots taking to the sky. Highly recommend .

Asked to have a room next to another room for my dater and they went out their
way to make it happen. I was pleased with the front desk people and the rooms.

If you love to be beachside, this is definitely your best option if you're staying in Virginia Beach. They have a full breakfast every morning, spacious suites, and plenty of parking in their garage. We stayed in one of their suites and it was surprisingly big and had three sinks (one inside with the shower, one outside the bathroom, and a kitchen sink). It came with a half kitchen and made our stay comfortable with a nice living room outside of the two bedrooms. Overall, it was one of my favorite experiences in the area that I could relax in after a long day with a great view of the beach.

My family (myself, husband, and 8 year old child) stay at this hotel every summer. Our first stay a few years ago was perfect and so we never wanted to try any other hotels in Virginia Beach! This hotel has everything I look for - oceanfront balconies, pools both outdoor AND indoor which I love in case the weather stinks, breakfast included, friendly staff, and it’s very clean! You can imagine that an oceanfront hotel could get pretty sandy but the staff is always cleaning! I don’t normally leave reviews but this year we stayed and had an unfortunate incident of having our car broken into. I want to stress and be clear that we have NEVER have felt unsafe at this hotel or this area of the oceanfront. This incident came down to us sadly owning a Kia which currently is having major theft issues. Luckily our car is newer and could not be stolen but it left us with a smashed window and ripped out ignition. This hotel was absolutely amazing with handling the incident. Brian, the manager, was not in at the time it happened and as soon as he arrived he called us to discuss the situation. He offered to extend our stay for as long as we needed to get repairs to our car done so we could drive it home (we had a 7 hour drive). While dealing with the mess we missed breakfast. I thought maybe I could make it just in time to get my son some cereal but we had just missed it. The woman working was so sweet and brought breakfast stuff out for us and told us to eat and take our time. Even though breakfast was over she never rushed us to finish or get what we wanted and left everything out for us until we were ready to leave. I wish I got her name so I could give her a shout out here. We are so appreciative of the staff for their help and kindness during a very stressful situation. Springhill Suites is our hotel and we will most definitely be back!!

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It was clean, well taken care of & the room setup is fantastic. The staff is very courteous & attentive to the guests. We have stayed at numerous hotel on the boardwalk but will never chose another after this stay. The pool is in a great place & is very large and comfortable. Lastly the pool bar / grill had the best food of the week. The BBQ chicken wrap was delicious. Thank you.

The absolute best stay at the beach.
The breakfast was beautiful my husband states. Pool warm and clean also hot tub clean.
The staff was over the top kind. JD was awesome and I'm not to sure of the 2nd shift maintenance man but he was wonderful as well. Our new to go hotel we will be returning. We already booked for our next stay.

My family ended up booking rooms here for an impromptu get together and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. The employees were extremely kind and very accommodating. It’s a bit further down the boardwalk so it great for families with younger kids because most of the young adult crowd is around 17th street. The breakfast was simple but delicious. We definitely plan to return.

We love this hotel. We have been guests here for the last 6 summers. The hotel is always so clean, and we feel very comfortable here. The staff is very friendly and are always willing to help. We enjoyed talking with Brandon our first night, he had us laughing and had awesome customer service. The pool stays open through September, and the pool bar is a great addition- the food and drinks are a true vacation vibe while hanging at the pool! The hotel is also in a great location and very close to restaurants and fun things that are easily accessible by biking/walking. The only downside I will mention is to not leave bicycles chained up outside by the pool over night on the hotels bike racks, 2 of ours bikes were stolen, but at only fault of our own for having too strong of faith in humanity lol. We will be back next year!

Nice get away after the holidays. Was clean. Parking was good. The bed were a lil too firm for us. Pool was cold. Ran out of food one morning for breakfast. Great view. Loved watching the dolphins from our room.

Loved the location and it is a must to get an ocean view, it's just gorgeous. The gentleman who checked us in was amazing and super friendly. He was a great help. The indoor pool is nice. We didn't realize where the outdoor pool was until we were leaving. It looks like it belongs to the hotel next door.
Loved being right on the water and walking along the beach without having to be in the sand. Waves were quite large amd it was cooler weather so we didn't go in the water at the beach. Great Italian restaurant across the street.
Breakfast was average. Good coffee and juice.

Extremely spacious suite. Although cold bedroom would be a delight in the summer, in winter not so much.
