A fantastic place to park for the day. I found this spot on an app called Park4Night showing areas busses and rv's can park. There were no signs saying "no overnight parking" however the website says park closes at 11pm (2300.)
On a sunny day there are no obstructions blocking solar panels from charging. The parking lot is sturdy with compacted shells and sand. Easy beach access and there is a bathroom in the parking lot. There is also security cameras on the restrooms building covering the parking lot.

Parking was easy In and easy out. The parking lot was directly off A1A and it had enough room to park my van and unload with 2 kids safely while still having plenty of room for the other incoming/outgoing vehicles to drive by. The restrooms were easily accessible however I did not need to use them so I am unsure of the conditions inside them. The stairs we used had a ramp up but did not have a ramp down so we couldn't use a wagon or wheelchair to get onto the beach however there was more than one point of access so there may have been one on one of the other ones. The beach was beautiful and not crowded at all. We did go on a Wednesday though so the weekend may be different crowd wise. We took our dog with us and this was his first trip to a beach and he loved it!! I highly recommend this location for families with kids and pets!! Great day and great experience!!

Varn park is no-nonsense, clean and efficient. The parking lot is long and thin so every parking spot is close to a walkover to beach. The parking lot is all concrete and the rest room facilities are modern and in the middle of the lot. Though it seems like a lesser known beach the fisherman love it and are there early in the morning and then the beach fills up with sunbathers and swimmers soon after.

One of the cleanest and spectacular beaches I've ever been to.
Millions of shells on the ground, big n small.
Clean n cold water, I could hear the sound of the waves, it was so peaceful being there.
Just Lovely.
Since I was traveling from NJ to Florida, I'm not used to seeing empty spaces. This beach was not at all busy, it felt like we're the only one at the Varn Park.

Love coming here. If you drive further south down A1A there are several small beach accesses that you can park on the opposite side of the road and get to. Never crowded down there. Then go back and use Varn Park for the showers.

Beautiful, quiet section of the beach. Offers parking and public restrooms. I don't know if it's dog friendly, but we definitely saw a few pups!

Very nice and clean beach. Great place to relax early in the morning. Be careful when swimming since there is a drop off in the water.

This is one of my favorite stretches of beach along the Atlantic, Florida. It's just north of Flagler, great town with friendly peoples, and it's just a really great place to bring your dog, kids, whatever and spend the afternoon.

My favorite beach access. Ample parking. Natural beach without much development. Restrooms are reasonably clean but may get sandy at times. Has outdoor showers. Beautiful unspoiled beach with wildflowers growing on dunes. Love this place!

Great park. Showers, bathrooms, and water fountains available. Short walkway to beach.
Only downside is the steep dip of the beach, down to the water. Low tide is best at this location. As high tide begins to come in, the waves get pretty decent in size(some surf worthy). This makes it more challenging if you have small children, like me! I stood in front of her while she played almost knee deep in the water. The steepness, added to the very strong out current, made me very nervous. Made her a bit nervous, too.
Park wise(pros) - location is great! Clean facilities! Good parking and beach access!
Beach wise(pros) - great for fishing. Great for older kids and adults. Great for possibly surfing. Not crowded.
Beach wise(CONS) - Not a Sage place for small children who can't swim, and younger children who aren't good at swimming, fully on their own!

Great place to go to the beach and isn't very crowded. The sand is nice and there aren't many shells. There are restrooms and showers available. Good amount of parking.

Beautiful Park. Now if everyone could pick up after themselves so I don't have to, that would be great. No dogs allowed here.

Gorgeous beach, sometimes a handful of people, sometimes no people for miles! The sand is beautiful coquina sand. Please remember to pick up your trash, and don't disturb the wildlife.
Not too many whole shells to find, good bird watching, and a clean public restroom. The outdoor shower is much appreciated.

Great little beach tucked away from everything. Far enough that it's less crowded.

Restroom and water fountain available at the parking lot.

Personally, I'd drive from Daytona to this beach for the cleanliness and quietness.

I went on a Wednesday morning, so it wasn't very crowded. A couple fishermen were on the beach at the time. It's a pretty nice place to park for free and use the beach. They have public bathrooms and so e outdoor showers too.

Driving up A1A N from Daytona Beach towards St. Augustine we passed this park. We were looking for a safe place with facilities to pull over for like an hour. Vern Park was beautiful! The bathrooms were clean-ish. About what you might expect from a side of the road park. The beach was amazing. The water was warm and the beach was clean!
